He improved his season batting average to .390 with the five-hit day. With the win on Saturday, the Marlins improve to 31-28 and three games back from the NL East lead.

The Texas Rangers keep on hitting.

With their 16-6 win over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday, the Texas Rangers advance to 37-20 on the season and remain the leaders in the AL West. The big boys at the top of the lineup were on fire. Marcus Semien went 4-for-6, Corey Seager went 3-for-5, and Nathaniel Lowe went 3-for-6. Semien and Lowe homered, along with Leody Taveras and Mitch Garver. Every starter recorded a hit, except for Josh Jung who did reach on a walk. They really are the power Rangers.

Aaron Judge’s offense and defense lifts Yankees over Dodgers.

This weekend’s marquee matchup is the New York Yankees vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers took game one on Friday night thanks to a multi-homer game from Mookie Betts. Aaron Judge was the superhero on Saturday night, however, as the Yankees defeated the Dodgers 6-3. Judge hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and made a fantastic, fence-buckling grab in right field in the eighth. The Yankees also got some help from Jake Bauers who had two home runs in the game.
