Bobby Witt Jr. hit his 30th home run of the season the other day, making him the first Kansas City Royals player to join the 30+ homer and 30+ stolen base club. Veteran catcher Salvador Perez told Anne Rogers, the Royals’ reporter MLB.com writer, that he’s never seen anybody like Witt Jr.: ‘Thirteen years in Kansas City. No one like him. And I was around good players. [Eric] Hosmer. [Mike] Moustakas. Alcides Escobar. But to do what Bobby does — hit, throw, steal bases, the way he plays. Seriously. He is the best I have ever seen here…I can tell my kids in 20 years that I played with Bobby Witt Jr.‘
