Reese Olson’s Changeup

Reese Olson put in an ace performance for the Tigers in a big spot against the Orioles. Olson worked his magic against one of the best lineups in baseball and delivered with his nasty arsenal. This 88 mph changeup to punch out Cedric Mullins was pure class.

Kyle Hendricks‘ Changeup

The wily veteran rolled back the years once again for the Cubs – Kyle Hendricks giving the fans this signature changeup to shout about before running into trouble in the sixth inning. It’s been a tough season for Hendricks with his days as a big leaguer numbered. However, let’s enjoy him while we can!

MacKenzie Gore’s Curveball

The development of MacKenzie Gore over the season has been a bright spot for the Nationals and the lefty was at his best today in a 5-1 win over the Cubs. Gore mixed in his pith arsenal to perfection – this delightful 83 mph curveball was far too good for Dansby Swanson.

Sean Manaea’s Sweeper

The lefty has been a revelation for the Mets after coming over from the Padres. A professional approach and improved command have seen Sean Manaea become effective as a starter once again. This vicious 80 mph sweeper was just perfectly located to strike out Bryce Harper.

Max Fried’s Changeup

Atlanta lefty Max Fried worked his magic with a heavy mix of changeups and curveballs to dominate the Marlins. This 87 mph changeup to Nick Fortes highlights how well he worked the outside of the zone to righties in a masterclass.

Taj Bradley’s Cutter

The Rays young gun Taj Bradley is one of the most enigmatic pitchers to watch in baseball and this start was no different. A beautiful display of pitch-mix brilliance, Bradley worked through the Blue Jays with aplomb. This 92 mph cutter to fell George Springer was a particular highlight.

Emerson Hancock’s Slider

Young Mariners starter Emerson Hancock improved to 4-4 on the back of another confident start that showcased his improvements as a starter. This brilliant 82 mph slider to fell Marcus Semien was n-a-s-t-y!

Landen Roupp’s Changeup

This was my first real look at Landen Roupp and I was thoroughly impressed with what I saw. Just look at the movement on this phenomenal 89 mph changeup to Michael Massey.
