This Stash List highlights the 10 best-hitting prospects likely to make an impact during the 2026 season.
Prospects are often thought of as only holding value in dynasty formats. However, redraft leagues, especially those that are keeper leagues, can benefit from finding the right hitter to stash at the right time on the waiver wire. Even though the season is winding down, now is not the time for fantasy managers to get lazy. So let’s break down the Top 10 prospects to stash for the stretch run of the 2026 season.
Ground Rules
- The Stash List is for your redraft leagues and does not consider impact beyond 2026.
- Only current minor league players who are expected to make an impact this season are included.
- Upside, proximity, health, and opportunity are all weighed for each player.

Top 10 Hitting Prospects to Stash
1. Charlie Condon, 1B/OF – Colorado Rockies
2026 MiLB numbers
Despite slowing down over the past few weeks, Charlie Condon is still the most valuable prospect for fantasy managers to stash. The reasoning is simple: upside. Condon has difference-making power. When he has things going, he could be a league winner in that category, especially if you find him on a week where he is playing at Coors Field. This plus his proximity to the Major Leagues makes him an excellent stash option. TJ Rumfield continues to play first base every day for Colorado, but he has not hit a home run since July 18 and owns a 74 wRC+ over that span. Zac Veen is also getting regular at-bats despite batting .208 since being promoted to the Major Leagues.
To be fair, Condon has not hit a home run since August 6. His hard-hit rate and average exit velocity are both down during that stretch. However, there have not been any noticeable changes in his whiff or strikeout rate. That is a positive for fantasy managers. Condon will likely need to get hot again to force the Rockies’ hand. If he does, there will be a rush to add him in free agency. Fantasy managers would be well served to grab and stash him now before it is too late.
2. Seaver King, SS/2B – Washington Nationals
2026 MiLB numbers
Seaver King got off to a blazing start to 2026. Then, he struggled and landed on the IL for a month with an oblique injury. At first, it was just nice to see King healthy again. Now, he is proving there are no lingering effects of the oblique injury. King has been absolutely on fire at the dish lately. Since returning to Triple-A on July 30, King is slashing .375/.471/.716. He has an eye-popping eight home runs over that stretch. For King, everything starts with his approach at the plate. Last year, his aggression cost him. He spent all off-season adjusting his approach and found great success in Double-A while walking 13.3% of the time. During his Triple-A slump, King was walking 6% of the time. Unsurprisingly, his walk rate since returning is back up over 13%.
King is showing the Nationals everything they need to see to reward him with a late-season promotion. For dynasty purposes, King has excellent contact skills along with plus speed. The power is all contingent on that plate discipline sticking following a promotion. There are multiple avenues for King to earn a Major League promotion. Nasim Nunez has cooled back off and owns a 56 wRC+ on the season. Abimelec Ortiz is batting .208 and is just five for his last 45. Jorbit Vivas is also not somebody who should keep King in Triple-A. Now is the time to grab King before rosters expand in September.
3. Walker Jenkins, OF – Minnesota Twins
*Note: Walker Jenkins was promoted late on Thursday. He offers substantial upside for fantasy managers and is a must-add.
2026 MiLB numbers
Speaking of hitters who are red hot, the Walker Jenkins breakout seems to be upon us. Jenkins has always had all of the tools to be an elite dynasty asset. The issues have been staying healthy and putting all of his tools together. While the hit tool has shined all season, Jenkins is finally getting to more power. Since August 6, Jenkins has eight home runs and is slugging .864. Over that span, Jenkins has increased his average launch angle significantly with an impressive 46.8% hard hit rate. The best part is that there is even more left to unlock. Jenkins is still hardly pulling the ball, even during this power outburst. Combining his increased launch angle with a higher pull rate should help to unlock the 30+ home run potential present in his profile.
Jenkins deserves a crack at the Major Leagues this season. Trevor Larnach is batting .164 since the start of August, and Josh Bell is not somebody who should keep Jenkins down in Triple-A. He ranks third on this stash list, only because the path to a promotion seems a bit more clouded. However, his long-term upside is higher than both Condon and King. He is a great stash candidate for the final weeks of the season.
4. Ethan Salas, C – San Diego Padres
2026 MiLB numbers
All credit to Freddy Fermin; he has been playing extremely well as of late. He is batting .327 since July 29. However, that is coming with a near-.400 BABIP and a 1.9% walk rate. He is due to return to Earth. Meanwhile, Ethan Salas has continued to play extremely well in Triple-A. Salas is batting .304 since his promotion with an unbelievable 92.7% contact rate. The polish that Salas possesses behind the dish is remarkable. There is no part of Salas’ game that resembles that of a 20-year-old prospect.
That polish makes a compelling case for stashing Salas in fantasy leagues. So often, prospects struggle to adjust to Major League pitching. However, Salas’ approach should make the transition nearly seamless. For those in two-catcher formats, Salas offers a potential boost to end the season. He is hitting for more power than ever before, has sneaky speed for a catcher, and should post strong on-base numbers. Fermin is going to cool off, and when he does, do not be surprised if San Diego promotes Salas to the Major Leagues.
5. Ralphy Velazquez, 1B – Cleveland Guardians
2026 MiLB numbers
Strictly in terms of recent performance, Ralphy Velazquez would rank at the top of this list. The power surge he is on recently is incredible. Velazquez has 16 home runs in his last 100 plate appearances. For those doing the math, that is a 96 HR/600 pace. Truly incredible stuff from Velazquez, who looks ready for a Major League promotion. There are still some underlying concerns over his pitch recognition and aggressive approach. However, Velazquez is quickly proving that his power can be game-changing for fantasy managers.
The issue is that there is not a clear path to a Major League promotion. Cleveland is winning ballgames right now, and Nathaniel Lowe has been at least serviceable since being acquired from the Reds. Sure, he could get hurt, but it seems unlikely that they would bench him. Velazquez has played some outfield, but none of Steven Kwan, Jo Adell, or Chase DeLauter are giving up their lineup spot. Velazquez’s promotion is likely dependent on an injury. However, he is a high-upside stash option for fantasy managers.
6. Franklin Arias, SS – Boston Red Sox
2026 MiLB numbers
One of the fastest-rising prospects this season has been Franklin Arias. For those in the dynasty community, Arias’ hit tool has long been considered outstanding. He has taken his one elite tool and now added 20+ home run power to go with an above-average glove at shortstop. His production has not slowed down since his promotion to Triple-A. Arias is slashing .299/.364/.485 since the promotion. Interestingly, at Triple-A he has split time almost evenly between shortstop and second base. This is a clear signal that Boston is trying to find his most likely path to the Major Leagues.
Trevor Story is returning from the IL, so that likely takes away the shortstop option. Second base is seemingly wide open, although the team has really liked what Nick Sogard has provided. He is playing every day and batting leadoff. However, Sogard is 28 and has never proven capable of maintaining an everyday role. DH is also an option, but Mickey Gasper is the hottest hitter in baseball. Gasper and Sogard are nice stories, but are unlikely to maintain their strong performances. Arias has significant upside for fantasy managers and is worth stash consideration.
7. James Tibbs III, 1B/OF – Los Angeles Dodgers
2026 MiLB numbers
| AVG | HR | SB | BB% | K% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.298 | 27 | 7 | 17.0 | 22.1 |
Once you get past the top options, it becomes an upside versus probability debate. We are late enough in the season where there are not many elite options left to stash. Enter James Tibbs III, who is still patiently waiting his turn. Tibbs has hit for substantial power all season down in Triple-A, but is blocked by a loaded Dodgers’ roster. He is entirely reliant on an injury to earn a promotion, but who is to say that Freddie Freeman or Teoscar Hernandez could not get injured? Nobody wants that, (not even those praying for the Dodgers’ downfall), but it is entirely possible.
If somebody were to get hurt, Tibbs has enough upside to carry intrigue for those in 12-team leagues. The hit tool is still not perfect, but Tibbs has made noticeable improvements to his strikeout rate throughout this season. Since July 12, Tibbs is striking out less than 15% of the time with more walks than Ks. Over that stretch, he is slashing .336/.461/.566. Tibbs’ whiff rate over that stretch is down to 23.4% compared to 31.9% before then. Tibbs has already become a more complete hitter with significant power upside. While a promotion is unlikely, he is still worth stashing in case.
8. Sebastian Walcott, 3B/SS – Texas Rangers
2026 MiLB numbers
Sebastian Walcott is the only player on this list who is not in Triple-A. That makes Walcott an upside-stash. The Rangers are more than likely going to let Walcott finish the season in Double-A. However, the longer they hang around the playoff race, the more likely a late-season promotion becomes. Cody Freeman is currently playing third base every day for the Rangers. In 18 Major League games this season, Freeman has been fine, batting .277. However, he lacks much upside, has very little power, and should see his .351 BABIP come down. Walcott has far more offensive upside and could find himself in Texas as a late-season call-up.
Walcott would have likely already been in the Major Leagues if not for a UCL injury suffered in Spring Training. In 24 games since returning to Double-A, Walcott is batting .292 with three home runs and five stolen bases. The fantasy appeal is significant. Walcott has 30+ home run raw power with 20+ stolen base speed. How much Walcott hits will ultimately determine his long-term value. In deep leagues, he is worthy of stash consideration.
9. Michael Arroyo, 2B/OF – Seattle Mariners
2026 MiLB numbers
Over his last 11 games, Michael Arroyo has made 10 starts in left field. This is a clear signal that the Mariners are trying to figure out how to get Arroyo up to the Major Leagues. Arroyo could serve in a super-utility role for the Mariners, giving them a right-handed bat over somebody like Weston Wilson. Arroyo could also slot in at second base and allow Cole Young to play some shortstop. Unfortunately, as Arroyo focuses on a new defensive position, he has begun struggling offensively. Arroyo is batting .178 over his last 11 games.
Despite his struggles recently, Arroyo has had another strong season. Despite his smaller size, he has continued to hit for at least average power with a strong 90th percentile exit velocity. He can get a bit aggressive at times, but he controls the barrel well with good contact skills and the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Fantasy managers will get a little bit of everything from Arroyo once promoted, as he can hit for decent average, power, and provide stolen bases. The Mariners need to add another right-handed bat to their roster at some point. Arroyo is the most logical option.
10. Bo Davidson, OF – San Francisco Giants
2026 MiLB numbers
Bo Davidson is a very exciting prospect. In terms of tools, fantasy managers should be very intrigued. He has tremendous raw power that has continued to improve. He is up to a career-high 25 home runs on the season and has a 48.2% hard-hit rate since his promotion to Triple-A. Truthfully, Davidson has looked incredible since his promotion to Triple-A. We know there are hit tool concerns, but he is making contact at the highest rate of his career with a better-than-average chase rate. He looks like a player who could ride a hot streak right into a Major League promotion. If fantasy managers add him while hot, he could be a substantial boost to teams in the playoffs.
The Giants have plenty of holes on their roster that Davidson could fill. 27-year-old rookie Turner Hill is currently getting everyday playing time in left field. While Hill has put up strong numbers this season, he does not have a track record that suggests he could be an everyday Major Leaguer. Davidson should get an opportunity before the end of the season. He lands at 10th on this week’s stash list update.
