We’re coming up on September, which means playoff races are getting crazy. That’s what everyone is paying attention to now! However, there’s still a lot of baseball content to look at and enjoy. Let’s see what Wednesday had in store.
Get a Win and a Base
One great thing about winning a game, besides the actual win, is the post-game celebrations between the players. The outfielders usually have a celebration between the three of them. The closer has his own celebration or maybe one with the catcher. Then they all get together and high-five. Kolten Wong had a different celebration on Wednesday.

Now, to be honest, I’m not really sure what happened here. I don’t know the backstory, so if anyone has that information I’d love to know. Regardless, it’s entertaining. I mean, who takes a base? Why would you want the base? What are you going to do with it? I’m genuinely curious, I have a few questions.
Merrifield Had Some Fun
Brady Singer pitched well and the Royals beat the Astros on Wednesday. Singer came away with a no-decision, but his teammate Whit Merrifield had some fun with him in his post-game presser.
He came out of nowhere and did this…
Brady Singer did not factor in the decision, but Whit Merrifield saddled him with an "L."

Now, this definitely looked like ice water, which would absolutely get this kind of reaction. Especially if he didn’t see it coming.
At least Singer took it lightly and laughed. The best part is the clear editing of the cursing, so it definitely startled him. He thought he saw something, but he didn’t react in time. You’ve got to be quicker than that, Brady!
The Brewers Were Excited
The Brewers had an exciting win on Wednesday. They came back and beat their division rival, the St. Louis Cardinals, in extra innings. And with an exciting win comes an exciting reaction.
WOOOOOOO!

It all seems like normal ‘woos’ but then comes the last guy. I’m not really sure who that player is, but boy is he excited. The energy levels are off the charts and they should be. Get pumped, Brew Crew.
Top-Notch Dance Moves
We usually get a great shot of a fan having the time of their life during a game. Wednesday was no different, with a Nationals fan having an absolute blast.

First of all, they’re great moves. Second of all, the fans around him are enjoying it, clapping and cheering him on. Finally, he puts his hands up when he’s done, accepting his applause. Everything about this is great.
Everyone Loves Baseball
Baseball is a sport everyone can enjoy. That includes pets. And, boy, was this pet enjoying it.

McCovey Cove is a great place to hang out, enjoy the water, listen to a game, and maybe catch a ball. This dog was ready to get a ball if need be.
Please go back and watch the StL game. Kolton Wong stole a base against Molina and celebrated by trying to pull up the base a la Rickey Henderson. The drama was enhanced by the call being under review. Wong was honoring one of the great catchers and good friend from his St Louis days.
Also that is, go back and watch the game as in you will love it. It is everything for which your awesome column stands. Not a complaint. Your column brightens my day, thank you for the terrific uplifting content.
