The Fantasy Baseball Stream Team: Week 10

The White Sox and Rangers takeover the Stream Team in Week 10

Welcome to Week 10. If you look at your fantasy roster right now and feel a sudden wave of panic, you are definitely not alone.

We’ve officially hit that gruelling stretch in the fantasy baseball calendar where the war of attrition takes center stage. Just when you think you’ve stabilized your lineup, the injury bug bites down hard. Losing upside-down arms like Eury Pérez to a multi-month leg strain is a brutal blow to any rotation. Watching top-tier anchors like Corey Seager battling lingering back issues leaves a massive void in your infield, and Saturday, Maikel Garcia’s sudden hamstring injury added another name to an already crowded IL.

The Stream Team is locking in to help you navigate the chaos and salvage your week. Whether you are desperate for a spot-start pitcher to protect your ratios or looking for a hot bat to fill an injury-induced vacancy, we have you covered.

As always, to qualify for the Stream Team, we are looking for available, impactful contributors.

The Criteria

  • Availability: Every featured player is rostered in fewer than 45% of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
  • The Goal: Identifying high-upside plays for managers who need to replace struggling starters and injured players at specific positions.

The Stream Team

SP – Christian Scott, New York MetsChristian Scott has completely turned a corner, flashing the elite pedigree that made him one of the game’s top pitching prospects before his elbow procedure. Over his last two turns, Scott absolutely dismantled the Marlins, surrendering just a single earned run across 10.2 innings while racking up 13 punchouts. He earned his first official MLB win of the season on May 30th, winning an eight-strikeout gem. If there is one flaw to watch out for, it is his efficiency; Scott tends to build high pitch counts early, which has occasionally truncated his outing before he can secure that elusive quality start. However, the raw stuff is undeniable right now.

Beam Me Up, Scotty!

RP – Dylan Lee, Atlanta – If your fantasy league is searching for holds or saves, Dylan Lee needs to be rostered immediately. While high-profile closers soak up the mainstream headlines, Lee has quietly evolved into one of the most lethal high-leverage weapons in the National League. Through late May, Lee has posted an elite 1.30 ERA and a WHIP hovering around 0.61. Atlanta is leaning heavily on the southpaw in critical, tight-game situations. He has an impresive 32.3% strikeout rate that is supported by a 3.2% walk rate, that’s an elite 11.33 K/BB ratio. He doesn’t just protect leads; his massive swing-and-miss stuff is just the cherry on top for a reliever that will provide you with consistent saves and holds.

He is currently rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues and 2% of ESPN leagues.

C – Gabriel Moreno, Arizona DiamondbacksReliable production behind the dish is always a streaming nightmare in fantasy baseball. Still, Moreno is making as serious a case for a spot on your Stream Team in Week 10. Known primarily for his elite defensive skills and Gold Glove-calibre arm, the Diamondbacks backstop has caught fire in the batter’s box, making him a premium streaming asset if you’re looking to replace a zero at the catcher position or cover for a recent injury. Moreno is batting a clean .274 AVG with a low 11.2% strikeout rate. He is consistently setting the table and driving up his value in points leagues, and that shows with a .345 OBP. The most exciting metric for Moreno is his .338 xwOBA, which indicates stability in this offensive surge.

He is currently rostered in 36% of Yahoo leagues and 31% in ESPN leagues.

1B – Curtis Mead, Washington NationalsIf you’re scrambling to replace infield production from injured players, Curtis Mead is the guy to roster right now. After being designated for assignment by the White Sox and traded to the Washington Nationals at the tail-end of March, the former top prospect has finally unlocked that elite bat that made him a minor-league sensation. Over his last 15 games, he is hitting an excellent .304 with an OBP well north of .400. He has already hit eight home runs through 128 at-bats this season. Beyond the surface stats, his dual eligibility at both 1B, 3B, and even 2B in some leagues gives you ultimate lineup flexibility.

He is currently rostered in 19% of Yahoo leagues and 7% of ESPN leagues.

2B – Chase Meidroth, Chicago White SoxChase Meidroth is a phenomenal, high-floor target who is quietly putting together a rock-solid campaign. Meidroth has locked in every day playing time at second base for the Sox and is coming off a massive performance this past week, highlighted by crushing a grand slam against the Twins on May 27th. He has excellent bat-to-ball skills and coordinates an approach that completely siphons high-strikeout pitching. His elite walk rate allows him to get on base consistently, and when matching up against left-handed pitching, he turns into an absolute cheat code. If you play in a points league or OBP-focused categories, he is a for-sure stream option.

He is currently rostered in 28% of Yahoo leagues and 10% of ESPN leagues.

3B –  Josh Jung, Texas Rangers – Josh Jung is the ultimate high-stakes stash available on many waiver wires right now. The Rangers’ powerhouse third basemen have had a frustrating, injury-plagued road over the last year. Before getting sidelined, Jung was cementing himself as one of the premier power-hitting corner infielders in the American League. He possesses 30-home run upside and hits in the heart of a potent Texas lineup that offers elite run and RBI environment numbers. He has an exceptional Sweet Spot % of 36.5% and an intriguing Hard-Hit rate of 44.2%.

He is currently rostered in 43% of Yahoo leagues and 36% of ESPN leagues.

SS – Jacob Gonzalez, Chicago White SoxIf you’re looking to catch lightning in a bottle to patch up the devastating loss of Munetaka Murakami, the first-round draft pick, Jacob Gonzalez is promoted to create an immediate high-upside opportunity for fantasy managers. He is currently slashing .317/.419/.668 with 19 home runs and 62 RBI in Triple-A. In just May, he’s slashed .344/.438/.771. After modifying his swing mechanics to stand taller and lower his hands, he has seen the following results. The sample size in the majors is obviously nonexistent, but at this point in the season, chasing that high ceiling production may be the turning point for your roster.

He is currently rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues and 2% of ESPN leagues.

OF – Ezequiel Duran, Texas RangersWhen a premier superstar like Corey Seager goes down, the Texas Rangers don’t panic; they deploy Ezequiel Duran. He is the ultimate Swiss Army Knife, destined to salvage your Week 10. Stepping into everyday playing time for the Rangers lineup, Duran brings an unparalleled level of utility to your roster, holding eligibility at 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, and OF in most formats. He boasts a Hard Hit rate higher than his teammate Josh Jung’s at 45.8%. The most appealing aspect of Duran’s metrics would be his .462 xSLG, which shows his extra-base power and gap-to-gap profile.

OF – Jake McCarthy, Colorado RockiesWhen an elite speed asset gets his bat going in a place like Coors Field, fantasy managers need to sprint to the waiver wire. Jake McCarthy has quietly become a spark plug for the Rockies’ offense. He has a highly reliable .279 AVG with a .342 BABIP, which is elevated by his elite speed to beat out ground balls. He also supports a high contact rate of 87.2%, showing masterful bat-to-ball skills. Keep close attention to the Rockies and where they may be playing because anytime McCarthy is in Coors Field, be ready for phenomenal production at the plate and on the base paths.

He is currently rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues and 1% of ESPN leagues.
