Welcome to the Waiver Wire Picks, our daily fantasy baseball article that looks at the best players in baseball that you should be adding to your rosters. We’ll look at the players that are likely to be available in most leagues, as well as some deep league waiver wire options, and we’ll also look at the most added players in fantasy baseball across the major sites, and let you know which players to add, and which players you can leave on the wire.
Top Priority Players to Add
Brandon Lowe (TB) 2B (71% Yahoo, 34% ESPN)
So was it Kevin Cash or the Tampa Bay front office who finally took the handcuffs off of Lowe? Because in terms of lefty-on-lefty opportunity, Lowe has been getting it lately. Before he entered this past weekend of action, he slashed .249/.298/.446 with 11 home runs. At one point during a 15-game span, Lowe owned a 1.219 OPS. He typically hits second or third in the lineup with good lineup context and plenty of help around him in hitters like Josh Lowe and Junior Caminero. The talent was always there if you look at his career numbers. Even though he never played everyday in the past, the 162-game averages show what he’s capable of: 33 HR, 96 RBI, and an .806 OPS. He’s been crushing the ball as of late and if you haven’t joined the wagon yet, it could be too late. The second base market is pretty dry these days, so take advantage if you can.
Noah Cameron (KC) OF (42% Yahoo, 26% ESPN)
The strikeout stuff is not dazzling, but after four straight productive starts, Cameron is worth your attention. In 25.2 innings, he sports a 1.05 ERA and 0.82 WHIP. He has only gathered 16 Ks thus far, but did throw eight of them in a start in Minnesota. He’s missing barrels at a very healthy rate, which is inducing soft contact. It’s hard to trust a guy whose velocity isn’t the greatest, especially in today’s game. However, going six strong in each outing thus far and putting up these types of numbers is special. Plus, he’s performing in an extreme pitcher’s park at Kauffman Stadium, which is always nice. At the very least, he’s an accountable streamer with possible upside.
Jameson Taillon (ChC) OF (50% Yahoo, 31% ESPN)
In a Cubs rotation mired with injuries and setbacks, Taillon has been a constant reminder of how important solid starting pitching is. In eleven starts so far, he has given up more than three runs only twice. That type of production will always keep the team in the game for a chance to win, and better yet, serve fantasy managers well. What’s most impressive is his ability to minimize free passes. In four of those eleven starts, he has given up zero walks. The aggressive approach of daring hitters to hit is paying off. His extension is solid and keeps the hitters guessing with a six-pitch arsenal. The Cubs are offering plenty of run support these days with opportunities for victories along the way. Taillon is one of the more underrated pitchers on the market under 50% owned, cash in as soon as possible.
Yahoo and ESPN Most Added Players

The top five most added players include two starting pitchers and three position players. Taillon and Lowe were both mentioned previously, and both deserve attention as a result of their recent performance. Ryan O’Hearn has been knocking the ball all over the diamond, and with dual eligibility at first base and the outfield, he will bring versatility to your squad. Miguel Vargas brings the same characteristic with him while also being eligible at third base. It looks as if Vargas is coming into his own this season with Chicago. Every day at-bats, a few swing adjustments, and proper confidence have fueled his surge at the plate. Suarez went 6 innings strong against Milwaukee on Sunday, giving up just two earned runs.

Tyler Anderson (LAA) @ BOS (19% Yahoo, 14% ESPN)
Anderson has always had a bit of trouble with keeping the ball in the ballpark, but so far in 2025, he’s been able to keep things in check. Dancing to the tune of a 3.39 ERA and 1.21 WHIP, Anderson has been efficient with most lineups. On Monday, he faces a questionable Boston lineup without Alex Bregman. Since he’s gone down, this Red Sox team has struggled to produce offensively. As long as Anderson stays away from the walks, he’s worth taking a look at in deeper leagues. His previous outing was against a tough Yankees lineup, only giving up one earned run in six innings. That’s enough for me to give him a chance against Boston.
Speculative Adds
Roman Anthony (BOS) OF (30% Yahoo, 9% ESPN)
Many Boston fans are upset with the fact that Anthony is not yet with the team. I’m here to tell all of his owners one thing; stay patient. When he does get the call, and it will be soon enough, Anthony will produce right away. This Boston offense has needed a spark plug ever since Kristian Campbell entered a deep slump and Alex Bregman went down. Anthony is hungry for more, hitting .354/.485/.494 at Triple-A Worcester. He’s walking over twenty percent of the time while striking out under twenty percent of the time. Five homers in 23 games is nothing to ignore, while we know that the plate approach has always been a healthy one. Everything is present and working for the top prospect in baseball. Both of his Yahoo and ESPN roster rates should be way over 30% and 9%, considering he will impact the game as soon as he gets the call.
Chandler Simpson (TB) OF (22% Yahoo, 14% ESPN)
Many were upset with Tampa Bay’s decision to send Simpson back to Triple-A Durham. However, this move will pay off over time. Simpson still needs to get on base at a higher rate to truly remain effective, considering his OPS was a mere .632 through 35 games. He owns a better speed tool than anyone in the game. If he’s going to steal as much as possible, he first needs to consistently get on base with a better eye or improved contact. In other words, some more development in the minors isn’t the worst thing in the world. Keep Simpson rostered if possible, and be patient. His skill set could bring you a fantastic advantage over other league members.
