Welcome to the RP Roundup, my daily fantasy baseball article reviewing every reliever performance from the previous day.
TEX 2 – MIA 4
| Texas Rangers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tyler Alexander | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 54% CSW |
| Cole Winn | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Robby Ahlstrom | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
- Cole Winn left a slider up to Lopez here, and that two-run home run wound up being necessary for the Marlins to hang on for the win here. I’m not discouraged by the stuff, but the command needs to be sharpened.
| Miami Marlins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| John King – W (5) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Anthony Bender – HLD (8) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 60% CSW |
| Michael Petersen – HLD (11) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 4 Whiffs | 54% CSW |
| Pete Fairbanks – SV (12) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 3 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
- Pete Fairbanks got taken deep Joc once again here, this time on a cutter he left up in the zone. He got Langford to pop up, but the last two outs were hit hard as well (Nimmo’s had an .800 xBA and was a HR in 10/30 parks), so the command needs to get better here from Fairbanks. I’d expect him to make some tweaks in the coming weeks to try and get back on track.
CHC 10 – NYM 3
| Chicago Cubs | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ryan Rolison – HLD (2) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
| Caleb Thielbar – HLD (6) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
| Tyler Ferguson | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
- The results were there, but I’m a little concerned with how much the stuff was down for Caleb Thielbar, with the fastball down under 92 MPH here.
| New York Mets | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jonathan Pintaro | 2.0 IP | 4 ER | 2 H | 2 BB | 3 K | 5 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Austin Warren | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 46% CSW |
- Austin Warren was able to locate his fastball here, and assuming he’s able to do that consistently, he can be a real bullpen weapon. I’d imagine the Mets hang onto him at the deadline, but I could see a team making them an offer they can’t refuse.
CHC 10 – NYM 5
| Chicago Cubs | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gavin Hollowell – HLD (1) | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Hoby Milner – HLD (6) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Trent Thornton – HLD (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 46% CSW |
| Jacob Webb | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 15% CSW |
- Not the best outing from Jacob Webb here, but he escaped with no runs allowed at least. He got two quick outs before walking back-to-back batters, as he did not have his best changeup command. The fastball and changeup can be great, but I’d like to see at least one of the breakers stabilize for him (as well as the command).
| New York Mets | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Huascar Brazobán | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 4 K | 5 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
| Brooks Raley – L (2) | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 10% CSW |
| Luke Weaver | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
| A.J. Minter | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 16% CSW |
| Devin Williams | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
- Devin Williams was not great here, but this was also an all-time bad defensive performance from the Mets (two hits against Williams could have been errors as well).
CLE 4 – CHW 3
| Cleveland Guardians | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Erik Sabrowski – HLD (18) | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Colin Holderman – HLD (7) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Hunter Gaddis – HLD (13) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 15% CSW |
| Tim Herrin – HLD (13) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
| Cade Smith – BS (3) | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Shawn Armstrong – W (2) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 8% CSW |
- Erik Sabrowski gave up back-to-back hits on his slider, both to lefties here, which is a rarity. The stuff looked normal for him here at least, so that’s a good sign. The one mistake was just the slider he left up to Montgomery here.
- That’s back-to-back multi-run outings from Cade Smith, and this one wasn’t cheap either. He got two outs before giving up back-to-back home runs to blow the save, and Shawn Armstrong was at least able to bail him out to end the inning eventually. His velocity has been down about a MPH from average over the past two games, but I’m more worried about this Ryne Stanek level command.
| Chicago White Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Erick Fedde | 4.0 IP | 1 ER | 5 H | 3 BB | 2 K | 7 Whiffs | 28% CSW |
| Brandon Eisert | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 8 Whiffs | 46% CSW |
| Joe Rock | 2.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 3 BB | 4 K | 9 Whiffs | 41% CSW |
| Grant Taylor – L (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 35% CSW |
- Grant Taylor wasn’t terrible here; a pair of singles did him in as his fastball was hittable here, but it’s again just bad timing on his part for another unsuccessful outing. That’s now five outings in a row where Taylor has allowed runs (6 earned, 8 total runs).
BOS 6 – COL 8
| Boston Red Sox | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tyron Guerrero – HLD (5) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 28% CSW |
| Danny Coulombe – BS (1) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Justin Slaten – L (4) | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 4 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 16% CSW |
- The Red Sox bullpen will be happy to leave Coors after allowing 17 hits over six innings this series, with Chapman, Whitlock, and Slaten all enduring four-hit outings.
| Colorado Rockies | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Antonio Senzatela – W (8) | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
| Jimmy Herget – SV (2) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 45% CSW |
- It’s the Red Sox offense, so it’s not that impressive, but this duo dominated the final three innings of this game. The stuff’s still not great for either one (both sliders may be better outside of Colorado).
BAL 6 – LAA 7
| Baltimore Orioles | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grant Wolfram | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 22% CSW |
| Tyler Wells – HLD (10) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 4 K | 7 Whiffs | 32% CSW |
| Yennier Cano – HLD (7) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 24% CSW |
| Rico Garcia – HLD (11) | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
| Andrew Kittredge – BS (2) | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 18% CSW |
| Ryan Helsley | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Keegan Akin – L (1) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Rico Garcia threw seven changeups and seven sliders here as he didn’t trust his fastball, which was once again down. Garcia looks like someone who could benefit from a two-week IL break.
| Los Angeles Angels | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mitch Farris | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 5 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
| José Fermin | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Samy Natera Jr. | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 37% CSW |
| Sam Bachman | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 13% CSW |
| Chase Silseth – W (3) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
- Things are bleak for the Angels, but they should at least have a fun bullpen moving forward with the likes of Bachman, Zeferjahn, Fermin, maybe Joyce?, and Samy Natera Jr. Natera could be the next Erik Sabrowski if he can figure out his command demons.
SEA 1 – PIT 11
| Seattle Mariners | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Michael Rucker | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 8 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
| Nick Davila | 1.0 IP | 4 ER | 4 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 3 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
| Alex Hoppe | 1.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
- Michael Rucker might really be something. The fastball wasn’t as great here, but he at least located it well, and the breakers are both plus offerings potentially. I hope the Mariners keep him in this bullpen over Davila and even Hoppe if they have to make bullpen moves in the future.
| Pittsburgh Pirates | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Carmen Mlodzinski – SV (2) | 3.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 3 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
- I feel like every Carmen Mlodzinski outing out of the bullpen, he inches closer to his second-half 2025 version. Not quite there yet, but the stuff was much better here than previously.
KCR 3 – TBR 5
| Kansas City Royals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lucas Erceg | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
| Daniel Lynch IV | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Beck Way | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
- Daniel Lynch IV went heavy sinker usage here, and I think this just may be the best we get from him. I think the swing and miss is more or less gone, and we’re back to Lynch being a Toby again.
| Tampa Bay Rays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cole Sulser – HLD (5) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 36% CSW |
| Kevin Kelly – HLD (16) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 13% CSW |
| Garrett Cleavinger – HLD (12) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Bryan Baker – SV (20) | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 41% CSW |
- Bryan Baker’s 0-1 changeup to Rojas caught too much of the middle of the plate here, but other than that, he looked great. He threw one, non-competitive slider, but the pitch still appears missing from his repertoire.
NYY 4 – DET 2
| New York Yankees | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Camilo Doval – HLD (4) | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 13% CSW |
| Fernando Cruz – HLD (13) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 4 K | 9 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
| David Bednar – SV (16) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 0 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
- Love the pitch mix and sequencing from David Bednar, whose only blemish was a single to McGonigle on a 1-1 splitter (he’s just a great hitter). It may be asking too much at this point, but the cherry on top for Bednar will be getting that fastball back to 97+ MPH (95.8 MPH here).
| Detroit Tigers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jacob Waguespack | 1.2 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 5 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Enmanuel De Jesús | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
- Enmanuel De Jesús remains super underrated and someone to keep an eye on in the second half. The fastball/changeup combo at least is great, and the cutter is really not that bad either.
PHI 5 – WSN 4
| Philadelphia Phillies | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyle Backhus – HLD (1) | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Jonathan Bowlan – BS (3) | 0.1 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| José Alvarado | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 19% CSW |
| Seth Johnson – W (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Jhoan Duran – SV (19) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 4 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
- Jonathan Bowlan hung a first pitch slider to Mead here (pretty, pretty bad location) and then hit Millas with a slider…but he got Nuñez to strikeout on a slider. The slider is really good, I get it, but it’s the fastball to be excited about.
| Washington Nationals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Miles Mikolas | 3.1 IP | 0 ER | 5 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| PJ Poulin – HLD (6) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Orlando Ribalta – HLD (7) | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
| Richard Lovelady – L (4) | 0.1 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- The Nationals have 23 blown saves as a team halfway through the season (on pace for 46 blown saves). The current “record” for blown saves in a season is 36 by the 2024 White Sox. That White Sox team won 41 games total that year, while the Nationals are already at 41 wins. Imagine if they had one or two decent relievers in this bullpen?
HOU 3 – TOR 1
| Houston Astros | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steven Okert – W (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 42% CSW |
| Bryan King – HLD (8) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 7% CSW |
| Josh Hader – SV (6) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 1 Whiffs | 27% CSW |
- Josh Hader has not looked as good on back-to-back days this season, with the velocity down here and the command being off.
| Toronto Blue Jays | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tommy Nance | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Jeff Hoffman – L (5) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 46% CSW |
| Mason Fluharty | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 5% CSW |
- Jeff Hoffman didn’t allow an earned run here, but it was his stupid error that led to a run and his L. He left some very hittable pitches over the middle of the plate here too (the triple to Loperfido and the slider he hung to Smith for the final out), but maybe the BABIP luck is actually starting to swing back in his favor.
MIL 6 – CIN 5
| Milwaukee Brewers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chad Patrick – W (5) | 1.2 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 3 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Grant Anderson | 0.2 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 3 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Craig Yoho – HLD (1) | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 14% CSW |
| Joel Kuhnel – SV (6) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
- Craig Yoho’s fastball velocity is up this year, but it’s still an average at best offering, and he left one down and over the plate to Steer for a home run here. The changeup can be really good, but that fastball needs to be respectable at least.
| Cincinnati Reds | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sam Moll | 1.0 IP | 3 ER | 2 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 23% CSW |
| Tejay Antone | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 53% CSW |
| Brock Burke | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
- Tejay Antone is making things work without a fastball, basically, going 13/17 breakers here with two cutters as well. I’m skeptical about how long this will work for, but it’s working for now.
LAD 4 – MIN 3
| Los Angeles Dodgers | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyle Hurt – HLD (8) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
| Alex Vesia – HLD (12) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 3 K | 7 Whiffs | 62% CSW |
| Tanner Scott – SV (11) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 4 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
- Alex Vesia didn’t walk anyone here, so that’s a good sign, but the command was still not great. This was the best his stuff has looked in a while, though, and even the two singles were on tough pitches.
| Minnesota Twins | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anthony Banda | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Yoendrys Gómez | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 10% CSW |
| Andrew Morris | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 43% CSW |
- This late-inning trio the Twins have found did well last night, not allowing the Dodgers any more runs over the final three innings and keeping the game close. Anthony Banda wasn’t throwing 97+ MPH like he had been lately, even against the team that cut him this offseason, but he still looked good and was throwing 96.1 MPH at least.
ARI 9 – STL 4
| Arizona Diamondbacks | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ryan Thompson – W (3) | 2.0 IP | 1 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Jonathan Loáisiga | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Taylor Clarke | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Drey Jameson | 2.0 IP | 2 ER | 3 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 4 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
- Not much interest in this group anymore.
| St. Louis Cardinals | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gordon Graceffo | 1.2 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 2 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 25% CSW |
| Justin Bruihl | 2.0 IP | 0 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 2 K | 6 Whiffs | 26% CSW |
- Blegh.
ATL 2 – SDP 5
| Atlanta Braves | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| James Karinchak | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Dylan Dodd | 0.1 IP | 2 ER | 1 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 9% CSW |
| Tyler Kinley | 0.2 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 40% CSW |
| Didier Fuentes | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Ian Hamilton | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 6 Whiffs | 50% CSW |
- Didier Fuentes fastball velocity has been declining lately, but the stuff still grades out really well, so…OK? It’s worth monitoring at least. Tyler Kinley is back, so that can take some of the high-leverage work off Fuentes plate if he needs a breather (Ian Hamilton isn’t even that bad; this bullpen just keeps adding decent or better arms).
| San Diego Padres | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| David Morgan – HLD (1) | 1.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 2 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Wandy Peralta – HLD (3) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 20% CSW |
| Jason Adam – SV (2) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 4 Whiffs | 31% CSW |
- Jason Adam got the save chance here with Morejon and Miller off, and he just completely abandoned the fastball, throwing only sliders and changeups in this 13-pitch outing. Why not? I don’t know about scrapping the fastball entirely, but dropping the usage to somewhere between 10-20% could maybe work for him. I’m also not sure about the changeup, to be honest.
ATH 1 – SFG 2
| Athletics | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Justin Sterner | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 2 Whiffs | 30% CSW |
| Hogan Harris | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K | 3 Whiffs | 44% CSW |
| Luis Medina – HLD (5) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 2 BB | 2 K | 2 Whiffs | 33% CSW |
| Elvis Alvarado – L (3) | 0.2 IP | 2 ER | 2 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 1 Whiffs | 17% CSW |
- Elvis Alvarado allowed a leadoff game-tying home run here to Devers on a fastball that could have been located better, but was still more a product of Devers talent. The walk-off home run to Bericoto, on the other hand, was just a terribly located hanging slider. The overall control has been improved, and the stuffs still excellent, but now Alvarado needs to figure out command and sequencing to take that next step.

| San Francisco Giants | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sam Hentges | 0.1 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K | 0 Whiffs | 0% CSW |
| Ryan Walker | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 1 Whiffs | 29% CSW |
| Dylan Smith | 1.0 IP | 1 ER | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 38% CSW |
| Erik Miller – W (1) | 1.0 IP | 0 ER | 0 H | 1 BB | 1 K | 3 Whiffs | 21% CSW |
- Dylan Smith left a four-seamer down to Muncy here for a home run, but that was really the only mistake from him. He threw three splitters here, two of which were particularly nasty whiff pitches (sorry Butler), and if he can reel that pitch into being his third offering with his fastball and sweeper, watch out.
