Welcome to Waiver Wire Picks, our daily fantasy baseball article that highlights the best players in baseball that you should be adding to your rosters. We’ll look at those who are likely to be available in most leagues, as well as some deep league waiver wire options, and we’ll also look at the most added players in fantasy baseball across the major sites, and let you know who to add and which players you can leave on the wire.
Top Priority Players to Add
Travis Bazzana (CLE), 2B (40% Rostered on Yahoo)
The frequency of prospect promotions has been happening at an unprecedented rate as of late, and I decided now would be a perfect time to highlight all of them, as it’s very likely at least one is still hanging around on your waiver wire. Travis Bazzana has been the most impressive of them all so far, slashing .211/.423/.316 with one homer, seven runs, six RBI, and seven steals through 12 games. While the batting average and slugging percentage are far from good, he’s impressed with his speed and an excellent 23.1% walk rate so far, compared to a 13.5% strikeout rate.
The biggest takeaway for his fantasy value is just how willing he is to run, as his seven steals are already over halfway to the 12 he stole in 84 games last season. When you combine his major league total with his 2026 minor league production, the rookie is already up to 15 steals in 36 games. While it’s unlikely he keeps up that crazy pace, this gives the 23-year-old a very high floor for fantasy, as his speed and on-base skills will shine through even when his bat is lagging behind. Once he starts to hit, watch out, as he could become a must-start second baseman before you know it, and he’s already on the verge of cracking the top-12 rest of season.
Henry Bolte (ATH), OF (10% Rostered on Yahoo)
After Henry Bolte dealt with issues that sapped his power last season, he came back at full force in 2026, slashing .348/.418/.658 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases in 37 Triple-A games this season. The combination of power and speed gives him extremely high upside, and the Athletics are calling him up today. There will be strikeout concerns at the major league level, and his playing time situation has questions, but his high ceiling is worth taking a chance on.
A.J. Ewing (NYM), 2B/OF (6% Rostered on Yahoo)
A.J. Ewing will be joining Bolte in the May 12th promotion club, as the Mets are set to call him up. He has a lower ceiling and higher floor than Bolte, and more importantly, his playing time should be more secure for the time being. While primarily an outfielder, he’s also played a good amount of second base in his minor league career and will start with double-eligibility in Yahoo leagues. The name of his game is speed, as he stole 70 bases in the minors last year, so definitely pick him up if you’re hurting in that category.
Robby Snelling (MIA), SP (27% Rostered on Yahoo)
Robby Snelling made his major league debut on Friday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings with two strikeouts. While it wasn’t the best debut, don’t give up on him after one start. He posted a 1.86 ERA with a 40% strikeout rate in Triple-A this season, after all.
Ryan Waldschmidt (ARI), OF (17% Rostered on Yahoo)
Ryan Waldschmidt made his debut on May 8th, after slashing .289/.400/.477 three homers and six steals in the minors. In 2025, he launched 18 homers and stole 29 bases in 134 games with a great 16% walk rate, giving him a nice all-around profile that could work in points and roto leagues.
Bryce Eldridge (SF), 1B (12% Rostered on Yahoo)
If you’re in the market for a prospect and need power, Bryce Eldridge is your guy. He hit 25 bombs in the minors in 2025, posting elite exit velocities that make it clear he has special raw power. However, he’ll struggle with strikeouts and seems to have issues getting playing time so far, which makes it puzzling why they called him up in the first place. Still, if the Giants come to their senses and actually give him consistent at-bats, the upside is too high to leave on the waiver wire.
Spencer Jones (NYY), SP (29% Rostered on Yahoo)
Spencer Jones also has extremely high upside, although he’s definitely the lowest priority of the bunch for me. He hit 35 homers and stole 29 bases in 116 minor league games in 2025, but struck out 35.4% of the time. That type of volatility could crash and burn in the majors, but like many others mentioned above, the upside is worth taking a chance on.
Yahoo and ESPN Most Added Players

The most added list on Yahoo features Henry Bolte and four Monday streamers. Lambert tossed a quality start, allowing three runs in seven innings with strikeouts, and remains a viable streaming option moving forward. Trevor McDonald allowed three runs on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings, which could have been worse against the Dodgers. McDonald has been fairly successful so far in his major league career, and definitely has some waiver wire appeal in deep leagues. Ryan Weathers pitched great, striking out nine over 6 1/3 innings, although his roster rate is above what we’d consider a “waiver wire” option. Joey Cantillo had his second solid start in a row, throwing six shutout innings against the Angels. He has enough upside to be worth rostering in most leagues, as he’s only given up more than three earned runs in a start once this season.

The ESPN most-added list features repeats of Weathers, Lambert, and McDonald, along with McClanahan, who is 86% rostered in Yahoo leagues. That leaves Brandon Marsh as the only true waiver wire option here, and he’s impressed so far with a .353 batting average, four home runs, and three steals this season. He’s been especially hot as of late, batting .476 in the past 14 days. There may be something here, as Marsh also hit .302 in 55 games in the second half of 2025, so the sample size is growing pretty large at this point. I wouldn’t say he is a must-add everywhere, but he shouldn’t be available in any five-outfielder leagues, at the very least.
Streaming Pitchers
Be sure to check out Nick Pollack’s SP Streamer Rankings to figure out who you need to start, stream, or sit each day this season. There is one name that I particularly like for today.
Jack Flaherty (DET), SP (57% Rostered on Yahoo)
I’ll be honest, the waiver-wire streaming options for today are rough. Jack Flaherty leads the group for me, as he faces the struggling Mets and is coming off a 10-strikeout game against the Red Sox. However, the veteran has an unsightly 5.56 ERA and 1.65 WHIP on the season, and the days of him being a must-start or even a must-roster player are long gone. If you’re desperate, you can take a chance on him staying hot, but don’t bank on long-term success.
