Welcome to the RP Roundup, my daily fantasy baseball article reviewing every reliever performance from the previous day.
ATH 1 – ATL 5
Elvis Alvarado — 0.2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 3 Whiffs, 15.0% CSW. This isn’t as fun as I had hoped it would be. The stuff’s now taken a hit, and we are further from relevance than I’d anticipated.
Hogan Harris — 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 4 Whiffs, 26.3% CSW. Would you look at that. Turn down the stuff a smidge (fastball velo at 94 MPH) to focus on locating better, and we get this result. This is that balance we were hoping for.
Luis Medina — 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 18.5% CSW. Off the radar for now.
Robert Suarez — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. Six pitches, 3 outs.
Dylan Lee — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 6 Whiffs, 46.7% CSW. Nasty stuff from Lee today, even mixed in a pretty good changeup.
Raisel Iglesias — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 4 Whiffs, 29.4% CSW. Located alright today and avoided the slider. I am not sure I believe in this long term, but so far, so good.
TEX 3 – BAL 8
SV: Albert Suárez
Tyler Alexander — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 20.0% CSW. And this is what happens when Alexander has no command and why he is not fantasy relevant.
Carter Baumler — 2.0 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K, 5 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. The command could take some time, but the curveball can be such a good offering (and the fastball has hope too).
Jacob Latz — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 7.1% CSW. One inning-Latz is an interesting thing to see. He’ll probably be making more starts sooner rather than later.
Albert Suárez (SV) — 3.0 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K, 5 Whiffs, 23.8% CSW. Suárez got the call-up with Eflin hitting the IL, and gave the Orioles some nice length here. He went four-seam heavy (27/42 pitches) and didn’t have the best command, but made it work to get a long relief save.
PIT 8 – CIN 3
HLD: Mason Montgomery | HLD: Isaac Mattson | HLD: Justin Lawrence
Mason Montgomery (HLD) — 0.2 IP, 2 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 26.7% CSW. Ugh, what are we going to do with you, Mason? Another A+ stuff, F locations outing, but the hanging curve to Suarez that wound up being a two-run homer was the only pitch I take issue with here (bad selection and location). Right now though, it is frustrating, and I totally understand wanting to move on and chase something less volatile.
Isaac Mattson (HLD) — 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 31.8% CSW. Just filled the zone with his four-seamer here and this is more or less what we got used to last year.
Justin Lawrence (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. Better command for Lawrence, which should help keep his fastball passable.
Gregory Soto — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 2 Whiffs, 53.8% CSW. Soto missed out on two saves in back-to-back days thanks to the Pirates’ 9th inning offense. He’s been the team’s best reliever so far and probably should be rostered more.
Connor Phillips — 0.1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiffs, 23.1% CSW. Four-seam location will be the key for Phillips. It was non-existent in this one.
Graham Ashcraft — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 2 Whiffs, 28.6% CSW. The slider is nasty, the cutter at 98-99 MPH is crazy, he just needs to tighten up that cutter command. Right now, he’s throwing the ball better than anyone in this bullpen.
Tony Santillan — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 36.4% CSW. The velo is still down, but this was much better as Santillan was able to locate far more effectively. If he stays at 94 MPH, what does his season look like?
Emilio Pagán — 1.0 IP, 4 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 6 Whiffs, 30.3% CSW. We knew there would be some regression this year, and there will be outings like this. I’m not overly discouraged yet, and Pagán should have some wiggle room, so as long as he still has the closer role. He remains a middling second closer option that will likely be frustrating to roster.
WSN 5 – PHI 6
W: Jhoan Duran | L: Cole Henry | HLD: Cionel Pérez | HLD: Clayton Beeter | HLD: PJ Poulin
Andre Granillo — 0.2 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 0 Whiffs, 36.4% CSW. Left his slider up over the plate too much here and had no fastball command. He could be interesting eventually, just not quite yet.
Cionel Pérez (HLD) — 0.2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 19.0% CSW. Got got by Bryce Harper (which will happen), but the usage is still promising.
Clayton Beeter (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiffs, 31.2% CSW. The command was mostly good here, and I think the Nationals wish they had just let Beeter finish the ninth inning.
PJ Poulin (HLD) — 0.1 IP, 1 ER, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 26.7% CSW. This is why teams always wind up abandoning the closer-by-committee approach eventually.
Cole Henry (L) — 0.1 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiffs, 13.3% CSW. Oh no. Henry could not command anything here.
Jonathan Bowlan — 0.2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 0 Whiffs, 23.5% CSW. Looked better than this line suggests. Better things are to come for Bowlan.
Brad Keller — 1.0 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 31.8% CSW. Got two quick outs before allowing two singles and eventually a 3-run HR. We were expecting some regression and bad luck after last season.
Zach Pop — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 0 Whiffs, 16.7% CSW. Not bad, but I don’t think he’s going to be on this roster forever.
José Alvarado — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 3 Whiffs, 37.5% CSW. Command was still bad, and velo was down, but he survived.
Jhoan Duran (W) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. 3 sinkers at 95.4 mph is interesting, but it’s too early to panic with small sample sizes.
COL 2 – TOR 1
W: Brennan Bernardino | L: Brendon Little | SV: Jimmy Herget | HLD: Tyler Rogers | BS: Tommy Nance
Antonio Senzatela — 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 4 Whiffs, 26.9% CSW. It’s not as interesting as it seems.
Victor Vodnik — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiffs, 35.3% CSW. Command is still absent, but I see the vision. Maybe one day (preferably not in Colorado).
Brennan Bernardino (W) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 18.2% CSW. Great command for Bernadino in this one, got him through the inning but it’s not worth chasing.
Jimmy Herget (SV) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 18.8% CSW. Rode his sweeper, slider, sinker command to an extra-innings save.
Tyler Rogers (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiffs, 16.7% CSW. Two hits as he didn’t locate well, but since he never walks anyone, those ratios stay golden.
Tommy Nance (BS) — 0.1 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 12.5% CSW. Typically has great command, but he couldn’t locate anything in this one. Probably just a one-off.
Mason Fluharty — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 4 Whiffs, 55.6% CSW. So good with that sweeper. Stock is rising.
Jeff Hoffman — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 5 Whiffs, 43.8% CSW. Two of his 16 pitches were inside the zone, four were on the edges, and eight pitches were outside of the zone completely, but we will gladly take these results. Only four fastballs (two four-seamers, two sinkers) so he’s definitely taken to that lower fastball usage approach the team had talked about. That could help his ERA, but could also ding his WHIP.
Brendon Little (L) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 40.0% CSW. Tough luck loss, but I think we also need to come to terms with the fact that last year’s first half was most likely a fluke.
CHW 0 – MIA 10
Lucas Sims — 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 22.6% CSW. Good to see Sims back at the MLB level. He still has great breaking stuff, but can he locate his fastball well enough?
Chris Murphy — 2.0 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K, 7 Whiffs, 28.2% CSW. White Sox should give him a chance to start eventually. The six pitch mix looked good here.
Jordan Leasure — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 25.0% CSW. Not the best command today, but if the White Sox ever win a normal game, he should be in the holds mix.
NYM 1 – STL 2
W: Gordon Graceffo | L: Tobias Myers | BS: Huascar Brazobán
Huascar Brazobán (BS) — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 30.8% CSW. OK
Brooks Raley — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 1 Whiffs, 50.0% CSW. Super steady Raley mixing up four pitches to keep hitters off balance.
Luke Weaver — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 27.3% CSW. Stuff looked better here, the four-seamer especially. That’s a good sign.
Devin Williams — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 22.2% CSW. Didn’t have his best four-seam command, but grinded through it.
Tobias Myers (L) — 1.2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 15.0% CSW. Some bad luck for the loss, but Myers looked pretty good here.
Ryne Stanek — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 31.2% CSW. Hey, better four-seam command for Stanek here. Maybe he caught too much of the plate in his overcorrection, but it’s progress.
JoJo Romero — 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 25.0% CSW. Slider was on, and he located his sinker well. That seems to be all he needs so far.
Riley O’Brien — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 4 Whiffs, 31.2% CSW. Eight of 16 pitches were sweepers here!? It’s no coincidence that led to 4 Whiffs and 2 K’s, and this type of pitch usage has me very intrigued in him as a closer.
Justin Bruihl — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 8.3% CSW. Only threw one fastball, but that’s probably for the best.
Chris Roycroft — 0.1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 9.1% CSW. Nope.
Gordon Graceffo (W) — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 16.7% CSW. Solid command helps when your stuff ain’t great.
TBR 2 – MIL 8
W: Aaron Ashby | L: Griffin Jax
Ian Seymour — 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 6 Whiffs, 28% CSW. Mixed and matched his six pitches, but the changeup did the heavy lifting, even against lefties.
Griffin Jax (L) — 0.0 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 30% CSW. This looks bad. And it wasn’t GREAT, but it was not nearly as bad as the line looks. Jax dealt with back-to-back errors to start the inning, followed by a check swing single and a seeing eye single through the 4 hole that had a .200 xBA. He then walked Bauers on a 3-2 pitch and was pulled, and Englert allowed all of Jax’s runs to score. In save only leagues, I get wanting to move on, but we also just finished Week 1 of 26, so there’s still plenty of baseball remaining, and Jax, despite looking rusty, still has elite stuff. I think he’ll be just fine, but I get it if you are frustrated and just want to move on quickly.
Mason Englert — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiff, 15% CSW. Not interesting right now.
Grant Anderson — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 27% CSW. So solid and steady as the third righty in this bullpen. That sweeper is good.
Aaron Ashby (W) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 11% CSW. Ashby’s been fine so far, but his stuff and command have taken a hit this year. Something to keep an eye on.
DL Hall — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 5 Whiffs, 47% CSW. This will do. Changeup was really good in this one.
BOS 4 – HOU 6
SV: Bryan Abreu | HLD: AJ Blubaugh | HLD: Bryan King
Greg Weissert — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 31.2% CSW. Much better location for Weissert here, and a wide pitch mix with 5 different pitches thrown at least twice in this outing.
Danny Coulombe — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 37.5% CSW. Battling through diminished stuff, but locations are ok still.
Garrett Whitlock — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K, 0 Whiffs, 16.2% CSW. He hasn’t looked quite right since the WBC (he’s not alone), but yeah, the fastball/sinker command needs to get better here (and it will, probably).
AJ Blubaugh (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 35.7% CSW. Hopefully, he’s settling into a set-up role now because he should be seeing consistent high leverage innings.
Bryan King (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 2 Whiffs, 41.7% CSW. Pretty good outing for someone who threw 3/12 pitches over the plate.
Kai-Wei Teng — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 0 Whiffs, 14.3% CSW. Teng’s sweeper is legit, the fastball is vulnerable though. He could be interesting if he finds a way to mask the fastballs.
Bryan Abreu (SV) — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 7 Whiffs, 68.8% CSW. Abreu settled in after a lead-off home run to Anthony here, and also all of a sudden was throwing harder. It’s a step in the right direction, but I’m also not sure how much you can judge pitchers right now facing this Red Sox offense.
LAA 2 – CHC 6
Ryan Zeferjahn — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 28.6% CSW. Fastball location wasn’t great, but the stuff looks as good as ever for Zeferjahn. The team still doesn’t seem to trust him, though.
Brent Suter — 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 4 K, 10 Whiffs, 29.5% CSW. 10 Whiffs for Brent Suter in 2026 is wild. Definitely a blip more than some sort of crazy late-career breakout.
Hunter Harvey — 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 4 Whiffs, 50.0% CSW. Velo was back down under 96 mph, but it was a cold gross day in Chicago, so not too concerned. And he located it really well so.
Caleb Thielbar — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 1 Whiffs, 38.5% CSW. Amazing how good his fastball is at his age (it’s not about the velo anyway, it’s the 21″ iVB).
Daniel Palencia — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 44.4% CSW. Easy outing for Palencia. I’m excited to see him for a full seasons throwing that splitter more.
DET 0 – ARI 1
SV: Jonathan Loáisiga | HLD: Taylor Clarke | HLD: Juan Morillo
Kyle Finnegan — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 30.0% CSW. His command was all over the place today, but likely just a bad day.
Taylor Clarke (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 3 Whiffs, 27.8% CSW. I feel like Clarke got lucky here as he was just leaving his slider in the middle of the plate, but hey, sometimes it works.
Juan Morillo (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 45.5% CSW. OK, this was actually pretty good, and his locations were dinged because he threw three sliders way off the plate to the right-handed batter he faced. That batter happened to be Javier Báez, so naturally it led to a strikeout.
Jonathan Loáisiga (SV) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 3 Whiffs, 25.0% CSW. Loáisiga white-knuckled his way to his first save as a Diamondback, as he had no command in this one. He should be fine moving forward, but the command can come and go with him.
SFG 1 – SDP 7
SV: Mason Miller | HLD: Jeremiah Estrada | HLD: Adrian Morejon
Caleb Kilian — 1.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 2 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. Kilian had a week off between outings, but hey, here he is again, and he looked…just fine. Still an intriguing arsenal and I just want to see him pitch more.
José Buttó — 0.1 IP, 4 ER, 3 H, 4 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 17.9% CSW. Just say no to Buttó (ButtNó?).
Ryan Borucki — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 2 Whiffs, 66.7% CSW. Three pitches, all breakers to Merrill.
Jeremiah Estrada (HLD) — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 3 Whiffs, 30.8% CSW. I guess this was better, but the command is still missing (as is some velo).

Adrian Morejon (HLD) — 1.2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 28.1% CSW. Morejon also couldn’t command his fastball, but all things said, this could have been worse.
Mason Miller (SV) — 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 4 Whiffs, 52.6% CSW. Yep, he is the best reliever on the planet right now, and it’s not particularly close.
NYY 5 – SEA 3
SV: David Bednar
Fernando Cruz — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 0 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. The command remains a mystery game in/game out, but the four-seam (shapewise) feels improved.
Camilo Doval — 0.2 IP, 2 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 4 Whiffs, 26.3% CSW. I’m not sure if he’s hurt or what’s going on here, but another game of sitting in the 94-95 mph range. I’m a little worried since he used to sit 98 mph.
David Bednar (SV) — 1.1 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 17.5% CSW. Bednar still isn’t operating at full strength either, and again, I am a little worried about it, but let’s give it a week or two before we panic.
Jose A. Ferrer — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 1 Whiffs, 38.5% CSW. OK now, we got just 8/13 sinkers here as he mixed in his slider and changeup. More of this, please.
Cooper Criswell — 2.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 26.7% CSW. Continues to be a fine long reliever.
MIN 9 – KCR 13
SV: Lucas Erceg
Cody Laweryson — 1.1 IP, 3 ER, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 K, 2 Whiffs, 22.2% CSW. Blah
Zak Kent — 1.2 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 3 BB, 2 K, 6 Whiffs, 25.5% CSW. Blegh
Anthony Banda — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. All three of these relievers were DFA’d this offseason. Banda’s fastball has disappeared.
Nick Mears — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K, 2 Whiffs, 33.3% CSW. He should probably have a bigger role in this bullpen, but also, why is he throwing five different pitches? I guess it works.
Daniel Lynch IV — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 3 BB, 2 K, 4 Whiffs, 24.3% CSW. Lynch is nothing without command, as seen here.
Alex Lange — 0.1 IP, 2 ER, 1 H, 3 BB, 1 K, 4 Whiffs, 26.5% CSW. The stuff hasn’t completely evaporated, but his command is still a problem.
Steven Cruz — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 42.9% CSW. If Cruz were to command his stuff consistently (and it wasn’t bad here), he may be the best reliever in this bullpen.
Bailey Falter — 0.1 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 0 K, 0 Whiffs, 5.0% CSW. Not great.
Lucas Erceg (SV) — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiffs, 28.6% CSW. I know yesterday was a mess weather-wise, and Erceg shouldn’t have been needed, but he threw five fastballs here at 94.5 mph. The velocity has been all over the place with him this past month, and I don’t know what to believe. He’ll be the closer here for the foreseeable future, so he’s worth a look in most leagues, but I don’t feel too comfortable about it.
CLE 4 – LAD 1
HLD: Erik Sabrowski
Shawn Armstrong — 0.2 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 Whiffs, 21.1% CSW. He wasn’t locating at his best, but his sweeper is/was good enough to get him through unscathed.
Erik Sabrowski (HLD) — 0.1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 100.0% CSW. After throwing 19/20 curveballs the other night, Sabrowski just fired off three nasty curveballs to K Ohtani in this one. Nasty stuff.
Cade Smith — 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 Whiffs, 15.8% CSW. A little bit better with his locations in this one, and the 2-0 pitch to Freeman that was a home run wasn’t even terrible (but don’t go down and in to lefties). I’m still not too worried. He’ll get there. The stuff is still awesome.
Will Klein — 1.2 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 25.7% CSW. This type of command is why Klein has bounced around so much, as the stuff has always been there. He should be ok.
Tanner Scott — 0.1 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 2 Whiffs, 44.4% CSW. José Ramírez homered off him, and you just tip your cap, as he is one of the best hitters in baseball. Scott looked great otherwise, he actually located really well.
Blake Treinen — 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 3 Whiffs, 35.3% CSW. Idk, maybe he can locate well enough moving forward to counteract his diminished stuff. Not something I really want to chase.
