Rankings of the SP Streamers for today’s, tomorrow’s, and the day after tomorrow’s games for fantasy baseball.
Every day of the 2026 baseball season, I’ll be looking at today’s and tomorrow’s slate of scheduled starting pitchers and ranking their matchups for your fantasy baseball streams.
There’s a lot that goes into this and you can hang out with me on twitch.tv/pitcherlist to talk about the specific ranks as I make them every weekday morning from 10am – 12pm ET. If you have questions about these ranks, please ask during the morning Twitch AMA. Those are my office hours as I generally don’t answer comments on the site.
There are four tiers to these rankings with 12-teamers in mind:
Auto-Start – Just do it. Don’t overthink this, start the man. This includes “if I have them rostered, I’m starting them” pitchers.
Probably Start – I’m likely starting these arms, though I recognize there is more risk than we’d like there to be. Either it’s a tough matchup for a good-not-elite pitcher or a weak lineup for a volatile arm. These pitchers have a 50% or greater chance of performing well in my view and I’m starting them in the majority of situations.
Questionable Start – Think of this tier as “I don’t want to start these pitchers in a vacuum, but you could do worse.” Streamers found in this tier are not pitchers I’m targeting and are only if you are in dire need of one. To play it safe with streaming, just start the Probably Start streamers.
Do Not Start – The reward is not worth the risk. Don’t do it. Seriously, these pitchers have a very slim chance of success or sometimes none at all.
Obviously, there will be circumstances where pitchers should move between teams for your situation specifically and these new tiers should act as a little more help than the straight table from last year.
Please keep in mind that streaming is far from a perfect play. In fact, if they work out over half the time, I’d consider it a success. These matchup rankings & streamer picks are going to be wildly different than the actual results throughout the year, so please, have sympathy before the scathing comments and tweets. I’m only trying to help!
There is a second table (and now third for PL Pro members) for tomorrow’s starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.
And of course, there are my streaming picks of the day. Please keep in mind that for my streaming record, I am forced to pick a streamer every day even if they are in the bottom tier. Those highlighted in Green are that day’s streaming pick in the second tier and I’d roll with them everywhere. Those in Yellow are in the third tier and should be okay if you’re searching for something on a given day, but I don’t recommend streaming unless you’re in need. Finally, those are Red are those I really don’t want to start (they are labeled as “Do Not Start,” after all) but have no other choice. Don’t stream Do Not Start pitchers unless you are truly desperate. A streaming pick is defined as “rostered in 20% or fewer leagues” according to Fantasy Pros. This really emphasizes the point that I’d be happy if over 50% of these worked. I could do the whole sub 30/40% rostered, but there’s no fun in that, and it applies to a smaller audience.
As I do my rankings, I thought it would be helpful to showcase a table of how we’re ranking offenses, granted by our PLV-powered Projections (in alphabetical order by tier). UPDATE: We’ve added distinctions for Home/Away park factors and projected strength vL and vR handed pitchers:
Remember, these offensive rankings are based on each offense’s Process+ so far this year and how we project their lineups moving forward. It means you’re going to see a little different offensive rankings than you may see elsewhere, and there will always be some surprises. This is based on skills, not purely results! To spice up these streaming recommendations, I’ve included our new daily fantasy baseball projections powered by PLV, and I’ll be competing against PL Bot to pick the best streaming option each day.
These projections are different from your typical projections as they incorporate our pitch quantifier PLV, assessing pitcher and hitter skills at a much more granular level than your standard box score.

The streaming record is determined by “Was this a productive game for 12-teamers if I started them?” Roughly a PQS with a Win and a strikeout per inning with a sub 1.20 WHIP, with a minimum of 5 IP. Close calls are decided by Twitch chat.
Note: If no pitcher under 20% rostered would have qualified for a “Streaming Win,” no loss is granted.
(Opener) – Outlines that a pitcher is being opened for that day & the pitcher listed will follow the opener.

Probably Starts
Paul Skenes vs. LAA – Oh how the mighty have fallen. He really should dominate the Angels.
Ian Seymour @ TEX – He’s been cruising and it’s Texas.
Peter Lambert vs. ARI – Lambert’s command is still there for a legit Holly.
Walbert Ureña @ PIT – Ureña has been so dang good.
Kyle Harrison @ CIN – So, that velocity was still down last time and it led to all the HRs. This may be a risky play for a Sunday.
Eduardo Rodriguez @ HOU – Same with Erod. What a Vargas Rule, eh?
Michael King vs. NYY – King is in a decent enough place at the moment to let him fly here.
Clay Holmes @ MIA – We just had a strikeout explosion from The Adobe and now he gets a great matchup. Expect fewer strikeouts than innings, with a solid chance for a WQS – Wonderful Quality Start (Win and low ratios). Should that be a thing? People will think VVPQS is the same thing. No no no, it’s a double-U, how is this so confusing?! Because of the latins and their refusal to chisel a U. Ahhhhh.
Christian Scott vs. SFG – I dig Scott’s LHB approach and hope that the RHB attack is good enough to take advantage of a poor lineup.
Tyler Mahle @ PHI – Mahle is on a heater, even if his command is a little worse than what we saw at his peak.
Questionable Starts
Kyle Bradish vs. BOS – Oh Bradish, I hate how we can’t trust you right now.
MacKenzie Gore vs. TBR – He’s a HIPSTER. Since when? Always has been.
Gage Jump @ SEA – We’ve seen both sides of the coin from Jump. Consider him as a strikeout boom-or-bust.
Aaron Nola vs. ATL – He’s likely going to keep allowing HRs, but he has a long enough leash and he’s shifted his early approach across the second half.
Jackson Jobe @ CLE – Jobe has yet to figure out how to use his secondaries effectively. The Guardians will force him to figure it out against LHB and who knows, maybe it’ll bring the best out of him.
Justin Wrobleski vs. WSH – The Dodgers pulled a fast one on us, with Wrobo Cop returning today and Sheehan likely returning tomorrow instead. I’m not as confident that Wrobleski will be able to go as long and as effectively as Sheehan, sadly.
Do Not Starts
Randy Dobnak vs. TOR – Sure, it’s possible he slings 5+ IP of decent ratios. If that’s what you need, there are a few slots with its label on the roulette wheel.
José Urquidy (Opener) vs. MIN – The White Sox pushed back Burke a day and with an opener, Urquidy could be a sneaky Sunday stream for a dub.
Bailey Ober @ CHW – Ober is at 87 mph. But it’s the White Sox. Eighty. Seven.
Brady Singer vs. MIL – This is your desperate QS play.
Tyler Phillips vs. CHC – Phillips has some promise, but the short leash, low ceiling, and Cubs offense has me staying away.
Andrew Alvarez @ LAD – It’s the Dodgers.
Cesar Perdomo @ NYM – He’s making his second career appearance in the majors and first as a starter. He tossed nearly 60 pitches in his debut on September 1st with a 93 mph heater and 85/86 mph gyro slider from the left side. Sadly, that’s not a promising arsenal.
Kyle Leahy @ COL – It’s Coors + Leahy is on a limited pitch count.
Spencer Arrighetti @ KCR – The Pasta Pirate has failed to show any growth that would have me target this. Also, the Royals have messed up Sandy and Eury lately.
Tanner Gordon vs. STL – It’s the Colorado pitcher in Coors.
Monday 9/7 Starting Pitcher Streamer Rankings
Auto-Starts
Jesús Luzardo vs. ATL – Aces gonna ace.
Dylan Cease @ ATH – Aces gonna ace.
Troy Melton vs. MIN – It was a rough one last time and he should be better here.
Logan Webb vs. STL – He’s been rock solid.
Probably Starts
Trevor Rogers vs. CLE – Oh hey, 11 strikeouts in Coors? I guess I have to roll with you against the Guardians…Seriously, he’s great.
Jacob Lopez vs. TOR – WE KEEP IT GOING Y’ALL.
Eury Pérez vs. NYM – Two straight rough ones from Pérez, while the fastballs are still high quality and he’s throwing strikes. It’ll be fine.
Noah Cameron vs. ARI – Cameron’s switch to calling his own pitches has paid off, though I am still worried that his velocity has fallen to hover 92 mph instead of pushing 93/94 mph.
Questionable Starts
Emmet Sheehan vs. CIN – He’s expected to start on Monday now and he’s been stellar in the minors.
Chase Burns @ LAD – This might be his last start and we have no idea how long they’ll actually let him go.
Matthew Boyd @ MIL – Boyd has been allowing all the HRs and failing to make up for it via swings and misses. It shouldn’t be his destiny, but it’s a lower floor than I like.
Joey Cantillo @ BAL – Cantillo’s command has been bad lately. The stuff and approach is better, though.
Joe Ryan @ DET – He’s back! It’s a Still ILL and I’m not sure how the Twins will handle this.
Michael McGreevy @ SFG – McGreevy has the ability to go six in a great matchup.
Do Not Starts
Jonah Tong @ MIA – His Triple-A approach is no different than what we saw previously, save for a larger affinity for the new cutter. That’s great! The worse fastball velocity and consistent volatility with his vulcan change is not. Be careful.
Grayson Rodriguez @ BOS – I wonder if GrayRod will ever figure out a breaker/cutter that works. At least the four-seamer/change could be effective.
Robert Gasser vs. CHC – Gasser’s cutter is cool, the rest is not commanded well enough.
Grant Holmes @ PHI – He’s done far better than we’ve expected and I’m still not buying what REB is selling.
Will Dion @ SDP – His leash is too short. Will they open for him? Or let him go at least 60 pitches?
Randy Vásquez vs. WSH – This is not worth your time unless you’ve bribed Koufax. Let me know when you do.
Patrick Sandoval vs. LAA – He’s a WHIP killer.
Jose Cabrera @ KCR – This hasn’t worked for ages.
