- Kenley Jansen — Sinker up 2.1 MPH (95.9 vs. 93.8 season avg). He only threw one sinker (which J0Ram hit 102 MPH to the warning track), so don’t get too excited. The final out was a 109 MPH lineout right at the left fielder.

- Tejay Antone — Sinker down 0.8 MPH (93.1 vs. 93.9 season avg). The cutter was down too, but the sweepers all that matters with him.
- Luis Mey — Sinker down 2.0 MPH (96.7 vs. 98.7 season avg). I’ll sacrifice 2 MPH from Mey’s sinker if he’s able to locate like this.
- Julian Garcia got the save chance here with Emilio Pagan dealing with a hand injury, but it doesn’t sound too serious. Garcia gave up a walk and a single, but the stuff looked great, and it’s nice seeing the trust building in him.

- Tanner McDougal finally made his debut here, and well, there were some command issues, but from a stuff standpoint, it’s hard not to see some comparisons to Grant Taylor (two elite breakers and a good fastball).

- Andrés Muñoz — Four-Seamer up 1.1 MPH (100.6 vs. 99.5 season avg). Muñoz is in such a good place right now, one of the only things going well with this club.

- Greg Weissert — Sinker down 1.0 MPH (92.9 vs. 93.9 season avg). There’s a big downgrade from Whitlock to Weissert, but that being said, having someone like Weissert stashed in AAA would be a luxury for most teams, as there are plenty of worse relievers.

- Clayton Beeter — Four-Seamer up 2.0 MPH (97.6 vs. 95.6 season avg). This is the best fastball velocity we’ve seen from Beeter since April 1st. If he can bring this stuff on a regular basis with even average level command, that’s top 12-15 closer-esque stuff.

- I’m not here to make excuses for Edwin Díaz (and what Dave Roberts has been saying in his post-game pressers is blasphemy, pure Tanner Scott erasure), but he got Singled Out here. Now three of those singles were hit well, and not being able to get swing and miss when needed is a problem. He should be removed from the closer role temporarily, but as long as Roberts doesn’t believe in anyone else in that bullpen (what a thing for a manager to say), Díaz will continue to get save chances. I think he’ll ultimately be fine, but it sure could help to get him right in some low-leverage situations.
