Athletics Top Dynasty Prospects – September Edition

Athletics top dynasty prospects for the month of September

The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple levels each containing plenty of impactful prospects which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up to date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.

  • Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
  • Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
  • Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
  • Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
  • Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5

This article details all of the changes dynasty managers need to know on prospects from the Athletics. The goal is to help dynasty managers stay updated on the latest information with in-depth looks at each specific team! Each division will come with a monthly update that readers can look forward to.

This list features prospects not currently in the Majors.

Top 10 Prospects

Notable Prospect Promotions and News

  • Leo De Vries is now in Double-A. At the time of writing, the shortstop has played 15 games at the level and is hitting .267 with a homer and a pair of steals. He’s one of the game’s best prospects, so it comes as little surprise that he’s holding his own there. It also means we could see the 18-year-old switch-hitter at some point next season if he comes out of the gates hitting.
  • Right as September was getting started, the Athletic promoted Wei-En Lin to Double-A. This came after he struck out 40 batters across 30.1 innings in High-A, posting a 3.26 ERA. His Double-A debut lasted 3.1 innings, where he surrendered 2 runs, 2 walks, and struck out 2. The 19-year-old southpaw has not been getting much length out of his outings this year, but he’s been competitive against older competition. Between all 3 levels he’s pitched at this year, he holds a 3.76 ERA with 111 strikeouts through 83.2 innings.
  • The Athletics have started to assign some of their draftees to get pro experience down the stretch of the season. We likely won’t see Jamie Arnold, but Devin Taylor and Gavin Turley have both been assigned to Single-A to get their feet wet before their first full season in 2026.

Notable Prospect Performances

  • It was a solid month in August for the man known as Tommy Tanks. The only caveat is that there was just a single tank hit during the month. Beyond that, however, Tommy White hit .313 through 83 at-bats. His power, which was known to be his calling card, was less prevalent than his hitting ability. That is a good sign for when the power does come back to form.

  • In the midst of what is a true breakout season, Gage Jump did hit a bump in the road in August. He posted a 7.20 ERA through 15 innings across 5 starts. He allowed 12 ER, with 9 of them coming in a single start. So, it really wasn’t as bad as it seemed. Take away that rough start, he tossed 13.2 innings and allowed 3 runs with 13 strikeouts.
