Jason Adam, Lake Bachar, Anthony Bender, Hunter Bigge, Lucas Erceg, Ryan Helsley, Tanner Scott, and Blake Treinen all had three SV+HLDs this past week. Bachar is the name that sticks out as the most surprising, but the 29 year old rookie isn’t on the fantasy radar this year or next. Helsley continues to build his lead and should finish the season with the most saves (and most SV+HLD’s). Below are the SV+HLD leaders for the season as we enter the final weekend of play.
The board is split with 6 closers and 6 set up options (including Chapman who just recently moved into the closer role), which is the first time this has been an even split as typically closers dominant the SV+HLD leaderboards (last year had 11 closers to 1 setup guy – Cano). However, you can clearly see that there is somewhat of a cap on set up/holds options as Helsley and Clase have a sizable lead on Cano and Abreu.
