The plate discipline still leaves little to be desired, but Teoscar Hernández has figured a way around that to post a very solid AVG this year. We know about the power he possesses, but it has been the batting average that has set him apart this year and his .376 BABIP may have something to do with it. Tough to say he will be able to keep this up in the future but as for 2021, there is no reason to expect anything less during the final weeks.

The former MVP now owns a .282/.374/.580 slash line with 26 HRs and 75 RBI across only 88 games. The veteran first baseman has launched 15 bombs over his last 26 games and will be an interesting name on draft boards next year.

That is more than Gerrit Cole, Zack Wheeler, and Lucas Giolito, among other studs. Deeper leagues should give him a look as he is not only tallying up wins, but he has pitched very effectively for the Brew Crew.

The 26-year old has shown the ability to miss bats so he should be scooped up for the stretch run.

Over the past month, Gregory Soto has the most saves in baseball going a perfect 8-for-8. While there is not a ton of stock to put in that, especially closing for Detroit, Soto is still only owned in 57% of Yahoo leagues and less than 40% of ESPN leagues.

The Red’s closing carousel continues! Mychal Givens appears to be the next guy up… I think? The veteran reliever has converted all three save opportunities since joining the Cincinnati pen. He is only relevant in the deepest of leagues.

Chris Bassitt may very well finish in the top three for the AL Cy Young award. The right-hander owns a 3.06 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP for the year to go along with ten wins. Bassitt has been one of the best fantasy draft picks of 2021.

Josiah Gray has been getting a regular turn in the rotation for the rebuilding Nationals since being acquired in the Trea Turner/Max Scherzer deal. Gray has shown real effectiveness and the ability to miss bats and limit damage. He appears to be a future building block for that Washington rotation.

The veteran soft-tosser, Zack Greinke, has reeled off three QS over his last four outings. and his season total is now up to 13 on the year. Greinke has consistently been towards the top of this category over the last several years due to his ability to eat innings and great command. He is about as reliable as they come.

Marco Gonzales has gotten his season back on track over his last five outings turning in three consecutive QS during that time. Gonzales will not miss bats, but as we saw last year, he has shown he can be a decent, reliable option on most fantasy benches.
