Grayson Rodriguez’s Four-Seam Fastball

Grayson Rodriguez wasn’t at his sharpest on Wednesday but received ample support from the Baltimore offense and coasted to an easy 10-4 victory. Rodriguez struck out eight, and put away new Blue Jay, Joey Loperfido, on some high heat.

Zac Gallen’s Knuckle-Curve

Zac Gallen went six strong innings Wednesday afternoon picking up the win against the struggling Nationals. He struck out six, five of which came on the knuckle-curve, like this one to Juan Yepez.

Taj Bradley’s Splitter

Taj Bradley has been on a roll recently but hit a bit of a speedbump on Wednesday picking up his first loss since June 8. Bradley was still able to pick up six strikeouts and locked up Emmanuel Rivera on a splitter with some great late movement.

Freddy Peralta’s Changeup

Freddy Peralta gave up a pair of solo homers but suffered no other damage as the Brewers hosted Atlanta in Milwaukee. Peralta struck out seven, on three different pitches, and concluded his outing with a great changeup to Travis d’Arnaud.

Brady Singer’s Sweeper

Brady Singer tossed another quality start for the Royals as they continue to battle for a playoff spot. The win handed the White Sox their seventeenth straight loss as Singer was provided an early lead and never looked back. He got Andrew Vaughn to chase a sweeper out of the zone here in the first.

Paolo Espino’s Curveball

Paolo Espino was called up to Toronto to make his first big league start since April and had the unfortunate task of squaring off with the Oriole lineup. He allowed four runs in as many innings and walked away with the loss. His lone strikeout came at the expense of Ryan Mountcastle on a slow breaking ball that fell off the table.

Dylan Cease’s Knuckle-Curve

He may have received a bit of help here, but this knuckle-curve from Dylan Cease caught just enough of the plate to freeze Dodgers’ utilityman Kiké Hernández.

Jhoan Duran’s Curveball

It wasn’t a save situation, but the Twins called upon Jhoan Duran to close out Wednesday’s win in New York. He’d allow a run but still managed to finish the Mets off and dropped this nasty curve to Tyrone Taylor to end the game.

Raisel Iglesias‘ Slider

Raisel Iglesias closed out the victory on Wednesday to clinch the series against the NL Central-leading Brewers. Iglesias punched out two and got rookie Jackson Chourio to chase a slider way out of the zone.

Lucas Erceg’s Four-Seam Fastball

Lucas Erceg made his first appearance for the Royals on Wednesday after moving over from Oakland at the deadline. Erceg recorded a scoreless inning while striking out two and froze Miguel Vargas with 100 on the corner.
