Max Scherzer Reaches Another Milestone
While Scherzer’s time in New York suggested his numbers were slipping, it looks like he just needed some Southern energy since all he has done is dominate. Since becoming a Ranger, he has pitched to a 1.80 ERA, with 26 strikeouts and notching 3 victories. In his most recent start in Arlington, he became 11th on the all-time strikeout list, notching his 3343rd strikeout. Next up is Greg Maddux, with 3371 strikeouts. A few more starts like he’s had in Arlington and Scherzer could reach the top 10 all-time by season’s end.

Best Moments From Yesterday
Big League Stars at the Little League World Series
MLB continued its tradition of hosting one major league game at the Little League World Series. This year featured the Nationals vs. Phillies. While the game did not have much offense from the reigning National League Champs, one of their stars did win the day with his fashion sense. We are all used to seeing pink-themed bats for Mother’s Day; blue for Father’s Day. But I think Bryson Stott may be the first player to debut a completely different object as his bat. Stott is seen with a Number 2 pencil bat. And while no one likes to return to school after summertime, this makes it a bit easier to swallow.
