Top SP: Wade Miley ($8,200) at LAA

Averaging 15.7 FPPG, Miley is surprisingly a relatively cheap option in today’s slate. The lefty has thrived in an Astros uniform, ranking in the 84th percentile in xwOBA and the 85th percentile in xBA. Most of his damage comes from his cutter and changeup, which a lot of batters in the Angels lineup struggle hitting. If Mike Trout is held out of the lineup for another day, this will turn out to be a great return on investment.

Honorable mention: Madison Bumgarner ($9,000) vs. NYM.

Value SP: Dakota Hudson ($5,800) at CIN

I am not a huge fan of pitchers who start in Great American Ball Park, but Hudson is your best shot at a value starting pitcher in today’s slate. The young right-hander is putting together a really good season for the Cardinals, sporting a 3.48 ERA over 98.1 innings. Although the numbers look good on the surface, the peripherals tell a different story, and his luck may run out soon. Fortunately for us, we just need him to be good for one more day, and at this price point, he definitely has some value.

Honorable mention: Merrill Kelly ($6,000) vs. MIL.

1B: Freddie Freeman ($4,900) vs. WAS (RHP Stephen Strasburg)

A bit of a chalk play here, Freeman is rightfully the most expensive first baseman on the board today. Having another All-Star year, it’s no secret that the first baseman owns Strasburg throughout his career. In just 53 at-bats, Freeman is hitting .340 with 10 extra-base hits and 17 RBI. This is one of those situations where you shouldn’t try and get too cute when the answer is right in front of you. He’s worth the money.

Honorable mention: 1B: C.J. Cron ($4,000) vs. OAK (RHP Mike Fiers).

SS: Francisco Lindor ($4,400) vs. DET (LHP Matt Boyd)

Another big name on the board, Lindor is actually cheaper than guys such as Marcus Semien and Jorge Polanco today. Not only has Lindor crushed left-handed pitching over the years, but he’s also done very well against Boyd. In 24 at-bats, the shortstop has tallied nine hits, four being for extra bases. It also works in our favor that the lefty has struggled against the Indians this season. Not a bad price point for Lindor.

Honorable mention: SS: Trea Turner ($5,000) at ATL (RHP Julio Teheran)

Value Bat: 2B/SS: Donovan Solano ($3,200) vs. NYM (RHP Noah Syndergaard)

DFS is a game of risks, and there is no bigger risk than rostering a guy like Donovan Solano. Coming off a superb game last night where the righty went 4-5 with a home run, two doubles, and two RBI, the ROI could be huge here. For only $3,200, I expect some sharps to roster Solano today, so don’t get left behind.

Honorable mention: OF: Khris Davis ($3,500) at MIN (RHP Kyle Gibson).

Lineup Stack: Houston Astros at LAA (RHP Matt Harvey)

Look for the Astros’ bats to stay hot following an 11-run outburst against the Angels last night. Surprisingly, this game doesn’t have the highest run total of the night according to Vegas, but Houston has had a tremendous amount of success against Harvey in the past hitting .417 as a team against the Dark Knight.

Honorable mention: Kansas City Royals vs. CWS (RHP Ross Detwiler).
