Fernando Rodney’s Fastball – Rodney continued his incredible season, lowering his ERA to a miniscule 0.33 mark as he earned the save against the Reds. He struck out a pair, including making Joey Votto look foolish on this comeback inside Fastball.

Santiago Casilla’s Curveball – Casilla struck out the side in Pittsburgh to earn his 16th save of the season. The first came off this 3-2 Curveball that Matt Joyce just couldn’t lay off of as it bent into his knees.

Kyle Barraclough’s Slider – The National League’s K/9 leader padded his lead yesterday as Barraclough struck out two Cubs in his inning of work. The first came on this excellent front-door Slider that froze Matt Szczur.

Jerad Eickhoff’s Curveball – Eickhoff has returned to form over the past five starts, holding a 2.01 ERA and 27 strikeouts. He got the job yesterday in Minnesota, and used his beautiful hook to earn a strikeout against Max Kepler.

Jon Lester’s Curveball – While it wasn’t the flashiest of Lester starts, he kept his team in the game, allowing just 2 ER across seven frames. He struck out Giancarlo Stanton twice during the night, with his first victimization coming off this deceptive yacker.
