Ranking All of Today And Tomorrow’s SP Streamers – 7/30 & 7/31

Nick Pollack ranks every SP Streamer for today and tomorrow.

Here are your morning rankings for today’s starting pitcher options.

It’s not perfect and will be far from the actual results at the end of the day, though it should give guidance for those questioning who to slot into your lineup on a given day.

There is a second table for tomorrow’s starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.

Pitchers highlighted in yellow = Possible streaming options.

FS = False Starter where there is an assumed opener actually starting the game.

Red = Postponed.

Reds with the number 1 today and tomorrow! I’m guessing they were number 1 yesterday too for Sonny Gray’s start. Castillo/Darvish is going to be a battle tonight!!

    • Reds Fan says:

Actually, now that I think about it, Gray was probably number 2 behind Cole. Forgot Cole started yesterday too.

    • Nick Pollack says:

Hard to ignore Bauer against Detroit again! Especially when his fastball spin rate is #1 in baseball…

  2. Mark says:

Looks like Kris Bubic getting the nod tomorrow vs CHW. Great minor league numbers but never even pitched in AA. Anything to consider here for tomorrow or ROS?

  3. Stu says:

Are you starting or sitting Ray today against LAD?

    • Nick Pollack says:

Well, Ray wasn’t fully there last time + the Dodgers are obviously a top tier offense.

I’d say it’s a higher chance he disappoints, but it’s your call if you want to roll the die. Ray could take the next step at any start.

  4. Ross says:

No PHI-TOR game tomorrow. Doubleheader on Saturday

  5. Don says:

Would you prefer Chatwood vs Pitt, or Mahle vs Detroit as streamer. I like Tony disco too, just don’t think he’ll have a high enough pitch count.

    • Nick Pollack says:

You nailed my hesitation with Mahle. I prefer to play it a little safer with Chatwood because of that. (I never expected to type “safe” and “Chatwood” in the same sentence)
