Welcome to Waiver Wire Picks, our daily fantasy baseball article that highlights the best players in baseball that you should be adding to your rosters. We’ll look at those who are likely to be available in most leagues, as well as some deep league waiver wire options, and we’ll also look at the most added players in fantasy baseball across the major sites, and let you know who to add and which players you can leave on the wire.
Top Priority Players to Add
Jasson Domínguez (NYY), OF (20% Rostered on Yahoo)
With Giancarlo Stanton nursing a sore calf, the Yankees recalled Jasson Domínguez on Monday. He certainly earned the promotion, slashing .326/.415/.478 with three homers and eight steals in Triple-A. He is clearly too good for the minors at this point, and his snub from the major league roster came as a surprise to many after he hit .257 with 10 homers and 23 steals in 123 games last year at the major league level.
While there’s no guarantee he’ll stay up with the club long term, it’s worth adding him in case he gets off to a hot start that warrants keeping him in the lineup, or if Stanton isn’t able to recover and ends up going on the injured list. The 23-year-old switch-hitter has been hitting the ball harder so far this season and offers a power-speed combo that is intriguing for fantasy purposes.
Travis Bazzana (CLE), 2B (20% Rostered on Yahoo)
Travis Bazzana, the number one overall pick in the 2024 MLB draft, is getting the call by the Guardians. While he hasn’t shown elite power in Triple-A this season with only two home runs, his .287/.422/.511 slash line and eight steals is still a fantasy-friendly profile. He’s walked 21 times compared to 25 strikeouts, making him especially valuable in points and OBP leagues. While I don’t think the upside is there to turn into a fantasy superstar from the get-go, he is still worth adding at the weakest position.
Noah Schultz (CHW), SP (43% Rostered on Yahoo)
Noah Schultz is still rostered in less than half of Yahoo leagues, despite looking better with each additional start he makes. In his most recent outing, the rookie struck out eight batters over six two-run innings against the Nationals. The 6’10 lefty had hitters looking completely fooled at the plate with some embarrassing swings, and he should be universally owned at this point due to his ace upside.
Isaac Paredes (HOU), 3B (45% Rostered on Yahoo)
Isaac Paredes finally broke out of his early-season slump in the past week, batting .348 with the first three homers of his season. This is someone who hit 20 home runs in 102 games last year for the Astros and is now a staple in the center of their lineup. Not only that, but he’s made three appearances at second base so far this season. Especially in leagues with a 5-game eligibility requirement, he’s close to becoming a must-start option at the weakest position in fantasy.
Spencer Arrighetti (HOU), SP (37% Rostered on Yahoo)
Spencer Arrighetti’s 2025 season was a lost cause due to a fractured thumb in April, but you may have forgotten that he was a very popular breakout candidate due to a great finish in the 2024 season. From August 1st until the end of the season, he posted a 2.72 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with an elite 31% strikeout rate. At least so far in 2026, that version of the 26-year-old appears to be back, with a 2.00 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 21 strikeouts through 18 innings. There’s no guarantee it will last, but it’s worth adding him in leagues of all sizes, just in case this is the breakout we were all waiting for a year ago.
Yahoo and ESPN Most Added Players

Dustin May leads the most added list on Yahoo, as he was a popular streaming option both for Monday and in weekly leagues as a two-start pitcher. He delivered six solid innings, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. It looks like he’s settled down after his first two rough starts of the season, making him worth holding onto for now. We’ve already discussed Bazzana, which brings us down to Jack Kochanowicz, another Monday streamer. He delivered a quality start, allowing two runs over six innings, and has also been on a solid run as of late. I don’t like him as much as May, but he’s a fine streaming option moving forward.
Chase Dollander has been enjoying a big breakout thus far, posting a 2.25 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 39 strikeouts in 32 innings. I’m buying this breakout, at least away from Coors Field. Ildemaro Vargas has also been hot, batting .367 with six homers on the year. He’s worth adding as a hot-hand streamer, but don’t expect this type of production to continue all season.

There’s unfortunately not much to talk about regarding the ESPN most-added list, as we’ve already discussed Bazzana, Vargas, and Kochanowicz above. The remaining two, Tolle and Varland, are the next two players discussed in the two sections below. In short, Tolle is worth adding in all leagues, as he has legitimate ace upside, and Varland is a must-add wherever you need saves.
Streaming Pitchers
Be sure to check out Nick Pollack’s SP Streamer Rankings to figure out who you need to start, stream, or sit each day this season. There is one name that I particularly like for today.
Payton Tolle (BOS), SP (48% Rostered on Yahoo)
Payton Tolle is my favorite streamer for today, but in reality, his value goes far beyond the term “streamer”. He is a must-roster in all leagues, and would have been featured in the Top Priority section of this article if he didn’t happen to be pitching today. He looked incredible in his first major league start of the season against the Yankees, striking out 11 over six innings of one-run ball. The top prospect has the chance to be a front-line starter and could be a difference maker in fantasy.
Category Specific Players to Add
Louis Varland (TOR), RP (49% Rostered on Yahoo)
The Blue Jays have moved away from Jeff Hoffman as their closer, and it looks like Louis Varland is taking the job and running with it. He’s recorded a save in each of his last three appearances, and has a sparkling 0.60 ERA and 1.07 WHIP on the season. In leagues where saves are tough to come by, he is a must-add.
Tanner Scott (LAD), RP (46% Rostered on Yahoo)
With Edwin Díaz undergoing elbow surgery, that leaves Tanner Scott as the next man up in the Dodgers’ bullpen. He will likely share opportunities with Alex Vesia, who is also worth an add if you need saves, but I believe that Scott will end up seeing the majority of the chances overall. He has saved 77 games since 2022, which is a more trusted pedigree than Vesia.
