The Stash List Week 21: Top 10 Hitting Prospects to Stash in 2026

Top Hitting Prospects to Stash in Redraft Leagues

The regular season is winding down, which means now is the time for dynasty managers to identify the prospects who could make an impact this season. This week’s Stash List focuses on players who are either knocking on the door of the major leagues or putting together strong enough seasons to earn a potential call-up.

With the fantasy playoffs approaching, finding the right prospect at the right time could make a major difference. Whether they get the call in the coming weeks or provide a spark for your lineup down the stretch, these players could help give your dynasty team the extra boost it needs to make a run at a 2026 championship.

Ground Rules

  • The Stash List is for your redraft leagues and does not consider impact beyond 2026.
  • Only current minor league players who are expected to make an impact this season are included.
  • Upside, proximity, health, and opportunity are all weighed for each player.
  • The focus is on 12-team leagues with standard categories.
  • Rankings will be updated weekly.
  • Stats will be updated weekly for all players through Saturday’s games.

Top 10 Hitting Prospects to Stash

  1. Lázaro Montes OF- Seattle Mariners
2016 MiLB Numbers

Lázaro Montes should be one of the top-hitting stashes for dynasty managers looking toward the final stretch of the season. Since receiving the call-up to Triple-A, Montes has hit .298/.377/.612 with a .989 OPS and nine home runs, continuing to show the massive power that has made him one of the Mariners’ most exciting prospects. He has now reached 34 home runs on the season, and his power has continued to translate as he has moved up the minor league ladder. Montes has already shown he can change a game with one swing, and his recent production suggests he may be getting closer to being ready for the major leagues.

The timing could also be perfect for Seattle. The Mariners are just 3.5 games out of a Wild Card spot, and adding a massive power bat like Montes to the middle of the lineup could provide the offensive spark they need down the stretch. While there is no guarantee Seattle makes the move this season, dynasty managers should be prepared for the possibility and should absolutely have Montes stashed if he is still available. Even if his MLB debut comes in 2027, the upside is significant enough to make him one of the most important hitting prospects to roster for the remainder of the year.

2. Seaver King– 2B/SS- Washington Nationals

2016 MiLB Numbers

Seaver King has really turned things around with the bat this season and has put himself firmly on the dynasty radar. He is hitting .311/.393/.510 with a .903 OPS and a career-high 12 home runs, showing much more offensive consistency as he has moved through the Nationals’ system. King has also demonstrated the versatility to play multiple spots in the infield, which could be important for his path to the majors.

With the Nationals moving CJ Abrams to second base, King could provide an offensive upgrade over Nasim Núñez or Jorbit Vivas if Washington decides to make a change in the infield. While King’s 11 stolen bases this season aren’t eye-popping, he has enough athleticism to add another dimension to his fantasy game as he continues to develop. With his improved bat, positional versatility, and potential opportunity in Washington, King is becoming an increasingly interesting dynasty stash for the stretch run and beyond.

3. Ralphy Velazquez1B/ OF- Cleveland Guardians

2016 MiLB Numbers

Ralphy Velazquez, the Guardians’ first-round pick in 2023, has put together a strong season and is becoming an increasingly intriguing dynasty stash. On the season, Velazquez is hitting .283/.371/.522 with a .893 OPS and 21 home runs between Double-A and Triple-A. He has taken his game to another level in August, hitting .341/.400/.927 with a ridiculous 1.327 OPS and eight home runs. The power has been especially encouraging as he continues to face more advanced pitching, and his recent production suggests he could be getting close to forcing Cleveland’s hand.

The underlying numbers make the breakout even more exciting. Velazquez has shown excellent barrel control with a hard-hit rate over 37%, while his 10.5% walk rate and 20.4% strikeout rate show a mature approach for a 21-year-old playing at the upper levels. Cleveland is also just 1.5 games out of a Wild Card spot, giving the organization plenty of incentive to consider whether his bat could provide a spark down the stretch. With the Guardians needing offense and Velazquez absolutely tearing the cover off the ball in August, dynasty managers should have him stashed now rather than waiting for a potential call-up.

4. Charlie Condon– 1B/ OF- Colorado Rockies

2016 MiLB Numbers

Charlie Condon has made significant strides this season and is starting to look like the type of impact bat dynasty managers hoped for when the Rockies selected him third overall in the 2024 MLB Draft. Condon is hitting .273/.390/.529 with a .919 OPS and 22 home runs on the season, while his underlying metrics make the performance even more encouraging. He has posted a 43.7% hard-hit rate, with an average exit velocity of 90.1 mph and a max exit velocity of over 112 mph. That combination of consistent hard contact and elite top-end power should fit extremely well in Colorado, where Condon has the potential to become a major run producer.

With the Rockies out of contention, there isn’t much reason for the organization to keep Condon in the minors if they believe he is ready for the challenge. Service time is also less of a concern at this point, making a late-season call-up a realistic possibility. For dynasty managers, Condon should be stashed in all fantasy formats if he is still available. His above-average exit velocities, ability to drive the ball, and raw power give him plenty of upside, and if he adjusts quickly to major league pitching, Condon could get hot quickly and provide an immediate fantasy boost down the stretch.

5. Walker Jenkins, OF- Minnesota Twins

2016 MiLB Numbers

Walker Jenkins remains one of the most important dynasty prospects to stash, even with some uncertainty surrounding his potential major league opportunity down the stretch. With Byron Buxton returning from the injured list this past week, there may not be enough consistent playing time available for Jenkins to make an immediate impact in Minnesota. Still, after spending the full season at Triple-A, the former top prospect belongs on this list. Jenkins has never wavered from his reputation as one of the best prospects in baseball since being drafted, and his bat-to-ball skills have never been a concern at any level. A career .299 hitter in the minors, Jenkins is currently hitting .309, continuing to show the ability to consistently make quality contact against advanced pitching.

If Jenkins does receive the call-up, dynasty managers shouldn’t expect him to immediately provide the same type of power as some of the other prospects on this list. He has just nine home runs this season, although injuries have played a role in limiting his overall production. What Jenkins can provide is consistent contact, strong plate discipline, and plenty of hard-hit balls. His 12.1% walk rate shows a mature approach at the plate, while his 42.0% hard-hit rate demonstrates that he is still capable of consistently driving the baseball. Jenkins’ gap-to-gap approach could translate into plenty of doubles and extra-base hits at the major league level, making him a valuable dynasty stash even if the home run upside isn’t quite as high as some of the other names on this list.

6. Josue Briceño, C/1B- Detroit Tigers

2016 MiLB Numbers

Josue Briceño could be one of the sneakier dynasty stashes to keep an eye on down the stretch. The 21-year-old catcher/first baseman is returning from injury and has shown plenty of impact with the bat when healthy. In just 31 games this season, Briceño is hitting .271/.365/.561 with a .926 OPS, showcasing the loud hit tool and power that have made him one of the more intriguing bats in the Tigers’ system. While the strikeout rate can be a little concerning at times, Briceño has an advanced enough hit tool to make up for some of those swings-and-misses, and his ability to drive the ball gap-to-gap gives him plenty of offensive upside.

The Tigers have plenty of reason to keep the good times rolling with their young core already making an impact at the major league level. With Kevin McGonigle making a strong case for AL Rookie of the Year and Max Clark recently joining the big league club, Briceño could be the next young bat to get an opportunity. He’ll need to get back up to speed in Triple-A after returning from injury, but if he starts heating up, dynasty managers should pay close attention. His combination of power, an advanced hit tool, and the potential for extra-base production makes Briceño an intriguing stash who could become a valuable fantasy contributor if the Tigers decide to give him a look down the stretch.

7. Ethan Salas, C- San Diego Padres

2016 MiLB Numbers

Ethan Salas is putting together a true breakout season and has finally seen the offensive production catch up to the defensive skills that have made him one of the top catching prospects in baseball. Salas is hitting .298/.373/.450 with a .823 OPS and nine home runs on the season, but his performance at Triple-A has been even more impressive. He has absolutely crushed the level since his promotion, hitting .356 while continuing to show the advanced approach that has always been a major part of his offensive profile. Salas has also maintained a strong walk rate throughout his career and currently sits at an impressive 11.4% BB% this season.

The Padres have shown a willingness to be aggressive with their prospects, which could give Salas a chance to make his major league debut sooner than expected if he continues to dominate Triple-A pitching. His combination of defensive ability, improving power, strong plate discipline, and a little bit of speed gives him an intriguing fantasy ceiling at a position where offensive production can be difficult to find. Dynasty managers should stash Salas if he is still available, especially if San Diego decides to give their young catcher an opportunity down the stretch.

8. Owen Ayers, C/1B- Chicago Cubs

2016 MiLB Numbers

Owen Ayers, a 19th-round pick by the Cubs in the 2024 MLB Draft, has started to grab the attention of dynasty managers after putting together an impressive season across three levels. Ayers is currently hitting .307/.421/.580 with a 1.001 OPS and 23 home runs, showing that there is plenty of pop in his bat despite being a later-round selection. His approach has been one of the biggest reasons for his breakout, as he has consistently gotten on base and currently owns a BB% above 15%. Ayers has now reached Triple-A and is hitting .278 while adjusting to the more advanced pitching, but the overall production throughout the season has been extremely encouraging.

The biggest concern for Ayers is his 24.0% strikeout rate, which has been a consistent part of his offensive profile and will be something to monitor as he faces increasingly difficult pitching. Still, his ability to draw walks and generate power gives him an intriguing offensive foundation. The Cubs may not have an immediate need to bring Ayers to the majors, but considering he has handled every level of the minor leagues so far, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him continue climbing prospect rankings. For dynasty managers looking for a deeper stash, Ayers is an interesting name to monitor as he continues to prove that his bat can play against advanced competition.

9. Leo De Vries, SS- Athletics

2016 MiLB Numbers

As mentioned in last week’s Stash List, Leo De Vries could be an intriguing call-up candidate for the Athletics as the season winds down. Double-A has not provided much of a challenge for the top prospect, as De Vries is hitting .290 with more than 30 stolen bases while continuing to show why he is considered one of the best young players in baseball. With the Athletics out of the playoff picture, the organization could benefit from giving their prized prospect a taste of major league pitching and allowing him to get valuable experience heading into next season.

We have already seen prospects make the jump from Double-A to the majors this season, with Kevin McGonigle serving as a recent example. If Oakland decides to take the same approach with De Vries, dynasty managers should be ready to act. His combination of hitting ability, speed, and overall offensive upside makes him a must-stash in dynasty formats, and if he adjusts quickly to big league pitching, De Vries could provide an immediate fantasy impact down the stretch.

10. Franklin Arias, SS- Boston Red Sox

2016 MiLB Numbers

An unlikely call-up at this stage of the season, considering he has spent just 16 games in Triple-A, but Franklin Arias is a name dynasty managers should keep an eye on. The Red Sox have been one of the best teams in baseball over the past few months, and Arias has been nothing short of dominant this season. Across Double-A and Triple-A, he is hitting .316 with a .981 OPS and 23 home runs, showcasing both the hit tool and power that could eventually make him an impact major league bat.

What makes Arias even more intriguing is his plate discipline for his age and his ability to drive the ball to all fields. With Roman Anthony potentially beginning a rehab assignment this week, Boston could look to add another young impact bat to the lineup as they make their push toward the postseason. Arias may not be the most likely call-up candidate given his limited Triple-A experience, but if the Red Sox decide he is ready, dynasty managers should be prepared to move quickly. If Arias gets the call, he is a must-add in dynasty formats.
