Rankings of the SP Streamers for today’s, tomorrow’s, and the day after tomorrow’s games for fantasy baseball.
Every day of the 2026 baseball season, I’ll be looking at today’s and tomorrow’s slate of scheduled starting pitchers and ranking their matchups for your fantasy baseball streams.
There’s a lot that goes into this and you can hang out with me on twitch.tv/pitcherlist to talk about the specific ranks as I make them every weekday morning from 10am – 12pm ET. If you have questions about these ranks, please ask during the morning Twitch AMA. Those are my office hours as I generally don’t answer comments on the site.
There are four tiers to these rankings with 12-teamers in mind:
Auto-Start – Just do it. Don’t overthink this, start the man. This includes “if I have them rostered, I’m starting them” pitchers.
Probably Start – I’m likely starting these arms, though I recognize there is more risk than we’d like there to be. Either it’s a tough matchup for a good-not-elite pitcher or a weak lineup for a volatile arm. These pitchers have a 50% or greater chance of performing well in my view and I’m starting them in the majority of situations.
Questionable Start – Think of this tier as “I don’t want to start these pitchers in a vacuum, but you could do worse.” Streamers found in this tier are not pitchers I’m targeting and are only if you are in dire need of one. To play it safe with streaming, just start the Probably Start streamers.
Do Not Start – The reward is not worth the risk. Don’t do it. Seriously, these pitchers have a very slim chance of success or sometimes none at all.
Obviously, there will be circumstances where pitchers should move between teams for your situation specifically and these new tiers should act as a little more help than the straight table from last year.
Please keep in mind that streaming is far from a perfect play. In fact, if they work out over half the time, I’d consider it a success. These matchup rankings & streamer picks are going to be wildly different than the actual results throughout the year, so please, have sympathy before the scathing comments and tweets. I’m only trying to help!
There is a second table (and now third for PL Pro members) for tomorrow’s starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.
And of course, there are my streaming picks of the day. Please keep in mind that for my streaming record, I am forced to pick a streamer every day even if they are in the bottom tier. Those highlighted in Green are that day’s streaming pick in the second tier and I’d roll with them everywhere. Those in Yellow are in the third tier and should be okay if you’re searching for something on a given day, but I don’t recommend streaming unless you’re in need. Finally, those are Red are those I really don’t want to start (they are labeled as “Do Not Start,” after all) but have no other choice. Don’t stream Do Not Start pitchers unless you are truly desperate. A streaming pick is defined as “rostered in 20% or fewer leagues” according to Fantasy Pros. This really emphasizes the point that I’d be happy if over 50% of these worked. I could do the whole sub 30/40% rostered, but there’s no fun in that, and it applies to a smaller audience.
As I do my rankings, I thought it would be helpful to showcase a table of how we’re ranking offenses, granted by our PLV-powered Projections (in alphabetical order by tier). UPDATE: We’ve added distinctions for Home/Away park factors and projected strength vL and vR handed pitchers:
Remember, these offensive rankings are based on each offense’s Process+ so far this year and how we project their lineups moving forward. It means you’re going to see a little different offensive rankings than you may see elsewhere, and there will always be some surprises. This is based on skills, not purely results! To spice up these streaming recommendations, I’ve included our new daily fantasy baseball projections powered by PLV, and I’ll be competing against PL Bot to pick the best streaming option each day.
These projections are different from your typical projections as they incorporate our pitch quantifier PLV, assessing pitcher and hitter skills at a much more granular level than your standard box score.

The streaming record is determined by “Was this a productive game for 12-teamers if I started them?” Roughly a PQS with a Win and a strikeout per inning with a sub 1.20 WHIP, with a minimum of 5 IP. Close calls are decided by Twitch chat.
Note: If no pitcher under 20% rostered would have qualified for a “Streaming Win,” no loss is granted.
(Opener) – Outlines that a pitcher is being opened for that day & the pitcher listed will follow the opener.

Jared Jones vs. NYM – Alright Jared. Throw high four-seamers and low sliders. PLEASE.
Joey Cantillo @ CHW – Cantillo still has the velocity and curveball focus. Just get that changeup command back.
Justin Wrobleski @ ARI – Wrobo Cop has allowed 4 HRs in each of his last two games. Surely that doesn’t happen again.
Ian Seymour @ SEA – Seymour just had fun in Coors and now gets the gift of @TEA. There may be an opener, too. Who knows with the Rays.
Emerson Hancock vs. TBR – He’s not impressing me as much as in April, but he’s still productive for your squads.
Matthew Boyd @ KCR – It’s a lovely matchup and I hope we get prime fastball/changeup separation.
Michael McGreevy vs. COL – It’s Rockie Road in St. Louis for a pitcher who just added 1-2 ticks of velocity.
Sean Manaea @ PIT – The four-seamer is killing it and this is an excellent matchup.
Brayan Bello (Opener) vs. ATH – The Irish Panda is moved to Tuesday, with Bello going today with an opener. He’s been far better with one and the matchup is good enough to go with him.
Questionable Starts
Brady Singer @ WSH – The Nationals aren’t as scary as they used to be and Singer has been more like his classic self.
Connor Prielipp @ MIL – I’m waiting for us to get peak Prielipp, but he’s just two starts removed from his IL stint. This could be the first of many strong outings.
Shane Bieber @ PHI – Bieber got his feel back last time out, but there is still another gear to hit with his breakers to find his 2025 form.
Cristian Javier @ SDP – Javier is throwing cutters for strikes and I think it makes for an arm who should find strikeouts shortly.
Eduardo Rodriguez vs. LAD – It’s a Vargas Rule, but it’s also the Dodgers.
Do Not Starts
Randy Dobnak vs. CHC – I know he’s been shockingly good lately, but Dobnak this is a much tougher matchup.
J.T. Ginn @ BOS – He was better than expected in his Still ILL, but I’m not quite sold that he’s a reliable arm with a good enough ceiling.
Cade Povich @ TEX – I’m thrilled we saw Povich feature changeups last time out. I’m curious if he can become a proper SWATCH in time and I need another start or two to feel properly confident. Not a terrible choice for a desperate Sunday, but generally a pass from me.
Kumar Rocker vs. BAL – I was excited when I saw 17″ of run on his sinker with command inside, then he lost it all last time out. Please get it back.
Grayson Rodriguez @ MIA – He’s commanding the heater well and the secondaries are better, but are they whiffable enough?
Ryan Gusto vs. LAA – He’s interesting, but the Marlins have kept him on a generally short leash and we’ve rarely seen fantastic performances.
Davis Martin vs. CLE – Martin is not the guy he was at the start of the season.
Grant Holmes @ NYY – I don’t buy that the cutter > slider approach is actually a good thing.
Randy Vásquez vs. HOU – He found a few more whiffs, but we have so much history to forget before we believe it.
Brad Lord vs. CIN – It’s no longer Trevor Williams and I don’t want to lean into Lord here.
Michael Lorenzen @ STL – Absolutely not.
Monday 8/10 Starting Pitcher Streamer Rankings
Auto-Starts
Tarik Skubal vs. KCR – Aces gonna ace.
Logan Henderson @ SDP – He’s making a play at AGA, isn’t he.
Trevor Rogers @ MIN – Rogers got back on track and you can’t deny him.
Sonny Gray @ TOR – It’s been Sonny for a few games now.
Probably Starts
Reid Detmers vs. TEX – Detmers was down a tick and didn’t have his best arsenal last time out. We’ll give him a handwave for an off-day.
Jacob Lopez vs. TBR – This may be shocking to y’all for a day in Sacré Verde, but I’ve seen four starts of JLo in the groove we want him to be in.
Questionable Starts
Christian Scott @ ATL – Scott had a challenge against a slew of LHB against Cleveland and impressed with a well-executed Canibal McSanchez, though he still needs to figure out his splitter and breakers to cover the bottom of the zone.
MacKenzie Gore @ LAA – Gore is a HIPSTER and the Angels are not a scary offense. If he gets the change and curve working, expect strikeouts.
Hayden Wesneski @ SFG – I was tempted to push him as the streaming pick, but he’s only executed the textbook game plan once so far. It’s convincing, yet a small sample. It doesn’t hurt pitching against the Giants in Oracle Park, of course.
Casey Mize vs. MIL – Mize had lower velocity, skipped a start, then was trounced in his debut for the Padres. The good news? The velocity returned and his slider should be better + the introductions are out of the way.
Hunter Dobbins vs. PHI – I’m higher than you expect. Even I expect. I’m also intrigued about Dobbins’ new approach of leaning into a cut-fastball + brilliant execution of his arsenal.
Noah Cameron @ LAD – Cameron is on a hot streak, but it’s the Dodgers. The fact he’s not in the bottom tier is a showcase of confidence.
Do Not Starts
Michael Soroka vs. COL – It’s a Still ILL for Soroka, who isn’t fully stretched out yet after tossing 57 pitches in his last rehab start on August 4th.
Bryce Elder vs. NYM – Elder is on a little hot streak, but it sure doesn’t feel believable.
Dean Kremer vs. BAL – Kremer came through for the Twins in his first start with the new squad, but the skills were highly suspect. It’s a revenge game, though, so interpret that however you like.
Blade Tidwell vs. HOU – Tidwell didn’t impress me enough in his return to the majors to give this a shot, even in Oracle Park. He has a shot to go 5+ frames of decent ratios, but it’s missing that extra juice and precision.
Andrew Painter @ STL – Painter returned to lead with four-seamers last time and I hate it.
Freddy Peralta @ ATH – It’s the second half of the “Green Mile” for Peralta on his new squad. We may see a larger shift in approach this time around (generally they appear in the second start, not the first), but don’t get your hopes up.
Gabriel Hughes @ ARI – He’s away from Coors and he could have success if that cut-fastball stays gloveside.
Jameson Taillon vs. BOS – As much as I’m rooting for him, I need to see a strong outing with his new team before trusting him for fantasy.
