Arizona Diamondbacks Top Dynasty Prospects- June Edition

Arizona Diamondbacks Top Prospects July 2025 Update

The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple levels each containing plenty of impactful prospects which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up to date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.

  • Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
  • Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
  • Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
  • Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
  • Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5

The Diamondbacks are quietly building a very strong system. Ryan Waldschmidt leads the way, but LuJames Groover is one of the more underrated prospects in dynasty. Even with the injury to Demetrio Crisantes, there is depth coming with JD Dix performing extremely well. In a deep system, their top draft pick, Kayson Cunningham, would rank sixth in this updated ranking. Keep reading for the latest news and notes from Arizona’s farm system.

Arizona Diamondbacks

Top 10 Prospects

Notable Prospect Performances:

  • Yassel Soler is a fun deep league player to pay attention to. Soler signed with the Diamondbacks out of the Dominican Republic prior to the 2023 season. Soler’s professional career has been inconsistent, and he is batting just .229 on the season. However, Soler is swinging a hot bat as of late, and there are noticeable improvements in his profile. Soler is elevating the ball more this season and chasing less. Since May 28, Soler is slashing .291/.386/.512. He has hit four home runs since June 24 and is worth keeping tabs on in deep leagues.
  • LuJames Groover has continued his excellent season in the month of June. Groover is doing everything dynasty managers want to see in his second full professional season. In 75 games, Groover is batting .312 with 10 homers. His contact rate sits at 79.2% and he is hitting line drives almost 30% of the time. Groover’s swing is smooth, consistent, and his size gives him the power to hit 20+ homers in a season. He is batting .323 since the start of June and remains an underrated dynasty prospect.
  • Druw Jones is finally showing signs of life. Since being selected second overall in 2022, Jones’ professional career has been disappointing. However, Jones has been coming alive offensively over the past few weeks. Since June 28, Jones is slashing .358/.397/.604 with three homers. This is not just a player getting hot either. This is a player who has undergone a huge swing and stance change in the middle of this season. His hands are more relaxed starting from a more loaded position now to drive power, and it is paying off in a big way. Now may be the time to buy Druw Jones in dynasty leagues.

Notable Prospect Promotions and News:

  • JD Dix was promoted to Low-A. Dix’s dynasty value is skyrocketing as of late. The 35th overall pick from last year’s draft got off to a delayed start to 2025 but is quickly making up for lost time. In 39 games at the Complex League, Dix hit .342 with one homer and nine stolen bases. In 12 games at Low-A, Dix has continued to hit and is batting .313. Dix is still working on turning his raw pop to game power, but he is showing off excellent plate discipline, contact skills, and raw athleticism. All signs point toward him continuing to move up prospect lists as the season moves along.
  • Denny Larrondo may start getting more attention after his promotion to High-A. Larrondo was a Minor League Rule-5 selection by Arizona back in 2022 out of the Yankees’ organization. Larrondo has not received much attention in the dynasty community but owns a 2.70 ERA over his last six starts. His curveball is his money pitch, getting good two-plane dive away from right-handed batters. Larrondo is unlikely to ever be an ace, but he does move into the Diamondbacks’ top ten prospect list this month.
  • Finally, Ryan Waldschmidt was promoted to Double-A. The Waldschmidt drum beat has been loud over here at Pitcher List since the off-season, and now dynasty managers will get to see him in Double-A. Waldschmidt was slashing .266/.404/.441 in 85 games at High-A prior to his promotion. The only knock on Waldschmidt is that he can sometimes be too patient at the plate. When he swings, Waldschmidt does damage with regularity. He has the raw tools to be a five-category contributor at the Major League level.
