Every weekend here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: Start, Maybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are circumstantial and dependent on your needs in a 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we'll dive into it together.
Here's the massive table containing every Week 20 start from 8/14 - 8/20:
There’s currently a “Show Entries” drop down menu that maxes out at 100, there are 102 starts. Can’t see the last two.
Sorry about that! Fixed.
Wow… not a lot of green this week.
Starting Rodon against the Dodgers?
Dang, that should be a Maybe.
My brain read “Darvish = TEX” still. Thanks for that, just changed it.
Why are all the sites (including pitcherlist) showing Bumgarner going on the 15th and then Mon the 21st. He usually goes every 5 days and there aren’t any breaks, I’d expect 15th and 20th for 2 starts this week. Probable pitchers show TBD for Sat/Sun. Am I missing something?
Because of yesterday’s double-header, the assumption is that the Giants will find a starter for tomorrow (Cain?) to give Stratton an extra day of rest before he’d normally pitch (would be just 3 days if they followed the normal rotation), then send the rotation back a day –> Shark, Stratton, Moore, Blach, Bumgarner.
Would you start a two-start Castillo or a one-start Taillon? I’m in a points league, so if Castillo blows up against the Cubs, his second start may not help enough to offset the damage.
I think you go Castillo twice.
Thanks for the fast reply! You’re awesome — love the site.
Thanks! And no problem
By the way, I also have Morton (who’s a Maybe) and Nelson (who’s a Start), but I’m not particularly comfortable starting Nelson in COL, especially after his last start.
I’m in a points league and we have a limit of pickups. I have 2 left and I’m down 60 this week. Should I go for it this week and pickup newcomb and either gallardo or lively for Sunday or should I use the pickups on next week starts on Monday
