It’s been another exciting week of baseball with many excellent pitches from around the league. You’ve been voting all week, now the top pitches battle for the crown of “Pitching GIF of the Week”. Who will win? Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Noah Syndergaard’s Fastball – Thor shined on the road as he carved up the Braves lineup. Freedie Freeman had a particularly tough time against the Mets’ rookie, swinging through this 100 MPH heater that would have been ball four. (Thanks to Reddit user greybro for the tip!)

Noah Syndergaard’s Changeup – We featured both Thor’s Fastball and Changeup last week as we couldn’t decide which pitch was better. Everyone agreed, with the pair separated by only five votes. Which one will stand apart this time? Either way, watching Freddie Freeman have to deal with this incredible slow-pitch after facing a 100 MPH heater in his last at-bat is a bit comical.

Yordano Ventura’s Curveball – Ventura has one of the sharpest hooks in the game and watch it baffle Jason Kipnis as it falls under the strikezone for the punchout.

Stephen Strasburg’s Changeup – It has been a fantastic run for Strasburg as he’s held a 2.07 ERA over his last 10 starts. The big difference has been an improvement in both his secondary pitches, with his Changeup taking the main stage last night. (Thanks to Matugi1 for the tip!)

Josh Osich’s Slider – Reds slugger Joey Votto is a man of emotion, and it’s tough not to squeak out a smile after Osich confounds him with a front-door Slider for the backwards K. (Thanks to spike021 for the tip!)

Carlos Martinez’s Slider – Martinez was in prime form against the Brew Crew, featuring a variety of fantastic pitches across the start. First up is a Slider off the plate to opposing pitcher Ariel Pena who has had better days swinging a bat.

David Price’s Slider – We often don’t get the best camera angles to appreciate Price’s pitches from the left side of the rubber, but the Braves gave us an excellent look at the bend of this Slider as it cruised back over the plate to a stunned Freddie Freeman.
