Welcome to the RP Roundup, my daily fantasy baseball article reviewing every reliever performance from the previous day.
TBR 1 – CLE 0
| Tampa Bay Rays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ian Seymour – HLD (6) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Kevin Kelly – HLD (4) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Cole Sulser – SV (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
- Cole Sulser got called on with Bryan Baker getting the day off, and while he made things interesting, he was still able to shut the door on the Guardians and pick up a save. Sulser has a similar arsenal to Baker, just not nearly as good.
| Cleveland Guardians | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tim Herrin | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 18% CSW |
| Connor Brogdon | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
| Peyton Pallette | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 41% CSW |
- Connor Brogdon could be due for a bigger role with Shawn Armstrong now on the IL, but despite a solid changeup/fastball combo, there’s not a lot to get excited about here.
HOU 3 – BAL 5
| Houston Astros | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steven Okert | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 10% CSW |
| Ryan Weiss | 3.2 IP | 3 ER | 2 H | 2 BB | 3 K | 8 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Bennett Sousa | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 3 Whiffs | 54% CSW |
- That’s more like it Bennett Sousa. The stuff is still down from last year overall, but these are the type of results we saw from Sousa in 2025.
| Baltimore Orioles | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rico Garcia – HLD (5) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 60% CSW |
| Andrew Kittredge – HLD (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 3 K | 5 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Anthony Nunez | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 47% CSW |
| Ryan Helsley – SV (7) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
- Anthony Nunez did not have great command here, leaving some sweepers and the lone changeup he threw over the plate. Ultimately, have no concerns here.
- Ryan Helsley only getting 2 whiffs and zero strikeouts, is a bit odd, but the stuff looked great. He’s still leaving a lot of hittable pitches over the middle of the plate (or missing the plate completely), but at least the stuff is good enough to mitigate the damage done (for now).
COL 2 – CIN 7
| Cincinnati Reds | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Graham Ashcraft – HLD (7) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Tony Santillan – HLD (8) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Brock Burke | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 55% CSW |
- Graham Ashcraft’s velocity has been down the past five games, and while it was slightly back up in this one, it’s still not 99 MPH like we saw to begin the year. As a result, Ashcraft holds a 6.11 SIERA, 1.60 WHIP, –9.5% K-BB, 3.6% SwStr, and 20.5% CSW rates over these past five games. I’m a little concerned.
STL 11 – PIT 7
| St. Louis Cardinals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gordon Graceffo – HLD (2) | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
| Justin Bruihl | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Matt Svanson | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 2 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
- Despite the HR allowed here, this is maybe the best Matt Svanson has looked this season, as we saw the sinker up to 97 MPH, and the sweeper looked good as well. Progress.
| Pittsburgh Pirates | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hunter Barco | 4.2 IP | 5 ER | 6 H | 2 BB | 3 K | 7 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
- Hunter Barco will be interesting one day.
SFG 0 – PHI 7
| San Francisco Giants | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Matt Gage | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 15% CSW |
| Blade Tidwell | 2.0 IP | 2 ER | 4 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 6 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
- Blade Tidwell had some abysmal fastball command in this one, and just the command in general was pretty bad as he either missed the zone or left stuff middle middle. There’s a really good pitcher here, just not quite there yet.
| Philadelphia Phillies | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orion Kerkering | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Tim Mayza | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
- Orion Kerkering had a better fastball in this one, and look at the results. And he threw that splitter 3 times here! He’s been so hit or miss, but this is the good stuff, this is the pitch mix/stuff we need to see.
BOS 0 – TOR 3
| Boston Red Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zack Kelly | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Tyler Samaniego | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Ryan Watson | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- Zack Kelly’s pitch mix is fine, and it really comes down to how he is locating and mixing his arsenal. Some hittable pitches left out there, but he got through this one mostly unscathed still.
| Toronto Blue Jays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mason Fluharty – HLD (5) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Jeff Hoffman – HLD (3) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 1 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Tyler Rogers – HLD (7) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Louis Varland – SV (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 3 Whiffs | 47% CSW |
- Obviously, this Red Sox offense is one of the worst in baseball, but Jeff Hoffman still looked really good here, and the command was the best he’s had in a while. That being said, Louis Varland is still the better option of the two right now, and it’s not that close.
WSN 0 – NYM 8
| Washington Nationals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brad Lord | 2.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Andre Granillo | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Andre Granillo is back, and not only does his fastball still stink, but the slider looks like it’s taken a step back. I didn’t understand the Soriano for Granillo deal at the time from the Cardinals’ standpoint, but it makes sense now.
| New York Mets | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tobias Myers | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| Craig Kimbrel | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 5 Whiffs | 64% CSW |
- Craig Kimbrel turned back the clock and was throwing 94 MPH here with 2.4° HAVAA! This would be an interesting development if it sticks.

DET 2 – ATL 5
| Detroit Tigers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brant Hurter | 2.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Burch Smith | 2.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 4 K | 8 Whiffs | 39% CSW |
| Tyler Holton | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 4 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
- Tyler Holton used to be interesting, and now there’s just no real point to roster him in fantasy.
| Atlanta Braves | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Didier Fuentes – HLD (1) | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Tyler Kinley – HLD (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Aaron Bummer | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Didier Fuentes could be a really fun reliever…but there’s no need for the Braves to even consider that at this point.
SEA 7 – MIN 1
| Seattle Mariners | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eduard Bazardo – W (2) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Gabe Speier – HLD (5) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 12% CSW |
| Matt Brash | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 1 Whiffs | 46% CSW |
| Cooper Criswell | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
- Good to see two K’s from Matt Brash here, as he has been down in the swing and miss department this season. I’m fine with him trusting his fastball more (or even the changeup) and he could probably benefit from throwing that slider closer to 50% of the time instead of the 60% he had been at.
| Minnesota Twins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kody Funderburk | 1.1 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 7% CSW |
| Cole Sands | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Luis García Jr. | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 13% CSW |
- Not sure why the Twins think 39-year-old Luis García Jr. might be the answer to their bullpen problems, but they couldn’t give us a look at anyone else on their AAA roster?
LAA 2 – CHW 5
| Los Angeles Angels | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brent Suter | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Joey Lucchesi | 0.1 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Jose Fermin | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 5 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Good to see Jose Fermin back in the picture, and no walks here is progress. That being said, only 2 of his 20 pitches here were in or even near the zone, so he did get lucky with some chases. The stuffs really good still, the command is just a work in progress (to put it mildly).
| Chicago White Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sean Newcomb – HLD (2) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 3 K | 4 Whiffs | 34% CSW |
| Jordan Leasure | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Seranthony Domínguez – SV (7) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
- The command is still a concern, but we’ve gotten better results from Seranthony Domínguez lately, at least. Roster at your own risk.
ARI 2 – MIL 13
| Arizona Diamondbacks | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Andrew Hoffmann | 0.1 IP | 8 ER | 8 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Ryan Thompson | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Taylor Clarke | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 8% CSW |
| James McCann | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- Andrew Hoffmann with maybe the worst line from any reliever this season? The fastball is just not MLB caliber.
| Milwaukee Brewers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shane Drohan – HLD (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 60% CSW |
| Jake Woodford – SV (1) | 3.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
- The Brewers don’t exactly need any more left-handed relievers…but Shane Drohan could actually be really interesting in that role. Maybe better than Zerpa at his point.
NYY 3 – TEX 2
| New York Yankees | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brent Headrick – HLD (3) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 5 Whiffs | 37% CSW |
| Fernando Cruz – HLD (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 7 Whiffs | 53% CSW |
| David Bednar – SV (9) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
- David Bednar dealt with some bad defense behind him again, but regardless, the stuff remains down, and the swing and miss just isn’t what it used to be. The fastball just isn’t where it needs to be, but I do give credit to Bednar for grinding through this and still finding ways to finish games.
| Texas Rangers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jalen Beeks | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Jakob Junis | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
| Cole Winn | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
- Cole Winn saw Jacob Latz increase his stuff/velo and decided to copy him as his velo was up 1 MPH on his fastball, with the cutter up 2.5 MPH. The four-seamer is still vulnerable (asking Judge), but the secondaries are really good.
KCR 4 – ATH 1
| Kansas City Royals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| John Schreiber | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 15% CSW |
| Daniel Lynch IV | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Matt Strahm | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Nick Mears – W (2) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 43% CSW |
| Lucas Erceg – SV (7) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
- Lucas Erceg looked OK here; it’s still hard to get excited about him with the velo at 97 MPH, but his secondaries do look pretty good right now. It’s just going to come down to him commanding with the fastball.
| Athletics | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hogan Harris – BS (1) | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Scott Barlow | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 45% CSW |
| Mark Leiter Jr. Jr. | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
| Jack Perkins | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
| Justin Sterner – L (3) | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- Jack Perkins pitching just one inning, and it being the ninth inning in a tie game?! Oh, and this is how his stuff looked?! Time to get excited if you were able to pick him up this week.

CHC 8 – SDP 3
| Chicago Cubs | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hoby Milner – HLD (3) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Ryan Rolison | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
- Ryan Rolison has some interesting breakers in his arsenal, but the fastball is lagging. Still a fine depth lefty.
| San Diego Padres | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyle Hart – L (1) | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| David Morgan | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Wandy Peralta | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 12% CSW |
| Ron Marinaccio | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- This group isn’t too exciting at this point, but between Hart and Peralta, the Padres need to find that secondary lefty option (maybe it’s just Bradgley with his changeup?)
MIA 2 – LAD 1
| Miami Marlins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anthony Bender – HLD (4) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
| Michael Petersen – HLD (3) | 0.1 IP | 1 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
| John King – HLD (2) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Tyler Phillips – SV (2) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Michael Petersen’s velo was down 1.5 MPH here as he entered in the 8th inning with the Marlins up two runs. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious, but he will not be very interesting if he’s throwing 95 MPH.
- Tyler Phillips got the first save chance post-Fairbanks injury, which is kind of surprising considering he doesn’t even have a hold, and his one previous save was of the three-inning blowout variety. He’s probably not worth chasing, even with Fairbanks out for two weeks.
| Los Angeles Dodgers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tanner Scott | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Blake Treinen | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Jack Dreyer | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
- Oh cool, Tanner Scott pitching in the 7th inning with the Dodgers down AGAIN. This definitely is shaping up to be more of a committee than maybe anticipated, but Scott still remains the best option to roster. The Marlins are loaded with lefties in their lineup, so that is definitely a factor in the recent usage.
