The final regular-season games kick off today and the season that was never meant to be has turned into one of the most exciting seasons in Major League history. Next week, 16 teams will participate in the expanded playoffs.
Let’s enjoy the best of baseball from all teams while we can and dive into all the wonderful tidbits from Saturday’s slate of games.
Party On Deck!
It has been another miserable year for Pittsburgh Pirates fans. So, I wanted to show them some love on this final weekend of the season, and give them a reason or two to look forward to next year. The Pirates bullpen was definitely feeling positive during today’s win against the Cleveland Indians – Bryan Reynolds gave them plenty of reason to.

Colin Moran gave them another reason to crank up the party at the top of the 4th inning with his 10th homer of the year.

Mascot Mayhem
The Major League Baseball team mascots continue to provide the smiles in this strangest of seasons without fans in the stadiums. There was something dodgy in the water today, however.
