Notes
- We have six new additions this week, which include Ryan Pressly, Dustin May, Julio Urias, Erik Swanson, Pedro Strop, and Jimmy Cordero. Pressly returned to action last week and looked like his normal, dominant self. Swanson now seems like the new favorite for saves in Seattle, but with three games in Oakland remaining, he may not see another opportunity.
- Leaving the list are Mychal Givens, Anthony Swarzak, David Phelps, Shawn Kelley, Hector Rondon, and Tim Hill. Givens now has a 7.71 ERA over the past month while collecting just two SV+HLDs.
- Daniel Hudson has earned four saves since last Friday, making him the clear leader in SV+HLDs over the past week: Since ending the Nationals’ monthlong stretch without a save on Sept. 17, Hudson has gone on to rack up five over the past 10 days while also chipping in six strikeouts and allowing just five baserunners and no runs over eight innings.
