Tobias Myers‘ Changeup
PLV hates Myers’ changeup, rating it just 5th percentile. It also doesn’t usually generate chases like this, with a 17th percentile O-Swing%. It seemed to be working today as he got a handful of whiffs on it.
Brandon Williamson’s Changeup
This is a perfectly placed changeup by Williamson. He’s got a good one. It has an 81st percentile SwStr% and 65th percentile ICR.
Beau Brieske’s Slider
This is a nasty slider. Ordinarily, it’s pretty bad, with just an 18th percentile SwStr% and 21st percentile ICR. That’s a terrible combination.
Garrett Crochet’s Fastball
Crochet’s at it again, this time with a 99 mph four-seamer at Lindor’s hands. Nothing you can do with that pitch. Crochet has one of the game’s best fastballs. 97th percentile velo, 92nd percentile extension, 99th percentile SwStr%, and 84th percentile ICR.
Ryan Pepiot’s Fastball
Pepiot has a great rising fastball and was showing it off today. 95th percentile iVB, 74th percentile extension, and 78th percentile hiLoc% lead to a 91st percentile SwStr% and ICR.
Dylan Cease’s Slider
Cease’s slider is a frequent guest on Nastiest Pitches. 97th percentile spin and 81st percentile PLV lead to a 93rd percentile SwStr% and 73rd percentile ICR.
Alex Cobb’s Splitter
Cobb’s splitter was on today. He had a handful of whiffs on it. They flutter in there (at about 90 mph) before dropping off the table and out of the zone at the last second.
Mitch Keller’s Sweeper
Getting a whiff like that from Kwan should tell you everything you need to know about the nastiness of that sweeper. It gets 92nd percentile iHB.
Bailey Ober’s Changeup
Ober has one of the best changeups in baseball. Being 6’9″ certainly helps his 94th percentile extension. PLV loves it (98th percentile) and it has a 96th percentile SwStr% and 72nd percentile ICR.
Mason Miller’s Fastball
Miller has averaged 100.8 mph on his four-seamer. The extension and iVB on it aren’t too shabby either. Combine all that and you get a 99th percentile SwStr%.
