Nathan Eovaldi’s Splitter – Yeesh, this Splitter from Nathan Eovaldi is grotesque. In his fourth start for the Red Sox, Eovaldi finished five frames with one earned run, five strikeouts and no walks.

Gerrit Cole’s Slider – This is what Gerrit Cole has to say about your regression talk after a couple not-so-great outings. Cole went to work against the Rockies yesterday, pitching six innings of one-run ball with twelve strikeouts and no walks. Twenty-one swinging strikes on the night is pretty solid, IMO.

Jose Berrios’ Curveball- Berrios had another rough outing against Pittsburg yesterday failing to get out of the fourth inning, but we still have to appreciate this hook here to Josh Harrison. The man is a volatile pitcher, but this Curve is always a beaut.

Carlos Rodon’s Slider – A mere walk in this outing from Rodon is good to see. Rodon pitched eight innings in this one against the Tigers giving up three runs with six strikeouts. This is the first time since June 30 that Rodon has given up more than two earned runs in an outing, and we can all dig that. Use this slide piece to keep cruisin’, my guy.

Vince Velasquez’s Curveball – Another brutal outing from Vince Velasquez yesterday, however, I’m loving the depth of this Uncle Charlie to get Mitch Moreland in the first inning. Let’s see more of this Vince.

Edwin Diaz’s Slider – Save number forty-seven from Edwin Diaz, matching Alex Colome’s league-leading total from last year…on August 15. This 0-2 Slider to Marcus Semien is just showing off the pièce de résistance that makes him a baaaaaad man.

Chris Archer’s Changeup – I’m still getting accustomed to seeing Chris Archer in a new uniform. The five innings and four earned yesterday are not great, but I love seeing this dirty 90 mph Changeup to Jorge Polanco and I’m hoping that Archer gets in a groove going forward.
