Dingler All the Way
Dillon Dingler (DET): 4-5, 2B, 2 HR, 3 R, 4 RBI.
Dingler had himself a ballgame yesterday, tallying four hits and leading the Tigers to a dominant 10-4 victory over their division rival Twins. His first at-bat yielded a home run (99.9 EV / 382 FT) off Taj Bradley. He would then single (104.5 EV) and double (106.4 EV) off Bradley before they pulled him. Finally, in the sixth inning, Dingler launched yet another homer (97.2 EV / 367 FT).
The 27-year-old backstop has been so consistent for Detroit, slashing .248/.329/.528 with a 136 wRC+ — by far his career-best mark. This production has been fueled by an elite .409 xwOBA… and to think perhaps there is way more in the tank? He’s massively underperforming his xStats as seen below, and not to mention his career BABIP has sunk by 55 points. This is a name to watch for a monster second half of the season.
| DINGLER, DILLON (C) | BA | SLG | wOBA |
| Actual | .248 | .528 | .370 |
| Expected | .299 | .578 | .409 |
Let’s see how the other hitters did Tuesday…
Jac Caglianone (KCR): 3-3, 2 HR, 2 R, 3 RBI, BB, SB.
Cags showed off some of that undeniable raw pop yesterday, producing EVs of 105 and 107.9 mph on two home runs in back-to-back plate appearances. The homers traveled 421 and 431 feet, respectively, and both were out in all 30 ballparks. The 23-year-old is slashing .261/.338/.442 with a 116 wRC+ this season. He’s also hit one more home run (8) in one fewer game (61) compared to last season.
Matt Olson (ATL): 2-4, 2 HR, 2 R, 3 RBI, BB.
Olson was cooking against the White Sox, launching two home runs in his first two plate appearances yesterday. He tagged Erick Fedde for a 103 EV / 402 FT shot, and earlier Brandon Eisert for a 103.4 EV / 411 FT bomb — a ball that was gone in 30 of 30 ballparks, per Savant. He’s in line to post his highest SLG and xwOBA since 2023 this season.
Otto Lopez (MIA): 3-5, 2 2B, 4 R, RBI, SB.
Lopez was scorching the ball yesterday, producing EVs of 102.1, 105.3, and 106 mph against a few tough matchups on the Diamondbacks pitching staff. He ended up smacking a single and two doubles. The 27-year-old has broken out just like many (including myself) suggested he would, slashing .341/.369/.490 with a 138 wRC+ through 66 games this season.
Randy Arozarena (SEA): 3-5, HR, 2 R, 3 RBI.
Over his last 70 PAs, Arozarena is slashing .313/.371/.484 with 2 bombs and a 147 wRC+. One of those homers came yesterday — a go-ahead 100.6 EV / 360 foot shot that ended up being the difference. The 31-year-old also singled twice, registering 96.4 and 103.3 EVs.
Hunter Goodman (COL): 1-3, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 BB.
Goodman went deep for the 18th time yesterday in the first inning off Colin Rea, sending a ball 413 feet with an EV of 106 mph. He’s been such a stellar source of pop for the Rockies’ lineup and fantasy managers alike over the past two seasons. Since the start of June, Goodman owns a 235 wRC+ with a whopping 5 home runs and an even amount of walks to strikeouts (7). I’d be surprised if a team wasn’t ready to pay a pretty penny for him at the deadline.
Wade Meckler (LAA): 1-2, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI, 3 BB.
Meckler, 26, has been such an impressive player for the Angels since his promotion, slashing .340/.417/.547 with a 169 wRC+. He only smacked a 99 EV double yesterday, but he also drew multiple walks — let alone three — for the first time in his career. He’s now hit safely in four consecutive games.
Sal Stewart (CIN): 1-4, HR, R, 2 RBI, 2 BB.
Stewart has certainly cooled off — at least compared to what he was doing at the dish earlier this season — but he’s still producing top-of-the-line EVs and the quality of contact remains ideal. He destroyed a two-run homer yesterday, registering a 106.9 EV and traveling 407 feet. He also drew multiple walks for the first time in over two weeks.
Braden Montgomery (CHW): 2-5, HR, R, 3 RBI.
What a debut for the kid! Monty singled in the fourth inning off Grant Holmes, producing a 106.9 EV for his first career major league hit. Then in clutch time, the 23-year-old launched a game-winning, 98.6 EV home run off Raisel Iglesias, traveling 343 feet. Montgomery, a supreme offensive talent, was part of the trade that sent Garrett Crochet to Boston. He slashed .314/.422/.548 with a 152 wRC+ through 56 games with Triple-A prior to making his debut in 2026.
Jesús Sánchez (TOR): 3-4, 2B, HR, R, RBI.
Sanchez tallied knocks in his final three at-bats, including two for extra bases (98.7 EV double, 101.8 EV home run) en route to Toronto’s 3-2 win over Philadelphia. His matchups were tough, too, facing the always-impressive Zack Wheeler and later, Jhoan Duran. Sanchez is in line to turn in career-highs in several notable categories this season, including BA (.296) and wRC+ (121).
