Weekend Streaming: Week 24

Searching for five players to help you win your Week 24 matchup.

Welcome back to another weekend streaming article where I select five players based on hot streaks, pitching/team matchups, or a combination of things to help fantasy owners acquire cheap, low-roster rate (35% or below) production to help win the last two days of their weekly matchups. This week, I’ll be highlighting five players who have been rolling production-wise heading into early September.

Let’s dive into Week 24…

Daylen Lile, OF, Washington Nationals

Daylen Lile has been a major league sensation in 2025! Through 75 games as a rookie, Lile has slashed .286/.330/.459 with a 117 wRC+ — higher than his combined wRC+ between High-A and Double-A last year — and 26 XBH. His nine triples are tied for first place with none other than Bryce Harper for the most three-baggers by a rookie in Nationals history. Oh, and he’s done it and just about half of Harper’s games played. Since August 31st, he has the highest wRC+ (260) in Major League Baseball (min. 10 games).

Harrison Bader, OF, Philadelphia Phillies

I’m running it back with Harrison Bader this weekend — he’s still on an absolute scorcher. Entering play today, the 31-year-old has tallied eight hits over his last three games, plus has gone a whopping 30-for-69 (.435) with a 1.182 OPS and 228 wRC+ since August 20th.

Rostered: 15% (Yahoo)

Romy González, UT, Boston Red Sox

Romy, my homie!! Gonzalez has been a next-level performer, not only for the Red Sox but also in fantasy. The key has been his ability to hit both right-handed and left-handed pitchers. While the monster 175 wRC+ against lefties remains his calling card, Gonzalez has quietly upped his BA from .217 to .282 against righties this year, partially due to a 22-for-68 (.324) stretch since the start of August. He may not be doing as much damage as he does against lefties, but the hits are falling and they’re coming in bunches.

Rostered: 16% (Yahoo)

Jacob Latz, LHP, Texas Rangers

Latz, 29, has had such an interesting year. His first outing was 4.1 scoreless innings of relief on April 23rd, then transitioned into a 1-2 inning reliever, made a few spot starts here and there, and now has fully joined the rotation, posting a 2.35 ERA through 15.1 innings in three starts since doing so on August 27th. Overall, as a starting pitcher this season, Latz has turned in a fantastic 1.08 WHIP, .208 BAA, and 2.73 ERA.

Rostered: 2% (Yahoo)

Parker Messick, LHP, Cleveland Guardians

Need a boost in the ERA department? Look no further! Messick, a 24-year-old rookie southpaw, has been tremendous over a small major league sample size. He’s pitched in 23.1 innings through four starts, turning in a 1.91 ERA/2.54 FIP with a minuscule 3% BB rate. His only implosion (9 H, 3 ER in 3.1 IP) was against a heavy-hitting Red Sox offense. Outside of that outing, he’s gone 6+ IP with 1 or fewer ER every single time. He’ll face a mediocre White Sox offense (94 wRC+ vs. LHP) on Sunday.

Rostered: 26% (Yahoo)
