San Diego Padres‘ slugger Manny Machado hit his 300th career home run in game one of the team’s doubleheader on Saturday. It was a no-doubter that left Machado’s bat at 108.5 mph and sailed 425 ft. With that home run, Machado became the 11th active player with 300 or more home runs.
Cody Bellinger’s second half is off to a hot start.
A grand slam for Cody Bellinger!

Cody Bellinger picked up right where he left off: blazing hot. He homered twice off Red Sox’s starter Brayan Bello on Friday and followed it up with another home run on Saturday, this time a grand slam off James Paxton. With the way he’s playing, Bellinger is likely to opt out of his contract at the end of the season and become a free agent. This makes him a prime trade candidate for contending teams looking to add some thump to their lineup.

The Tampa Bay Rays swept their doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday, becoming the first American League team to reach 60 wins this season. Tyler Glasnow pitched a quality start in game one, striking out seven over six innings. Jose Siri provided the offense behind Glasnow, hitting two solo home runs. Randy Arozarena collected three hits in the second game, but it was Luke Raley’s go-ahead RBI single in the eighth that won game two for the Rays.

Luis Arraez had another four-hit game on Saturday which bumped his batting average up to .386. I’ve run out of words to describe how incredible he is.
Luis Arraez four-hit games this season: 6
That's the most in a single season in #Marlins history.
Hanley Ramirez had 5 in 2007.
It's *checks date* July 15.
