Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the First Half. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Colin Rea’s Fastball – There’s something so satisfying about making a batter flinch. Rea gets Kelly Johnson to bail out on this Fastball only to be called out.

Aaron Sanchez’s Curveball – Sanchez set a new career high with 12 K’s in Tuesday’s game. This perfectly placed Curveball froze Jarrod Saltalamacchia to end Sanchez’s outing on a high note. (Thanks to Redditor iamlowsound for the tip!)

Dallas Keuchel’s Slider – Keuchel pitched into the 8th inning against the Rangers, striking out eight batters along the way. Watch Nomar Mazara add his name to the list by chasing this Slider that sweeps way across the plate and out of reach.

Rick Porcello’s Fastball – Porcello recorded six strikeouts Tuesday against the Giants, and three of those K’s were earned in the 3rd. Porcello closed out the perfect inning with a tight Fastball to Denard Span and it was marvelous.

John Lamb’s Curveball – Lamb left Tuesday’s game against the Cardinals in the 7th with a comfortable 6-1 lead, but once again the bullpen let him down. Although he got stuck with a no-decision, he picked up five K’s by utilizing his breaking balls, like this nasty 67 mph Curveball to opposing pitcher Mike Leake.
