Notes

  • We have four new additions this week, which include Blake Treinen, Austin Brice, Adam Cimber, and Jairo Diaz. While it wasn’t what Treinen or the A’s were hoping for in his return from the IL, he is still expected to take over as the team’s closer as early as this weekend.
  • Leaving the list are Chaz Roe, Marcus Walden, Ryan Buchter, and Carlos Estevez. Both Anthony Swarzak and Amir Garrett hit the IL this past week, but they both appear to be on track to return right after the All-Star break.
  • Only two relievers had three SV+HDs this past week: Raisel Iglesias and Yusmeiro Petit. The three saves were nice to see from Iglesias, especially after Michael Lorenzen had just stolen three himself over the prior two weeks, but the saves weren’t without any drama. Petit has benefited with Treinen out but has probably worked his way into at least a seventh-inning setup role at this point.

Question about which reliever is preferred for ROS. 10-team saves+holds league. I’ve already got Britton on my roster, but there is Strop and Pagan on waivers. Due to Alvarado going on IL for 2 months, should I drop Britton for Pagan or Strop, or stay with who I have?
