Jose Urquidy’s Changeup

Urquidy was great in extended action. With the injury to Ryan Pressly, Urquidy may be called on even more so during the World Series. This change to Aaron Hicks was his best of the evening.
Aroldis Chapman’s Slider

It’s flat out hard to hit 100+ mph fastballs. Lets get that out of the way. It’s even harder when Chapman also has sliders like this one up his sleeve. Unfortunately for him, his slider let him down later in the inning, as Jose Altuve smashed a hanger to left center to (once again) eliminate the Yankees.
Tommy Kahnle’s Changeup

Kahnle was solid in the postseason for the Yanks. Even though he gave up a run Saturday night, it could have been much worse if he didn’t get Yordan Alvarez out. This was a crucial pitch in that AB. Kahnle and the Yankees have a few minor tweaks to make, but we can expect them back in the playoffs next fall.
Adam Ottavino’s Two-Seamer

This year, Ottavino was one of the most featured players in the “Nastiest Pitches” column. Take one look at this pitch and you can see why. With the Yankees being eliminated, we won’t see Ottavino throw meaningful pitches for another five months. Goodnight, sweet prince.
