Welcome to the Waiver Wire Picks, our daily fantasy baseball article that looks at the best players in baseball that you should be adding to your rosters. We’ll look at the players that are likely to be available in most leagues, as well as some deep league waiver wire options, and we’ll also look at the most added players in fantasy baseball across the major sites, and let you know which players to add, and which players you can leave on the wire.
Top Priority Players to Add
Colt Keith (DET), INF — 28% Rostership
Keith, 24, has been exceptional to start the year, slashing .317/.349/.433 with a 123 wRC+ and .343 xwOBA. That’s just it… his expected numbers completely back up his stellar start. He’s actually underperforming his xSLG (.474) by over 40 points, his EV has jumped 4 mph, plus he’s seen his hard-hit rate (58%) increase by over 14%.
Keith has seen his bat speed jump by 3 mph to start the 2026 campaign. His fast swing rate — a metric found under FanGraphs’ new Statcast Bat Tracking section — has more than doubled. There are other things to like as well, such as the SqUpSw% over 50%, BlastCon% and BlastSw% both reaching career-highs, and his pull air rate (22%) is on the rise.
Angel Martínez (CLE), OF — 40% Rostership
Martinez, 24, is one of the most-under-the-radar bats to grab in fantasy baseball right now. He’s completely transformed compared to his 2024-25 form, slashing .279/.333/.443 with a 123 wRC+ fueled by an upgraded xwOBA that has jumped nearly a full tick. One full tick! On top of this, Martinez has limited his whiff (16% K rate — down 5% compared to 2025).
Martinez, like Keith, has seen some major underlying metrics skyrocket. His hard-hit rate (43%) and barrel% (8%) have nearly doubled, .283 xBA holds true compared to his standard production, and both his EV (90 mph) and max EV (110.1 mph) have each jumped +3 mph. His elite 26% pull air rate continues to impress, too.
Mauricio Dubón (ATL), UTL — 61% Rostership
Dubon, 31, is slashing .319/.365/.493 with a 139 wRC+ — a mark that completely blows his previous career-high (99) way out of the water. It’s remarkable what he’s done with Atlanta, increasing both his BlastSw% and BlastCon% by more than double his previous year’s rate and has seen his xwOBA (.331) morph into a respectable mark.
Jeremiah Jackson (BAL), INF/OF — 50% Rostership
Jackson, despite not taking a walk in 62 plate appearances, has hit his way onto a handful of fantasy teams this year. He’s gone 19-for-60 (.317 BA) with a .923 OPS and monster 158 wRC+, amassing 0.6 fWAR with the Orioles in 18 games. If you want to see a diabolical ISO, Jackson is your guy — his .283 mark ranks 16th in all of baseball, while his 5 HR is tied for fourth in MLB despite having at least 20-30 plate appearances less than the next few leaders. If your lineup needs a power surge, he’s your guy.
Yahoo and ESPN Most Added Players

Oswald Peraza’s stock has increased quite noticeably over the past ten days where he’s slashed .391/.500/.870 with a jaw-dropping .472 xwOBA and 276 wRC+. He’s walked double the amount of times (4) compared to striking out (2) over that span. Oh, and did I mention he’s crushed three home runs? Yeah, that’ll play.

I mentioned Jackson and a handful of position players above. Let’s dive into some arms! Paul Sewald, at 36 years old, has been a revelation for the Diamondbacks turning in a 2.16 ERA/2.76 xERA with an impressive 38% K rate. Best of all? He has yet to allow a walk all year. Sewald has held batters to a .138 average and induced an elite 43% chase rate.

Ryne Nelson (AZ), RHP — 68% Rostership
Nelson, 28, has posted a 3.58 ERA in 20.1 IP, allowing batters to hit just .167 off him and amassing 19 Ks (22%). His four-seamer is fantastic, per usual, generating a .199 BAA and and 22% whiff rate, plus his slider is producing the best numbers of his career (.100 BAA, .235 xwOBA, 37% whiff rate). He’s a high floor arm that should compete throughout the year.
Joey Cantillo (CLE), LHP — 52% Rostership
If you read my Waiver Wire article last week or spoke to me over the offseason about pitching names to keep an eye on, you’d know how high I am on Cantillo. I’d sort him under “must claim” but two weeks in a row seems repetitive. His 2.61 ERA/3.15 xERA combined with a 30% K rate and excellent secondaries make him such an intriguing add.
Reid Detmers (LAA), LHP — 35% Rostership
Detmers, the always-talented-southpaw, looks to have finally found his groove with the Angels. This brings a smile to my face — it was only a matter of time. The 26-year-old lefty — also mentioned above on ESPN’s Most-Added List, has posted a 2.49 FIP and 21% K-BB rate in 22.2 innings, boasting 2 quality starts and is on pace to break his career-best fWAR total. File this under “things you love to see”.
