Why are you so down on Musgrove today? Velo issues in his relief appearance?
Yep! First start of the year + the surprising velocity on Sunday.
Still like him, just understand the slight caution before unleashing him through the year.
It’s going to be cold and rainy today in Pittsburg, not sure how well that will play out for Musgrove and Gray but the cold looked like it definitely was getting to Gray during his last start.
Run Maeda out there? Or, sit him in Coors?
BaseballHQ has Maeda as their #1 pitcher today. They sited his good numbers in 13 innings in coors, his great numbers vs the guys in their lineup today.
Earlier this week they had a really high grade on Matt Boyd in Yankee Stadium. Vegas had the Yanks with a 5.5 projected total… I always stay away from guys with totals over 5. I went with HQ’s high grade and was rewarded with 13ks in a seemingly tough matchup.
I’ll be keeping Maeda in my lineup today.
Thanks Sean! Great information!
Seems like a lot of confidence in Pablo Lopez against a strong ATL lineup. Is his ranking more indicative of the lack of quality of matchups below him, or confidence in his abilities to put out quality numbers against that offense?
Had planned on sitting him today in my 10 tm roto, as there’s an innings limit of 1500 and my current 5.8 ERA doesn’t need another pitcher implosion.
Why so high on Lopez? I have him and think he has good stuff, but ATL are hot
Sit Buehler in Colorado after his first start?
I’d start him.
