Ranking All of Today’s And Tomorrow’s SP Matchups – 5/3 & 5/4

Nick Pollack ranks every starting pitcher matchup for today's and tomorrow's games.

Here are your morning rankings for today’s starting pitcher options.

It’s not perfect and will be far from the actual results at the end of the day, though it should give guidance for those questioning who to slot into your lineup on a given day.

Note: I’ve made a change moving forward to this daily article. I’ll now be including a second table for tomorrow’s starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.

Pitchers highlighted in yellow = Possible streaming options.

FS = False Starter where there is an assumed opener actually starting the game.

Red = Postponed.

    What’s your read on Beede?

Initial call-up in 2014 but has been slinking around in the minors since. Solid start in PCL this year but numbers don’t always provide the full outlook.

    • Nick Pollack says:

There was a ton of hype surrounding him during spring training. I think he’s a guy you grab and if you’re like me, you have fun with it in a 12-teamer and let him fly.

At the very least, take a roster spot to at least see what you have and make your decision tomorrow.

Would you stream Odorizzi @ NYY this weekend. My other choices are Miley vs LAA, Roark vs SF. Pretty slim choices.

    Thanks

  3. Dan says:

No love for woodruff? His peripherals look solid and the nets are an average hitting team right now

  4. J.C. Mosier says:

Great addition this year, Nick. I like the highlighted streamers, too. Let me run another potential feature past you: a heavy line between “start” and “maybe” pitchers for each day and another one between “maybe” and “sit.” Thanks for all that you and your fellow writers do for us junkies each day!

  5. theKraken says:

Holy smokes…. The 2-1 pitch in the bottom of the 3rd with no outs was a supreme blown call in the STL game. A good ol fashioned FB right down the middle – up a few inches but what the hell?

  6. theKraken says:

I’m streaming Lynn on Saturday. Sure, it might not go well but his chanes of a really big game are higher than almost anyone on the list. He is the workhorse type that could give you a big game if he is on… especially if you are limited on starts.
