Welcome to Pitcher List 3.0!
The entire team and I have been hard at work through the off-season to revamp the entire site and I’ve made a quick video to give you a tour of what has changed moving forward:

Allow me to go through each new feature as there is plenty to go over:
New Look
We rebuilt the site from the ground up, bringing a new logo along the way. We’re adding professional sports photos, sleeker articles, and ensured the site was mobile friendly to give the best experiences to our readers.
Triple the Staff, Double The Content
Pitcher List has gone from a staff of three in 2013 to fifteen in 2017 to forty in 2018, as we’ll feature ten pieces of content daily through the season. We’ve assembled a talented staff spanning many outlets including Rotoballer, SBNation, and Fansided, as well as many fantastic people to help in the backend to give us the flexibility to expand our focus from pure fantasy to all aspects of baseball.
Guest Articles
One of the most requested features for the site was a way to have our readers get a chance to share their thoughts with the masses. We’ve added a community manager to the team that will oversee all guest submissions as we’ll be holding a regular Community Post feature on the site to give our passionate readers exposure without the commitment of a weekly article. Check out our Write For Us page for more information.
Expanded Player Database
Not only have we already undergone our 2018 GIF update for starting pitchers, we’ve added every pitcher – including relievers – who threw a pitch in 2017, accumulating over 2,400 GIFs.
In addition, we’ve begun the process of adding hitters to the site as well, as well as moving towards expanding our stats beyond player pages.
Improved Player Pages
We’re reintroducing our innovative stat table, which allows you to stop scrolling through pages and give you all your data without changing screens or losing your place. We have plenty of plans to continue expanding our table through the year, including SP roundup and GIF Roundup archives, injury histories, and expanded pitch information.
xStats and VPR
It gives us great pleasure to be the first host of xStats outside of its home and we cannot wait to dive into the numbers with everyone. In addition, we’re excited to have the proper foundation to let VPR have its day and look for our in-depth breakdown of the Pitcher List stat later this week.
Real-time Database
We’ll have a stronger focus on maintaining our player database moving forward, which means we will have regular updates through the week to add all new players making their debuts. No longer will Luis Castillo not have a page on his site mid-season.
Daily Morning Podcast
One of the more exciting features for the regular season will be through “The First Pitch” – a five-minute podcast every morning that will review the important events from the day before and what tweaks should be made to your fantasy team for the day ahead.
Pitcher List Community Slack Channel
We wanted a better way to bring our community together while making it easy for our readers to quickly get the advice they needed without waiting for us to respond to comments. Our solution: The Pitcher List Community Slack Channel. The Pitcher List staff communicates nearly exclusively through Slack and those who support us on Patreon will gain access to the Slack channel where we are all gathered 24/7. Come join us as we talk fantasy, give sneak peeks at future additions to the site, and debate Kershaw vs. Scherzer.
I could not be more excited for the season ahead, with even more features coming down the road and our talented writing staff leading the charge.
We hope to see you around the site!

Congrats! Site looks great. Excited for the future!
Thanks BJ! Hope to see you around through the year.
Finally you are back! The site that I look every day first time in the morning!
I hope we never leave you again.
I’ve been following this site since 2016. Love the new look! This is everything a baseball enthusiast could want. Now this site has gifs on EVERY SINGLE PITCHER? Too good to be true. Thanks, Nick!
It’s about time we had relievers included on the site!
Glad you enjoy the re-launch :)
Congrats, the new website looks great! The old one was really holding you guys back, so I’m thrilled to see it revamped. Can’t wait for the season to start!
Thanks Tim! I’m looking forward to a fun year ahead.
There’s a lot to digest with all the new content/features but that’s a good thing!
It’s a lot more fun dropping plenty of things at once than spreading them out slowly. Hope you enjoy it all!
Love the new look and content! Bravo!
Love the new look Nick! Frankly I’m surprised to hear you’re up to 40 staff (sounds massive!), but with how much content you’re putting out – and the incredibly high quality – I shouldn’t be surprised! Looking forward to another great year, don’t know what I’d do without PitcherList!
