Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the First Half. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Edinson Volquez’s Changeup – Volquez has been on a roll to start the 2016 season, and he debilitated the Tigers yesterday en route to a dub.  His Changeup was working early, fanning J.D. Martinez with this beaut in the second frame.

Jake Arrieta’s Slider – Arrieta had himself quite a night in Cincinnati, earning his second no-hitter in under a year as he blanked the Reds.  There were many pitches to choose from, but this Slider to Adam Duvall was too pretty to leave out.

Gerrit Cole’s Changeup – It was the most productive outing of the season from Cole and he was constantly painting the outside corner with his heater.  Then he flashed this comeback Changeup to Christian Bethancourt that surprised us all.

Rich Hill’s Curveball – You may be asking for Hill’s deuce to Headley instead, but it was a 3-2 pitch that was improperly called strike three.  This pitch, on the other hand, gets the plate for a beautiful backwards K.

Johnny Cueto’s Fastball – Cueto wasn’t electric against the Diamondbacks, but he got the job done.  He struck out David Peralta with this excellent front-door Fastball.
