Gavin Williams‘ Curveball
Williams had a solid night against the Royals last night, striking out six and allowing just two runs. This curveball to Adam Frazier fell just below the strike zone. Nice work by Bo Naylor grabbing this one before it hit the dirt.
Justin Steele’s Slider
This was a nasty slider from Steele to punch out Connor Joe. Chicago was up big in this one, giving Steele some comfort with a seven-run lead. The lefty finished with six strikeouts in this one.
Logan Webb’s Sweeper
Webb had been one of the hottest pitchers in the league coming into this one, but he hit a roadblock against the Brew Crew here. Webb allowed four runs, but he did strike out four batters, including this nasty sweeper to Blake Perkins.
Spencer Schwellenbach’s Fastball
Who needs Spencer Strider when you have Spencer Schwellenbach? This rising fastball was one of his best of the night. He finished with a solid eight punch outs on the day.
Tobias Myers‘ Slider
Myers’ slider was working last night. This one crosses the entire plate and is about as unhittable as it gets. The righty finished with four strikeouts on the night.
Mason Miller’s Fastball
101 mph on the corner of the strike zone. That is what you get with Mason Miller on the bump. He successfully closed out this game against the Reds.
Joe Jiménez’s Slider
Jimenez looked nasty out there for his lone inning. He struck out two, both on his slider. This one to Carlos Santana was his best of the night.
Logan Gilbert’s Curveball
Gilbert had a phenomenal start against the Rays, striking out ten and allowing zero runs. The Rays’ offense looks bad right now, and Gilbert made sure to take advantage.
Tyler Rogers‘ Slider
This one definitely counts as nasty, even if the swing wasn’t too great. If Chourio didn’t swing he probably could have taken a free base on this one.
