There could be an opening for that 8th inning set up role here with how poorly Sabrowski and Gaddis have been lately…

Steven Matz — Sinker up 1.8 MPH (95.2 vs. 93.4 season avg). This is interesting to see. Gives the Rays a legit third lefty in that bullpen.

AJ Blubaugh — Four-Seamer up 1.7 MPH (97.4 vs. 95.7 season avg). This is exciting…if it sticks this time. We saw this stuff from him back in April, and then he reverted to throwing 94-95 again.

Eduard Bazardo — Sinker up 0.8 MPH (96.2 vs. 95.4 season avg). Bazardo holds a 7.30 ERA and 1.38 WHIP since the end of June (12.1 IP), but the peripherals actually look fine (2.75 SIERA, 25% K-BB), so he should be fine.
José A. Ferrer — Changeup usage 41% (+25 pts vs. 16% usual). Over the same span, Ferrer holds a 5.91 ERA and 1.50 WHIP (10.2 IP). Again, though, Ferrer has a 130 Stuff+ over this span, so the problem isn’t with his arsenal, just some bad luck/sequencing issues?

Jovani Morán — Four-Seamer up 1.7 MPH (94.2 vs. 92.5 season avg). Needed some extra juice after his previous outing against this lineup.
