SP Streamers for today's, tomorrow's and the day after tomorrow's games for fantasy baseball.
Every day of the 2025 baseball season, I'll be looking at today's and tomorrow's slate of scheduled starting pitchers and ranking their matchups for your fantasy baseball streams.
There's a lot that goes into this and you can hang out with me on Playback.tv/pitcherlist to talk about the specific ranks as I make them every weekday morning from 10am - 12pm ET. If you have questions about these ranks, please ask during the morning Playback AMA. Those are my office hours as I generally don't answer comments on the site.
There are four tiers to these rankings with 12-teamers in mind:
Auto-Start - Just do it. Don't overthink this, start the man. This includes "if I have them rostered, I'm starting them" pitchers.
Probably Start - I'm likely starting these arms, though I recognize there is more risk than we'd like there to be. Either it's a tough matchup for a good-not-elite pitcher or a weak lineup for a volatile arm. These pitchers have a 50% or greater chance of performing well in my view and I'm starting them in the majority of situations.
Questionable Start - Think of this tier as "I don't want to start these pitchers in a vacuum, but you could do worse." Streamers found in this tier are not pitchers I'm targeting and are only if you are in dire need of one. To play it safe with streaming, just start the Probably Start streamers.
Do Not Start - The reward is not worth the risk. Don't do it. Seriously, these pitchers have a very slim chance of success or sometimes none at all.
Obviously, there will be circumstances where pitchers should move between teams for your situation specifically and these new tiers should act as a little more help than the straight table from last year.
Please keep in mind that streaming is far from a perfect play. In fact, if they work out over half the time, I'd consider it a success. These matchup rankings & streamer picks are going to be wildly different than the actual results throughout the year, so please, have sympathy before the scathing comments and tweets. I'm only trying to help!
Make sure to read the notes if you're wondering why I'm favoring certain pitchers over others - I won't get to everyone and hopefully I answer what questions you will have.
There is a second table for tomorrow's starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.
And of course, there are my streaming picks of the day. Please keep in mind that I am forced to pick a streamer every day. Those highlighted in Green are that day's streaming pick in the second tier and I'd roll with them everywhere. Those in Yellow are in the third tier and should be okay if you're searching for something on a given day, but I don't recommend streaming unless you're in need. Finally, those are Red are those I really don't want to start (they are labeled as "Do Not Start", after all) but have no other choice. Don't stream these guys until you are truly desperate. A streaming pick is defined as "rostered in 20% or fewer leagues according to Fantasy Pros. This really emphasizes the point that I'd be happy if over 50% of these worked. I could do the whole sub 30/40% rostered, but there's no fun in that.
(Opener) - Outlines that a pitcher is being opened for that day & the pitcher listed will follow the opener.
As I do my rankings, I thought it would be helpful to showcase a table of how we're ranking offenses, granted by our PLV powered Projections (in alphabetical order by tier):
Remember, these offensive rankings are based on each offense's Process+ so far this year and how we project their lineups moving forward. It means you're going to see a little different offensive rankings than you may see elsewhere and there will always be some surprises. This is based on skills, not purely results!
To spice up these streaming recommendations, I've included our new daily fantasy baseball projections powered by PLV, and I'll be competing against PL Bot to pick the best streaming option each day.
These projections are different from your typical projections as they incorporate our pitch quantifier PLV, assessing pitcher and hitter skills at a much more granular level than your standard box score.

The streaming record is determined by "Was this a productive game for 12-teamers if I started them?" Roughly a "PQS" with a Win and a strikeout per inning with a sub 1.20 WHIP, with a minimum of 5 IP. Close calls are decided by Playback chat.
Note: If no pitcher under 20% rostered would have qualified for a "Streaming Win," no loss is granted.

Saturday 5/24 Starting Pitcher Streamer Rankings
Auto-Starts
Tarik Skubal vs. CLE - Aces gonna ace.
Robbie Ray @ WSN - This has all the makings of a stud outing.
Jesús Luzardo @ ATH - Luzardo has been on such a roll.
Dylan Cease @ ATL - Cease has been the sweet side of "Cherry Bomb".
Kris Bubic @ MIN - Bubic is having a breakout season, who are we to deny him?
Spencer Schwellenbach vs. SDP - "Mr. Crescendo" is still putting it together and yet he's still providing a solid floor.
Probably Starts
Bailey Ober vs. KCR - It's the Royals and yet I can't shake Ober's history against them for whatever reason.
Brandon Pfaadt @ STL - Pfaadt's last two haven't had the curveball against LHB and I imagine the Cardinals will bring it back.
Sonny Gray vs. ARI - Not a fun matchup, but Gray was Sonny with his sweeper last time out and he usually keeps that feel for multiple outings once it arrives.
Will Warren @ COL - I'm a little worried that Coors will mess with Warren's pitch movement a bit too much to lower the overall strike rate, but I'm still rolling him out there with 19 strikeouts in two starts.
Logan Henderson @ PIT - Henderson's four-seamer + changeup has excelled and the Pirates are the perfect slice of comfort.
Ryan Pepiot vs. TOR - Pepiot's overall command is still a challenge he's yet to overcome. I love the lack of disaster outings, though, as Pepiot's stuff keeps him afloat despite pitching under his potential.
Luis Castillo @ HOU - Castillo still worries me with his lack of slider and changeup whiffs and questionable heaters. Still, the RHB-heavy lineup should work in his favor.
Michael Soroka vs. SFG - Soroka's fastballs + breaker is a great combo with room to grow with his changeup. The Giants don't scare me enough to hold back with Soroka.
Chris Bassitt @ TBR - Bassitt isn't as consistent as he used to be and the park does him few favors.
Questionable Starts
Kodai Senga vs. LAD - Senga is in a good place, but hosting the Dodgers, unfortunately.
Nick Lodolo vs. CHC - It's the Cubs. Lodolo has the talent to overcome it, though.
Edward Cabrera @ LAA - Cabrera has moved toward sinkers over four-seamers and suddenly the walks have dissipated. I'm so curious if that can hold, especially if the Angels see plenty of sliders with their RHB-focus.
Ben Brown @ CIN - I wish it weren't in GABP, but the Reds lineup is just that meh.
Walker Buehler vs. BAL - Buehler will be well-rested and he's showcased the ability to go through six. Pitching in fenway does him few favors and the lack of whiffability makes me hesitant to put him in the lineup.
Do Not Starts
Bailey Falter vs. MIL - The Brewers aren't a strong crew. If Falter had any sort of secondary offering, he would crush this. Sadly, it's live-or-die by the four-seamer and the floor is too low.
Davis Martin vs. TEX - The new cutter may be better than I'm giving him credit here. The ceiling vs. floor balance isn't quite in his favor yet to chase before a little more track record.
Gunnar Hoglund vs. PHI - Hoglund has a solid heater + change + breaker combo that hasn't exploded yet. The Phillies aren't the ones to test this.
Patrick Corbin @ CHW - It's the White Sox and we all know it could still go poorly. Feel free to raise this higher if you're in a QS league.
Dean Kremer @ BOS - He's the 15-teamer "HISPTER" at best. Dean "Werewolf".
Logan Allen @ DET - It's the Tigers and I buy the successful starts we've seen from Allen.
Kyle Hendricks vs. MIA - The Marlins are better against RHB than LHB. Sorry Hendricks.
Landon Knack @ NYM - How long will he go?
Colton Gordon vs. SEA - Two First Names. And a lack of polish for the rookie.
Antonio Senzatela vs. NYY - Oh no. No no no no.
Sunday 5/25 Starting Pitcher Streamer Rankings
Auto-Starts
Jacob deGrom vs. TOR - Aces gonna ace.
Garrett Crochet @ MIL - Aces gonna ace.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto @ CLE - Aces gonna ace.
Joe Ryan @ TBR - Aces gonna ace.
Clay Holmes vs. CHW - It's the White Sox. You're starting The Adobe.
Probably Starts
Jameson Taillon vs. COL - "Rockie Road" is such a lovely gift.
Nick Martinez @ KCR - The Royals aren't a lineup to fear for a "Toby".
Tomoyuki Sugano vs. STL - Sugano sure looks like a reliable "Toby" these days.
Kevin Gausman @ TEX - Gausman apparently fixed his grip on the splitter and recorded double-digit whiffs on the pitch last time out. I want to believe it's the moment we've been waiting for.
Questionable Starts
Ryan Weathers @ SDP - I debated between Weathers and Lorenzen for the streaming pick and I'm leaning skills > matchup. Weathers hurled 97 mph twice against the Cubs and produced both times. It's hard to deny that here.
Michael Lorenzen vs. CIN - Pitchers love strolling down the "Reds Carpet", and Loreznen could take advantage of it.
Ryne Nelson vs. PIT - The four-seamer is fantastic without a whole lot of help. Also, get that dang thing upstairs please.
Gavin Williams vs. LAD - It's the Dodgers. Sure feels like Williams is turning a corner though...
Hayden Birdsong @ DET - Birdsong gets a tough draw and all I can do is hope he throws enough strikes.
Erick Fedde @ BAL - The Orioles aren't too scary and if you need a QS, Fedde has a decent shot.
Do Not Starts
Chad Patrick vs. BOS - Patrick has had more success than expected, though the ceiling isn't worth the jump.
Zack Littell vs. MIN - Littell could go "Dancing With The Disco" and survive. Be careful of the park and the Twins' offense looking better in May than in April.
Andrew Heaney @ ARI - Heaney is as volatile as they come.
Adrian Houser @ NYM - If Houser weren't getting the Mets, I'd actually call this a sneaky stream. He's up two ticks from last year around 95 mph, after all.
Randy Vásquez vs. MIA - We're hoping for outs here, at least he has a long enough leash and it's the Marlins?
Ryan Yarbrough @ LAA - We just saw "The Fratty Pirate" have a marvelous outing but don't get sucked in. It's unluckly we'll see five frames again.
Keider Montero vs. SFG - If Montero is at his peak, there's a chance.
Jack Kochanowicz vs. NYY - It's the Yankees.
Carson Palmquist @ CHC - It's the Cubs.
Monday 5/26 Starting Pitcher Streamer Rankings
New for PL Pro members - I am making the streaming table for an extra day out (no write-ups as these pitchers change often). I wanted to add a bonus for those who support us without taking anything away from everyone else, and I thought this was a good compromise.
