We need baseball in our lives. I can’t express how much I was looking forward to Opening Day 2020, but I don’t need to, because I know you all were too. Baseball is important to all of us, and in these difficult times, it feels like we need it now more than ever.
That’s why, beginning on what would have been Opening Day, we’ll be hosting watch parties of classic baseball games Every. Day. We’ll watch the games together on our Discord, staff and community members alike, and we’ll talk baseball. We will put out a schedule on Sundays and Wednesdays with the schedule of games for the next week and what time they start, and the morning after each game we’ll have a recap article up on the site.
The first game will be inside the Discord at 1:00 EST on old Opening Day – Thursday, March 26th.
As for the games themselves? We’ve got all types of games coming up. Big playoff moments, rookie debuts, no-hitters, even just some fun regular season games. Who knows, maybe we’ll throw in some World Baseball Classic games, old All-Star Futures games, we might even do a Home Run Derby. Whatever it is, we’ll be doing it together, just hanging out and talking baseball, like it should be.
