Noe Ramirez’s Changeup – Ramirez didn’t have the best outing on Thursday, but his wicked changeup has been filthy all year and deserves some love. His 50.4% o-swing rate and 20.9% swinging strike rate are obvious when you see a pitch like this one to Denard Span. Woof.

Mychal Givens‘ Slider – Givens brought a wicked slider here to Stephen Piscotty, getting a desperate hack for strike two. Givens has a 14.1% swinging strike rate on his slider this season.

Sandy Alcantara’s Sinker – Alcantara posted a quality start against the Mets on Thursday, fanning six. He used his wicked sinker here to get a big whiff from Kevin Plawecki.

Greg Holland’s Slider – Holland dropped this big nasty hook on Ben Zobrist to get a huge strike three in a crucial spot in the eighth inning. Woof.

Seth Lugo’s Curveball – Lugo has continued his dominance out of the Mets bullpen, here tossing his heavy curveball in a perfect spot for strike three.

Clayton Kershaw’s Slider – Kershaw had himself a PQS on Thursday, picking up eight strikeouts in the process. Here he got himself a nice strikeout on a front-door slider to Paul DeJong. Nasty.
