Taj Bradley’s Cutter

A big pitch from young Taj Bradley here to strikeout DJ LeMahieu after an 11-pitch battle at the plate. After peppering him high late in the battle, Bradley unleashed this ripping 92 mph cut-fastball that could easily be labelled a hard slider. One thing I do know is that it is a pitch I want to see again and again!

Luis Severino’s Four-Seam Fastball

Deep into the sixth inning with his pitch count rising, Luis Severino rolls back the years with a devastating 99 mph high heater to send Jesus Sanchez packing. This could have been Sevy’s hardest-thrown pitch of the season, and it could also have been his best. Elite from the veteran!

Edwin Diaz’s Slider

When executed like this, Edwin Diaz’s hard slider is simply unhittable. 91 mph at the bottom of the zone with a venomous late dive, Vidal Bruján had no chance. N-a-s-t-y pitch!

Aroldis Chapman’s Sinker

103 mph from Aroldis Chapman to silence the haters! Wow! This moment belongs to The Cuban Missile!

Dylan Cease’s Slider

This is the perfect pitch to José Ramírez! Dylan Cease with a perfectly enticing, sharp, and nasty slider inside that gets the elite hitter in all kinds of trouble. Vicious!

Grayson Rodriguez’s Four-Seam Fastball

Baltimore Orioles starter Grayson Rodriguez loved throwing his high heater today and it served him well. Rodriguez was masterful as he sent down 12 straight and this filthy 97 mph four-seamer was a gem to get Marcus Semien. It is how he rolled most of the outing.

Brady Singer’s Sinker

Brady Singer struck out seven on his way to his sixth win of the season. Singer has been unlucky of late turning out a number of excellent performances without seeing any stats reward. He was bouncing back after a tough last outing and his two-seam fastball did much of the work for him. 94 mph paint to ring up Paul DeJong.

Zac Gallen’s Changeup

A lovely outing from Zac Gallen today, who effortlessly made his way through the Cubs with his fastball, changeup, and knuckle curve. Here is the changeup, a beauty of one. 88 mph with nasty movement to strike out Christopher Morel.
