Welcome to the RP Roundup, my daily fantasy baseball article reviewing every reliever performance from the previous day.
MIA 4 – WSN 1
| Miami Marlins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calvin Faucher – HLD (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Pete Fairbanks – SV (7) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Pete Fairbanks looked fine here, and it looks like the cutter and slider are trending in the right direction after the past two outings. The fastball is meh, but there’s another gear there if he needs it.
| Washington Nationals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brad Lord | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 3 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Orlando Ribalta | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Clayton Beeter – L (1) | 1.1 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 3 K | 8 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| Gus Varland | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
| Paxton Schultz | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 7% CSW |
- Clayton Beeter entered this one in the seventh, and the eight whiffs are cool, but the command was all over the place (shocker, I know). It may be time to give Orlando Ribalta a look in the ninth (I don’t particularly love that either, but the options are limited).
DET 7 – TBR 2
| Detroit Tigers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drew Anderson | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- Drew Anderson looked good here (was he mixing in a two-seamer?), and I’d still hope to see him settle into a setup role here moving forward. At least until Finnegan figures things out.
| Tampa Bay Rays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mason Englert | 5.0 IP | 1 ER | 4 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 11 Whiffs | 28% CSW |
- There are worse long relievers out there than Mason Englert, but I’m not sure there’s a path to fantasy relevance for him.
CHW 8 – MIN 0
| Chicago White Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grant Taylor | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 6 Whiffs | 52% CSW |
| Chris Murphy | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 9 Whiffs | 43% CSW |
- Grant Taylor’s velocity was down again, and maybe that’s a good thing, as his splits are much better when his fastball velocity is under 98 MPH. Even in the 97 MPH range, the two breakers give him elite stuff.
| Minnesota Twins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eric Orze | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Taylor Rogers | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
| Cody Laweryson | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Justin Lawrence | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 37% CSW |
- Justin Lawrence made his Twins debut, and the fastball velocity was up one MPH, but the command was not great here. He’s still a more intriguing option than more than half this bullpen right now.
NYM 7 – SEA 1
| New York Mets | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brooks Raley | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Luke Weaver | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 60% CSW |
| Joey Gerber | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 10% CSW |
- Luke Weaver dominated almost solely with his fastball (which was up to 96 MPH here), and he’s just been on a tear lately.
| Seattle Mariners | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eduard Bazardo | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 54% CSW |
| José A. Ferrer | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Cooper Criswell | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Alex Hoppe | 2.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
- Alex Hoppe was up over 98 MPH here, which, with his slider (and changeup?), could be pretty interesting.
SDP 2 – PHI 3
| San Diego Padres | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jason Adam – L (1) | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Wandy Peralta | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 15% CSW |
- Jason Adam gave up a home run to Realmuto on his fastball up, and a home run to Schwarber on a changeup down and away, not bad pitches, but Adam’s stuff has taken a hit this year as he’s been much more hittable than usual.
| Philadelphia Phillies | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brad Keller – HLD (10) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 18% CSW |
| Jhoan Duran – SV (14) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
- Jhoan Duran has been so tough this year, and we may be close to putting him up there with Mason Miller and Cade Smith in that top tier. Love seeing the swing and miss stuff return for him.
BAL 1 – BOS 8
| Baltimore Orioles | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Albert Suárez | 2.0 IP | 5 ER | 7 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Anthony Nunez | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Grant Wolfram | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
- Anthony Nunez looked better here; the hits weren’t exactly hit hard, and he only threw two sinkers (one of which was a strikeout). Why mention the sinker? Guess which pitch currently holds a .600 BA against him…

| Boston Red Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ryan Watson – SV (1) | 3.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 2 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Breakers are still good for Ryan Watson, everything else, not so much (he may be better off going sinker over four-seam).
CLE 5 – NYY 4
| Cleveland Guardians | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tim Herrin – HLD (9) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 5 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
| Colin Holderman – HLD (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Hunter Gaddis – HLD (9) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 7% CSW |
| Cade Smith – SV (21) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 55% CSW |
- Tim Herrin holds an ugly 4% K-BB and 5.68 xFIP on the season, but he also had nine holds over the past month and has a bigger role with Sabrowski out. He’s great against lefties when he can throw his breakers and hide the fastball, but he has really struggled to figure out righties (-3.7% K-BB, 1.91 WHIP, 6.67 xFIP).
| New York Yankees | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fernando Cruz | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 6 Whiffs | 56% CSW |
| Tim Hill | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
| Paul Blackburn | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
- Speaking of struggling left-handed relievers named Tim H, Tim Hill has had a rough 30 days with an ERA of 9.00 and a WHIP of 2.30 (5.4% K-BB, 4.5% SwStr rate) over his past 10 innings. He’s likely safe on the roster, but Brent Headrick is pulling away as the preferred lefty in this bullpen.
KCR 5 – CIN 2
| Kansas City Royals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daniel Lynch IV – W (2) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Alex Lange – SV (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
- Alex Lange gets the first save chance in the post-Erceg era, although according to Quatraro, he still views Lucas Erceg as a ninth-inning option long term (I guess they are preparing for no Carlos Estévez this season?). Lange still has questionable command, but he does hold a 2.03 ERA, 1.05 WHIP since the start of May.
| Cincinnati Reds | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Caleb Ferguson | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
| Tejay Antone | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
| Tony Santillan – L (3) | 0.1 IP | 3 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Zach McCambley | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
- I was shocked (well, not that shocked) to see Tony Santillan in the ninth inning of a tie game here. Even with the lack of options in this bullpen, they could have at least tried one of the younger arms. He gave up a hard hit single on the first pitch he threw (a curveball) before going fastball-heavy for the next 11 pitches, including a sac bunt for the first out and a hard hit single to Massey. After Massey’s single, he tried going back to the breaker, falling behind 2-0 to Loftin before throwing him a middle-middle fastball that Loftin hit for his first home run of 2026. He then walked Thomas and was pulled for McCambley. Santillan hadn’t allowed a run until April 24th, but since then, he holds a 12.41 ERA, and 2.35 WHIP (4.6% K-BB, 4.7% SwStr, 22% CSW, 90 Stuff+) over 12.1 innings.
TOR 3 – ATL 7
| Toronto Blue Jays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yariel Rodriguez | 1.1 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Adam Macko | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Hayden Juenger | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 45% CSW |
- Hayden Juenger has a really good changeup and above-average slider and fastball, so there could be something here. It’s just a deep bullpen, so he’ll have a hard time breaking through into any sort of leverage role.
| Atlanta Braves | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dylan Lee – HLD (11) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| Robert Suarez | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 28% CSW |
| Tyler Kinley | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
- No whiffs from Dylan Lee is surprising, but he did wind up with a higher CSW rate than the other two Braves relievers here. He was locating on the edges here, with the six strikes thrown all near the edge. The velocity was down, but it does seem to flucuate for him game to game (similar to Robert Suarez, who was back up in this one).
SFG 1 – MIL 0
| San Francisco Giants | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Erik Miller – HLD (8) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 9% CSW |
| Keaton Winn – SV (1) | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
- Keaton Winn got a quick double play in the eighth inning, which gave him a chance to finish the ninth as well, and while I don’t love him as a closer, what other option do the Giants have right now? Low ceiling, but he may have a high enough floor with the splitter/sinker combo to be worth a look in deeper leagues.

| Milwaukee Brewers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chad Patrick | 4.0 IP | 0 ER | 3 H | 2 BB | 4 K | 7 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
- This is likely the role Chad Patrick settles into, which doesn’t help much for fantasy but is nice depth for the Brewers.
TEX 3 – STL 5
| Texas Rangers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Luis Curvelo | 1.1 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Robby Ahlstrom | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 1 Whiffs | 41% CSW |
| Cal Quantrill | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 43% CSW |
- This was Robby Ahlstrom’s debut, and the line looks great, and I’m at least intrigued by the plus fastball from the left side here. I’m not sure about the breakers yet, but the fastball at least has my attention.
| St. Louis Cardinals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| JoJo Romero – HLD (16) | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Ryne Stanek – HLD (11) | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Riley O’Brien – SV (15) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
- Riley O’Brien got through this outing unscathed, but should we be concerned about that fastball velocity dropping 2.2 MPH here? The command was also terrible again. I’m more concerned after this outing than the previous one.

ATH 5 – CHC 4
| Athletics | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Joel Kuhnel | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| José Suarez | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Mark Leiter Jr. Jr. | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
| Luis Medina | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 5 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Hogan Harris – W (3) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Justin Sterner – SV (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
- I know this was an extra-innings save for Justin Sterner, but would anyone push back if he finally were to get a chance to close out games? Going back the past month+ (13.1 IP), he holds a 1.35 ERA, 0.38 WHIP, and a 16% SwStr rate. He doesn’t have the upside Perkins possessed, but he’s interesting enough to consider in 12-teamers if he were to get the role.
| Chicago Cubs | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hoby Milner – HLD (5) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| Jacob Webb – HLD (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Caleb Thielbar – BS (2) | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 12% CSW |
| Phil Maton | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 8% CSW |
| Daniel Palencia | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
| Ethan Roberts – L (1) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Ryan Rolison | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
- Caleb Thielbar hasn’t been quite right since returning from the IL, with the velocity slightly down and command not as sharp. I’m not totally out on him, but you can probably move on in holds leagues for now.
PIT 9 – HOU 11
| Pittsburgh Pirates | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yohan Ramírez | 2.1 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Mason Montgomery | 0.2 IP | 3 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Gregory Soto – L (1) | 0.0 IP | 3 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 28% CSW |
| Brandan Bidois | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
- What a mess here from both Mason Montgomery and Gregory Soto, as neither could locate their stuff here. Montgomery actually struck out the first two batters he faced in the eighth before things completely unraveled. Back-to-back doubles to Allen and Vazquez (on very similar fastballs down and in) followed by a walk to Pena left to Montgomerys exit and Soto entering to get the final out of the inning. Teh single to Walker here was a fluke, but it was still an ugly outing from Soto. The stuff looked fine at least, but both he and Montgomery (prone to lapses in command/control) need to locate better moving forward.
| Houston Astros | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alimber Santa | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 19% CSW |
| Bryan King | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
| Nate Pearson | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 3 K | 5 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| AJ Blubaugh – W (3) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Josh Hader – SV (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
- Alimber Santa’s velocity was down 3.1 MPH here, and Nate Pearson was also down 1.1 MPH. Not great, as those two had been interesting.
- Josh Hader made his 2026 return (finally!), and he looked like his normal self, thankfully, so it looks like he may have been worth waiting on. The command was a little rusty (as can be expected), but the stuff is still there, and assuming this velo sticks, he should be a top 10 closer the rest of the way (unless he is traded to San Diego to set up Mason Miller).

COL 4 – LAA 11
| Colorado Rockies | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Keegan Thompson | 2.2 IP | 3 ER | 5 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 6 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
| Seth Halvorsen | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 3 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| TJ Shook | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
- I’m still just waiting on Seth Halvorsen to be traded to the Yankees.
| Los Angeles Angels | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drew Pomeranz | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Ryan Zeferjahn | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Kirby Yates | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
- Please don’t be fooled by the Kirby Yates outing. The outs came against three AAA hitters in Thompson, Karros, and Stevens(?), while Julien doubled off him. The splitter still looks good, yes, but the fastball is a big red flag.
LAD 7 – ARI 0
| Los Angeles Dodgers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jonathan Hernández | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 3 K | 3 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
| Jack Dreyer | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
- I can’t believe how good Jonathan Hernández has been for the Dodgers so far. Actually, yes I can; this is the Dodgers, they do this all the time with forgotten relievers. Will it last? That I am skeptical about, but so far he’s been great for them.
| Arizona Diamondbacks | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Taylor Clarke | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Brandon Pfaadt | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 19% CSW |
| Ryan Thompson | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Jonathan Loáisiga | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 60% CSW |
- The WHIP king, Taylor Clarke allowing both a hit and a walk here? It is the Dodgers lineup after all.
