Welcome to the RP Roundup, my daily fantasy baseball article reviewing every reliever performance from the previous day.
TOR 10 – SFG 0
| Toronto Blue Jays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tyler Rogers | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
- Nice, clean outing from Tyler Rogers here, but his hold output has slowed (4 over the past month), and aside from ERA help, he doesn’t give you much else. You know what you’re getting with Rogers at least.
| San Francisco Giants | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spencer Bivens | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 16% CSW |
| Ryan Walker | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
- This may be the end for Ryan Walker in San Francisco. Maybe they just option him back to AAA, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he were ultimately DFA’d. Walker’s just been a massive disappointment since his 2024 breakout.

CHC 9 – BAL 7
| Chicago Cubs | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drew Pomeranz – HLD (8) | 1.1 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Trent Thornton | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Caleb Thielbar | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Jacob Webb – SV (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
- No strikeouts, but we’ll take this outing from Jacob Webb, as he made things relatively easy. He’ll get the bulk of the save chances while Palencia is out, but not all of them.
| Baltimore Orioles | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rico Garcia | 1.1 IP | 2 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Grant Wolfram | 0.2 IP | 3 ER | 1 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 28% CSW |
| Albert Suárez | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 3 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Tyler Wells | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
- Tyler Wells continues to get closer usage, and with it looking more and more like Ryan Helsley will be out for a long time, Wells has a real chance to hang on to this closer role for the rest of the season. He’s not elite from a stuff perspective, but he typically has good command and has allowed just one earned run since the start of June.
ATH 1 – DET 6
| Athletics | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Justin Sterner | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
| Mason Barnett | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| José Suarez | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 4 K | 7 Whiffs | 48% CSW |
- I don’t think the A’s have unlocked something with José Suarez but he’s pitching well as of late, and there may be some sort of reliever SWATCH situation developing.
| Detroit Tigers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Keider Montero | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Tyler Holton | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Beau Brieske | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
- Keider Montero’s stuff hasn’t played up out of the bullpen yet, so he’s not someone I can recommend at this time.
ATL 3 – PIT 0
| Atlanta Braves | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Didier Fuentes | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Dylan Dodd – W (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Dylan Lee – HLD (19) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Raisel Iglesias – SV (18) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
- This bullpen is so deep, rivaling the Dodgers bullpen at this point. Dylan Lee’s velocity will fluctuate game to game, but it was up here (same goes for Didier Fuentes).
| Pittsburgh Pirates | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mason Montgomery | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
| Dennis Santana – L (4) | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
| Isaac Mattson | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- I’m not sure what the plan was here for the Pirates, with Mason Montgomery pitching the seventh and then Dennis Santana in the eighth in a tie game? I know this bullpen is struggling and they are desperate to find leverage arms, but going back to Santana in that role does not feel like the correct answer.
SEA 0 – MIA 2
| Miami Marlins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cade Gibson – HLD (1) | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 4 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
| Michael Petersen – HLD (16) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Pete Fairbanks – SV (13) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 1 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
- The thing with Pete Fairbanks, and why I’m not totally out on him despite the ERA is that he will continue to tinker until he finds something that will work. This was one of his best outings in a while, and we saw an increase in his slider usage, and he didn’t throw a single cutter here. This is more traditional usage from Fairbanks, and I think this is the right move, as that cutter has not been effective for him as it was last year, when it was a new pitch.
NYY 0 – TBR 3
| New York Yankees | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fernando Cruz | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Angel Chivilli | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
- Not sure what’s happened to Angel Chivilli’s changeup, but it’s not the same as it once was.
| Tampa Bay Rays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cole Sulser – HLD (8) | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 3 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Bryan Baker – SV (25) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 4 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
- Ok, Cole Sulser! The velocity was up a MPH here (with great four-seam shape), and we know how great his changeup can be, but the sweeper could be a difference maker for him.
HOU 2 – WSN 8
| Houston Astros | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alimber Santa | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 18% CSW |
| Nate Pearson | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 11% CSW |
| Cristian Javier | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 4 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- In case you were wondering, reliever Cristian Javier is not worth your attention.
| Washington Nationals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orlando Ribalta | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Justin Lawrence | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 3 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
- Orlando Ribalta was throwing over a MPH harder here, sitting in the 98 MPH range, and if he can sustain this sort of velocity, he should be just fine and hang on to a high leverage role in this bullpen desperate for talent.
KCR 2 – NYM 6
| Kansas City Royals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Randy Dobnak | 5.2 IP | 0 ER | 3 H | 3 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 19% CSW |
| Matt Strahm | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 60% CSW |
| Alex Lange – L (5) | 0.2 IP | 5 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 16% CSW |
| Jose Cuas | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 43% CSW |
- Alex Lange came into this one in the eighth inning, and that leaves questions about who was getting the ninth anyway, but then he goes out and allows five earned runs, so I think we can safely assume his run as Royals closer has come to an end.
| New York Mets | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tobias Myers – BS (3) | 2.0 IP | 1 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 15% CSW |
| Brooks Raley – W (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
| Xzavion Curry | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
- This is the first time we’ve seen Xzavion Curry this season, and there’s nothing to get excited about with his pitch mix.
PHI 5 – CIN 11
| Philadelphia Phillies | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tanner Banks | 0.1 IP | 4 ER | 4 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Max Lazar | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
| José Alvarado | 1.0 IP | 4 ER | 2 H | 3 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Brad Keller | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| Tim Mayza | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 7 Whiffs | 43% CSW |
- It’s been a brutal season for José Alvarado, and while the Phillies need some left-handed talent in that bullpen, I think they need to consider someone from outside of the organization to pair with Tim Mayza.
| Cincinnati Reds | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brock Burke | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Caleb Ferguson | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
| Rhett Lowder | 2.0 IP | 1 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
- Blegh.
CLE 5 – MIN 6
| Cleveland Guardians | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Colin Holderman | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Tim Herrin | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Shawn Armstrong | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
| Erik Sabrowski – BS (1) | 0.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 3 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Hunter Gaddis | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 28% CSW |
| Cade Smith | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
| Matt Festa – L (2) | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
- Tim Herrin — Four-Seamer up 1.0 MPH (95.5 vs. 94.5 season avg)
- Shawn Armstrong — Four-Seamer down 1.1 MPH (92.5 vs. 93.6 season avg)
- Erik Sabrowski threw just 1 of his 14 pitches in the strike zone here.
- Hunter Gaddis — Four-Seamer usage 56% (+29 pts vs. 27% usual)
- Cade Smith — Four-Seamer up 1.7 MPH (98.6 vs. 96.9 season avg)
- Matt Festa — Four-Seamer usage 74% (+33 pts vs. 41% usual)
| Minnesota Twins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Travis Adams | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Eric Orze | 0.1 IP | 2 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Taylor Rogers | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 53% CSW |
| Kody Funderburk | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 3 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Yoendrys Gómez – W (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
- Eric Orze — Four-Seamer usage 56% (+31 pts vs. 25% usual)
- Taylor Rogers — Sinker up 1.0 MPH (92.8 vs. 91.8 season avg)
- Kody Funderburk — Sinker up 1.4 MPH (94.0 vs. 92.6 season avg)
- Yoendrys Gómez — Four-Seamer up 1.0 MPH (96.4 vs. 95.4 season avg); Cutter usage 42% (+27 pts vs. 15% usual)
BOS 5 – CHW 0
| Boston Red Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Greg Weissert | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 10% CSW |
| Jovani Morán | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
- Jovani Morán remains one of the more underrated relievers out there, and between him and fellow breakout Tyron Guerrero, the Sox should be open to selling high on the pair this deadline.
| Chicago White Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chris Murphy | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 6 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Seranthony Domínguez | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Bryan Hudson | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 6 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Trevor Richards | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 4 K | 4 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
- Seranthony Domínguez continues to see non-leverage usage, and his stuff has fallen off as well, so he’s well off the fantasy radar at this point.
MIL 1 – STL 5
| Milwaukee Brewers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grant Anderson | 1.1 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 7 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Jared Koenig | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Garrett Stallings | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 7 Whiffs | 57% CSW |
- Garrett Stallings‘ line looks a lot better than his stuff here, and nothing he throws grades out above average or better.
| St. Louis Cardinals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Luis Gastelum | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| JoJo Romero | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Riley O’Brien | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
- Luis Gastelum made his 2026 debut here, and nothing is exciting, so we can move along.
LAA 13 – TEX 1
| Los Angeles Angels | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Samy Natera Jr. – W (1) | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 5 K | 6 Whiffs | 71% CSW |
| Ryan Zeferjahn | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 41% CSW |
| José Fermin | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 41% CSW |
| Mitch Farris | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
- Samy Natera Jr. man. This whole bullpen is Cherry Bomb central (Natera, Zeferjahn, Bachman, Fermin), with Natera having elite outings like this one, but then he will go out and give up four earned over two-thirds. The stuff is truly elite, though, so he’s at least worth monitoring in a bullpen that is fairly wide open.
| Texas Rangers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gavin Collyer | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Ben Peoples | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
| Robby Ahlstrom | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Kyle Higashioka | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Ben Peoples made his debut here and looked OK with an average-ish fastball/slider combo.
COL 3 – LAD 4
| Colorado Rockies | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brennan Bernardino | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Antonio Senzatela – L (1) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
- Just avoid this.
| Los Angeles Dodgers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jack Dreyer | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 60% CSW |
| Alex Vesia | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 39% CSW |
| Edgardo Henriquez – W (4) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Tanner Scott – SV (13) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 45% CSW |
- I know Vesia and Scott are firmly entrenched in more important roles, but Jack Dreyer throwing 96.5 MPH with his fastball shape is really unfair. It was only five pitches, but I mean, look at what can be.

ARI 4 – SDP 10
| Arizona Diamondbacks | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brandyn Garcia | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
| Taylor Clarke | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 5 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 4 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Juan Morillo | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Ryan Thompson | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 7% CSW |
- Juan Morillo hasn’t been as dominant the past month or so, but he’s still throwing the ball well. I just wish the secondaries were more consistent. Long term, though, a trio of Brandyn Garcia, Morillo, and Justin Martinez should do just fine in the later innings.
| San Diego Padres | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ron Marinaccio | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
| Kyle Hart | 2.0 IP | 1 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
- Kyle Hart had a spurt a while back where it looked like he might appear on the holds league radar, but that time has passed I think.
